  1. That's good, but applicants should never take anyone else's processing time as gospel. Processing times can fluctuate dramatically depending on case officers' workloads. Regards, Richard
  2. You need to have three months full time experience in last 5 years for ANMAC. In my experience, ANMAC are happy to equate 'full time' as 20 hours per week, as that's the minimum accepted by immigration. Regards, Richard
  3. Try downloading the Metal Fabricator fact sheet from the Vetassess website. That will give you a heads-up on what they are looking for. Regards, Richard
  4. Yes, 3 or 4 months for AHPRA is common. Regards, Richard
  5. For AITSL, the qualifications are key, and cannot be 'supplemented' or replaced by employment experience for a positive assessment. Regards, Richard
  6. Their processing time has extended to 12 weeks, particularly with the additional checking stage at the end. Many clients are reporting longer processing times just now. Regards, Richard
  7. A statutory declaration from a practising solicitor is acceptable. Regards, Richard
  8. Three months is what you need.
  9. Have you downloaded the technical interview fact sheet and candidate guide from the Vetassess website? This will give you a heads-up. Regards, Richard
  10. You'll need a minimum of 20 hours per week to qualify as that is what is accepted as a minimum by immigration also. Regards, Richard
  11. The new TRA double checking procedure is definitely adding delays to the final issue of the result. In terms of the technical interview, sometimes it comes down to availability of assessors. There's no harm is asking for an update from them from time to time though, as they can occasionally forget about you. Regards, Richard
  12. Bear in mind that TRA now double check all Vetassess trade assessments prior to the issue of the final outcome, so all Vetassess applications are facing a delay just now. The checking process seems to add on a few weeks extra. So if you are waiting on results and it's taking a while, this will be the likely reason. Regards, Richard
  13. We would need to have more details, but possibilities include getting superior English for 20 points, and considering state sponsorship for an extra 5 points? Regards, Richard
  14. The 189 and 190 are both permanent visas. Regards, Richard
  15. The occupation must be on the same list yes, and you must have 'currency' in the occupation being applied for. e.g. if applying via Vetassess then 4 years full time *paid* experience in the occupation, including 6 months in past three years, or with ACTS, then 3 years experience, including 1 year in last 3. Regards, Richard
  16. I suspect your Level 3 diploma would be assessed as equivalent to an AQF cert 4, so it wouldn't be at the right level. To be equivalent to an AQF diploma, you really need an HNC or HND level qualification.
  17. TRA are a skills assessing authority.
  18. Internships taken during a degree don't count for points. Vetassess also minus at least one year to meet the skills requirements. You are not going to get employment points any time soon, so you need to look at other ways of generating points. Regards, Richard
  19. We've never had to use TRA's points test advice service. You can of course apply should you wish piece of mind on whether your employment is relevant or not for points, but on the other hand it's only advisory anyway, and immigration are not obliged to go along with what TRA say. Also, you're adding on 3 months to your overall timescale as TRA take around 90 days to process a PTA. Regards, Richard
  20. You don't need IELTS as part of your skills assessment, but you will quite possibly need it for points at the visa stage, as the points system is weighted towards English language. I advise you give it a go, or PTE Academic. Regards, Richard
  21. This shouldn't be a problem as it's very recent work experience. You don't need to request a new ANMAC assessment! Regards, Richard
