  1. All adult need their own application. When he does his, there is an option to link to yours so that you get invited to the same ceremony
  2. Speak to an agent. Though it is all a bit moot at the moment as Australia has closed its borders and isn’t expect to open up till mid next year.
  3. I think for most people, it is a hard decision. We returned in 2016 after eight years in Australia. There are things we miss, but overall, we are very happy to be home. I do think the way in which we did it was the best way. We made the decision on the Monday and I flew that Friday with my wife following a week after as we had to wait for the dogs rabies vaccination time. It removed the dithering which I think many people find stressful and although it was stressful selling all our possessions in a week (the house was already on the market) it meant there was a fixed line in the sand. You will miss things about Australia, that is normal. But, we were also more amazed by the U.K. than we thought we would be. Things we had taken for granted are seen in a totally new light. All I can say is that for us, it was the right move and I doubt we will ever even visit Australia again.
  4. That does sound like a gap. If one visa expires, even by minutes, that it can not be counted. Also, you most meet the residency rules.
  5. It does depend on the situation, but £30k is a good average in “normal” times. However, we are not in normal times and so it is hard to say. The biggest cost is living expenses until you find a job. Normally, I would advise someone to have enough cash to be able to live on for at least 3 months. But, these are very different times. The world, including Australia is going to be in recession. A severe one. So that needs to be factored in.
  6. If there is any gap in visa then that can not be included. You must have held visas continuously
  7. Yes, as long as there is no gap in visas.
  8. The world is going to have some issues. But, different areas are going to do better than others. My own for example is booming. The companies biggest headache now is that while we were locked down, we had so many orders come in, we don’t how to get them all done.
  9. Has your wife been granted a visa?
  10. The 124 is aimed at thing like international film stars, major name sports people and the like. The 457 no longer exists and the replacement 482 is very rarely been granted now as Australia has closed its borders to none citizens and residents. It will make exceptions, but mainly for people such as doctors

    Medical

Are aware of the issues with sponsorship? It is very rarely the best visa option.
  12. We used Dogtainers and found them excellent
  13. Working in Adelaide would not have qualified you anyway. It also seems unlikely the nature of your work would. Though Australia has closed its borders now and is likely to remain so for some time.

    NURSING

Get a visa and move over.
  15. Speak to a good registered migration agent and do consider lots of if like ifs, lie if you fail the medical and have to leave
  16. Where have you seen this news as I haven’t
  17. I think, just personal view, that it is unlikely Australia will open its borders this year.
  18. You do realise they are looking at about 8 years on a bridging visa?
  19. Try dogtainers https://www.dogtainers.com.au/contact-us/
  20. Have a look through this thread https://www.pomsinoz.com/topic/193485-skillselect-ens-186-timeline/
  21. Use an agent. This visa has a very high failure rate for those that don’t.
  22. Any of the agents that post regularly on the forum would be good.

    IELTS

Because you are U.K. citizens. Normally, UK citizens only take it to increase points for skilled visas.
  24. These are not even been processed at the moment. On permanent residents and citizens can enter. Even citizens can’t leave without a special exemption
  25. Australia is expected to maintain its borders closed at least the rest of this year. Probably longer.
