Hi we are still in the process of submitting EOI’s and I feel like we may have to except we have missed the boat, our agent is still putting EOI’s in but the main applicant turns 45 in December surely this is too late to still apply as I can’t see us getting invited and everything being approved before then?? just wondering if anyone has any advice on this is it correct you need to have everything approved before you turn 45? I would rather our agent say we are wasting our time. Appreciate any advice thanks

Hi, was hoping for some advice, we currently have an EOI in for a 190 for NSW and we were unsuccessful for a 491 so not holding much hope for an invite. I have been advised to wait for the 1st of July I’m guessing to see if my occupation or my partners occupation is on any other lists at the moment my occupation is on the south Australian list but I don’t have the years of experience, could anyone advise what is potentially going to change on the 1st of July as I’m pinning a lot on this date and want to be realistic? prob a daft question and appreciate any advice given! thanks

Hi Guys, Just after some info please. We parted ways with our migration agent last week as we were very dissatisfied by their level of service. With them we did our ANMAC, and our EOI's were lodged earlier this year. We informed them that we wanted to withdraw from their services and we filled in the correct forms etc...all fine and sorted. However, I asked for access/copies of our EOI's and was sent a PDF copy. I pressed for login details so that we had access to it ourselves and was told that they have withdrew our EOI. Flabbergasted. They said this is part of the process of us leaving their services. Can anyone tell me whether this is acceptable practice? We have paid this agent well over £1k up until now which included them lodging our EOI's which have now been withdrawn. Thank you in advance

Hey, ive just submitted my EOI for my 190 skilled visa. Does anyone know on average how long it takes for the government to review this? I’m a bit confused with the difference between the Expression of interest and the State nomination application and how these impact each other? Thanks in advance!

Hi All!! Currently looking at submitting an EOI for the skilled visa, and to be honest I'm struggling.. ? So my situation is I am 24, 1 year graduated from a B.Sc Environmental Science, been working since graduation in a relevant job (6 months in one place and currently 6 months in my new job). I'm from Ireland, so do I need to do the English Language assessment, or should I be doing it anyway to gain points? I will have no problem getting confirmation of my 1st job but don't want to ask for anything in this one yet as I am enjoying it and don't want them to know I won't be staying past 1.5yrs. Any way around this, copy of current contract maybe? I assume I will have to submit to VetAssess also. I want to do it on my own as it's already expensive enough without paying an agency. Any help is greatly appreciated!! ?

Hi all, I wondered if anyone could help to give me an estimate of timescales? I have applied for expression of interest in the beginning of December for 189 visa for social worker and wondered if anyone knew how long I could be waiting. I applied with 65 points. I have been doing some reading and believe that other occupations have been offered if they have 70 points but nothing specific to social work. Thank you for any information you can provide

have a query due to which I am confused and have not submitted my visa application yet for which I need clarity. I have worked in three different job positions during my career which are all related to my nominated occupation ‘ Marketing Specialist’ (225113). Details are: Position1: Job Title: Territory Executive Occupation: Marketing Specialist Company Name: Pakistan Tobacco Company Start date: 17/02/2014 End Date: To date (mentioned 20/08/2014 while filling form) Position 2: Job Title: Business Executive Occupation: Marketing Specialist Company Name: Premier Distributors Start Date: 27/03/2012 End Date 10/02/2014 Position 3: Job Title: Management Trainee Occupation: Marketing Specialist Company Name: Premier Distributors Start Date 26/12/2011 End Date 26/3/2012 However in my Skills assessment from Vet assess only "Position 2" is assessed positively from 05/2012 10/2013 – at the time I sent my application for assessment Position 1 is not mentioned because I joined that job after assessment and position 3 is not there because of unavailability of reference letters at that time. My all positions are consistent with a career advancement pathway and I do have all the necessary reference letters and evidences which shows that all of my employment roles are relevant to my nominated position. . That is why I mentioned "YES" on the below question: Is this employment related to the nominated occupation: “Yes” I am not claiming any point for any of my work experience as my total experience is less than 3 years and my points in EOI and points claimed in Visa application are same so everything in EOI and Visa form is consistent. and I have mentioned these in Employment history Since my current EOI is mentioned correctly, I would like to know whether I can proceed with the visa application with current EOI or I need to fill new EOI again and mention the employment which is only assessed by Assessment Authority. I already got invitation and and now just need to press last button of submitssion of Visa. If some one have gone through such situation or can clear situation to me I will be very thank ful

1. I was assessed by ANMAC under the ANZSCO 254418 Registered Nurse (Medical) when I worked at a hospital. Then I worked as a Utilization Review Nurse in an office after, which I need not submit to ANMAC. Is this considered as related to my nominated occupation when I answer the EOI for visa 189? 2. From a business short stay visa, I am currently on bridging visa A for student visa. Is Australia my usual country of residence in the EOI? I’ve been staying in Australia for almost 7 months and returned to my country of origin for 1 month in between. 3. I recently had my medical exam this February for the student visa. How can I use the same HAP ID for the visa 189 application? Thank you!

Hi all, Looking for some advice on reapplying for a 189. Have just received a refusal notice for my original application as my skills assessment was dated after the date my visa invite (12 days!). I thought I had a valid skills assessment at the time of my EOI, but later realized Engineers Australia had omitted a year and a half worth of experience due to lack of evidence which put me below the required 3 years. I submitted further evidence to Engineers Australia to rectify this. My question is, seeing as how I unwittingly gave false information in my expression of interest, will this have on a negative impact on a new application. I have just submitted a new EOI. Absolutely gutted, thought we were in! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Is the 12 month de facto relationship requirement at time of Expression of Interest?
Guest posted a topic in Visa Chat
Is the 12 month de facto relationship requirement at time of Expression of Interest or Visa Application? All the information I have read about de facto relationships is at time of visa application. However an Expression of Interest is not a Visa Aplication? I ask because me and my partner want to apply for a 189 Visa and have been in a de facto relationship for 11 months. I have heard that the first round of invitations for 189 Visas is due in August (and assuming we get invited to apply as we have 75 points), this will mean that we would have been together for 12 months at date of Visa Application. If we wait until August to submit an Expression of Interest we don't know when the next round of 189 Visa invitations will be? Does anyone know any more about this? I am tempted to play safe and wait until August as we have already lost £2,000 in our first visa by mis-reading the requirements. Thanks
