  1. The airline has fed you crap. You can get a flight, but economy class are often getting bumped due to social distancing and limited numbers on flights. Booking business or first class usually works.
  2. It will of course depend on where you change flights. Though employers are these days pretty aware of Covid issues as they have to be.
  3. Oh, and be aware, flight are routinely getting cancelled unless you are booking at least business class and ideally first class.
  4. You will also need an exemption to travel and be prepared to do two weeks quarantine which isn’t cheap as it is in a government mandated hotel.
  5. IT and finance are complex areas. My advice would be to speak to a good registered migration agent
  6. Be very careful on taking that medication as even when prescribed some countries that you may pass through / change flight consider it illegal. There have been numerous cases of serious consequences in a number of places.
  7. Appeals are taking over two years before they are even looked at
  8. State sponsored are effectively closed as on July 1st the federal government did not allocate any places. So, although they never officially closed state sponsored, they in effect did. If you are a medical professional then you might have a chance
  9. I can’t comment on tax implications, but it is something I would strongly advise against as areas and things can be very personal and buying a house without visiting would be a huge risk.
  10. Why not contact Paul who has replied above and has contact details in his signature and he will prove details on this.
  11. Didn’t you get your 189 visa some year ago?
  12. Speak to a professional such as Paul who replied.
  13. No. Do not cancel. You would not then be eligible for a bridging visa as you need a visa to give access to the bridging visa. You have to wait till it expires.
  14. If you want a sponsored visa, it would normally be a 482 and this would be organised by the sponsor company. However, this is not the best visa. Visas that are not company sponsored are far better. Be aware though that most visas are either very hard to get or effectively closed at the moment due to Covid and likely to remain so for some time.
  15. Your son is already an Australian citizen and will just need a passport.
  16. Yes. And that is actually the most common way it happens. Once your visa is granted, you have 12 months from the date of police or medical checks to make first entry (which ever was the earliest). Then, you have five years from the date of the grant to make the move. However do note, that it doesn’t reset when you make the move. If you moved in year 5 you would need a resident return visa to leave and re enter the country. If you are thinking of 2026, then I would apply now as it is taking a year to two to process.
  17. For a 189 you would be looking at a MINIMUM of 90 points. Ideally 95
  18. We returned in 2016 after 8 years. To be honest, it was fairly smooth, given we only made the decision a week before the move. The dog though might be tricky if he hasn’t had his rabies jab yet. I would contact some of the pet shipping companies ASAP. We used Dogtainers who were fantastic Do forget you will also need an exemption to leave the country and these are not an automatic thing and people have found they need multiple applications to get a grant.
  19. Even in normal times, I would recommend you use a migration agent. These are very not normal times. There are very few approvals for visas at the moment.
  20. That is unlikely even in normal times to be a good option. In current times, far from given you would need a special exemption to enter Australia
