  1. Okay so, victoria just opened up ROI submission for visa 190 for the 2022-2023 year. I noticed that the form is pretty objective this time asking very few questions, including Salary, and the postcode of the employer. It seems like your salary is an important aspect that will decide how soon your ROI gets selected. Does anyone have any experience with this? My salary is $70000 per year approx. Can anyone suggest if this is a good salary in victoria and how soon will it help in getting ROI selected? Thanks

    Victoria ROI in Fintech

Hi, Would like to know if anyone has applied for Victoria State nomination ROI in Digital sector (FinTech industry) for 2021-2022 financial year and if they have received any response?
  3. Hey, ive just submitted my EOI for my 190 skilled visa. Does anyone know on average how long it takes for the government to review this? I’m a bit confused with the difference between the Expression of interest and the State nomination application and how these impact each other? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi all, Thought it might be useful to those of us going for South Australia state sponsorship to compare notes and timelines. Average processing time is stated as being 9-10 weeks. Our migration agent has said applicant numbers are high so this time frame could well extend. Despite technical glitches with South Australia's online system we have lodged our application today for subclass 489 state sponsorship (75 points incl. SS). We were having problems adding in all the employment details so South Australia advised us to submit anyway and forward the remaining items separately. The demand for my nominated occupation must be quite high as it's status has already changed to "low availability" less than a week after the list was released!!! It took months last year. Fingers crossed and best of luck.
  5. Hi, I am curious as to how long you have waited for an INVITATION (ITA) for State nomination 190 visa from Victoria this year? Anyone in healthcare?
  6. Hey guys, As you guys may have realised 190 grants kinda stopped after they processed most of the October cases. I am creating this thread so people who applied in November can share their timelines in one place and we can track each others cases. I applied on November 27th and my status is till received. Please share your experiences

  8. October 2014 intake Important notice - October 2014 intake - 22 October 2014 Due to high volumes, the application process for state nominated skill migration has temporarily closed. A further update will be posted on Friday 24 October 2014. Thank you for your patience. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. I have been sitting in front of my computer for the past 5 hours. Unfortunately, after millions of attempt to lodge 190 nomination - they posted this message. Was just wondering if anyone got through the entire process?

    Victoria Nomination - no acknowledgement

Hi Folks, My partner and I have recently submitted an application for Victoria State Nomination under the Primary School Teacher occupation. Submitted the application on 21st Jan, and not had an acknowledgement yet. Do appreciate it's 2 working weeks tomorrow, but wondering if we should give them a call next week to chase up? Is this what other people have experienced or it is unusual? Any help would be appreciated!

    Migration agents

Hi guys, can anyone share with me their experiences with migration agents? I am looking for one to handle my state nomination (190 visa) and do not know where to start. Thanks a lot!!
  11. Hey there, is anybody aware how can we track the status of applications processed by VIC gov in granting State Sponsorship's ? I've applied for my VIC SS on 15Nov12 and they acknowledged it on 19Nov12. got no updates from them since then. I'm worried !! Like SA and WA has a proper channel via which you can track the date of applications that are being processed. Any idea about how can we do it in case of Vic ??

    trying to get a visa

Hi Im new vto all this can anyone tell me what a state or territorry nomination is ? Is it when you apply for a visa and then you get posted to a territory that needs your profession
  13. Hello! Currently I plan to apply for Western Australia State sponsorship to get 176 visa. In http://www.migration.wa.gov.au/media/documents/SkilledStateSponsorshipGuidelienes_Jan09.pdf it is said that applicants must "bring sufficient funds into the State to cover settlement costs". Please comment from your practical experience about when and in what form the evidence about sufficient funds will be needed! At the moment of submitting State sponsorship application? At the moment of entering Australia? Is it enough to show bank statements with account balance or they are interested in cash inflows and outflows? Is it needed to physically transfer the funds to some Australian bank account? Are real estates and mortgage payments of their interest here? Can my wife's (secondary applicant) bank accounts be counted in? As these are rather practical issues, I would be glad to hear from someone who has actually gone through this in practice Thanks in advance! G
