Hi All, I am currently investigating applying for my Skills Assessment as a Hairdresser to then apply for a 176 SS Visa. I have been working as a Self Employed Mobile Hairdresser for 10 years now and am finding it hard to gather all the required documentation they want for the Skills assessment. I have a client base of over 100 people and have built up my business through word of mouth mainly. Has anyone else applied in the same situation?? And what evidence did you provide?? HELP!! Hi everybody! Since I studied in Australia for half a year I have the desire to move there. The last couple of years I studied psychology in my home country Belgium and before I get assessed by the APS I would like to know what my changes are for getting accredited. I will outline my trajectory to give you guys an idea of my situation: 2012 - 2016 (4 years of studying, including half a year in Australia at UTS): studied Bachelor and Master in Communication Sciences 2017 (februari) - 2019 (1,5 years of studying): Preparation program in Psychology (in Belgium it is possible to obtain the bachelor in psychology after communication sciences by doing a preparation program) 2019-2021 (2 years of studying): Masters in psychology which included 1000 hours of supervised practice with 70% of client focused work I'm accredited in my home country now and already working a couple of months as a clinical psychologist. In total I studied around 7,5 years, but I might not have enough supervised experience. Hope some of you can help me! Thanks a lot! :) 2021-Pathways-to-Registration.pdf

Conditional rejection by ASMIRT or other assessment orgnization
zara2009 posted a topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Hi guys Has anyone here become conditionally rejected by ASMIRT (or any other organization) and was needed to take necessary courses in an Australian university to become successfully assessed? How long did it take? If it was less than 6 months, would it possible for the partner to get a visa as well? How much did it cost for you? -
UK employer reference format not listing duties IT/ASC
A_JENNINGS posted a topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Hi, I applied for a skills assessment with ASC and had all of my experience marked as "Not Assessable Due to Insufficient Documentation". 10 years as a software developer and 4 years as an agile coach. I asked for feedback as I am not using an agent I did this myself (which I regret now) "An employer reference letter/third party statutory declaration (along with supporting documentation) which details your duties is mandatory for every employment episode for the skills assessment." In the UK employer references tend to be brief (salary, job title and duration) all of my previous employers said this is the only format they provide this information in. How do people get around this? Do I need to ask an ex colleague to write a Statutory Declaration in front of a Notary as it really seems like overkill. Thanks in advance, Alan- 1 reply

I'm in the process of Applying for my Skills Assessment by Engineers Australia including a Relevant Work Experience Assessment. On the Engineers Australia website, I've seen the excel spreadsheet which lists the summary work experience. However it also talks about having a more detailed "endorsed" document which should detail exact periods of work, specific duties etc. which needs to come on Company Headed paper. I'm lucky to have worked for the same employer for over 10 years and for a lot of that time I have worked predominently for one manager who is personally willing to assist me with a statement but i am reluctant to "officially" inform the personnel department by asking for a formal company statement until our Visa is either well underway or granted. Can anyone out there advise me on their experience of RWE statements or possibly share a copy of one? My specific queries are (a) typical content of a statement (b) who it needs to come from? I.e. does it need to come from the personnel department or can it come from a direct manager provided it is on headed paper? The company I work for is a large multi-national and we have little contact with the personnel department so the person writing the statement from personnel is unlikely to know me and will just copy facts from the Company payroll system etc. Your help much appreciated Ashley:hug:

Change in ACS assessment: Software Engineer 261313 to ICT BA 261111
NickB89 posted a topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Hi all, My old positive ACS assessment which was for Software Engineer 261313 is now expired. Meanwhile, I have got 482 TSS and currently working in Australia and while lodging the application for 482 the consultant lodged my profile as ICT BA 261111. Now, I want to again apply for ACS, please let me know for which code shall I again apply. ICT BA or SE? Question2: if now I apply for ACS with BA code then can ACS change my previous exp or skill from SE to BA. I will get points for SE or BA in-case I apply for 189/190. Also, My employer is going to provide sponsorship for 186 ENS visa and for that I should have an active assessment. Please let me know what will be the result of my assessment if I can re-apply for assessment and change the code.- 1 reply

Any one got a successful ACS assessment as ?ICT Business Analyst - 261111?
Guest posted a topic in Visa Chat
Hi All, I'm new here.:wubclub: I just need some help regarding my ACS assessment. I have both bachelors and masters in IT and planing to get myself assessed as ICT Business Analyst - 261111. I have five years experience in Telco domain, but there's a bit of a problem with my designation, it goes as Product Development Executive but my day today job tasks involve the tasks as explained in both ABS and ACS sites. My queries; I can get a letter from my employer but my designation will be Product Development Executive will it be a problem for ACS? When I write this letter do I have to mention about the individual project I have carried out like most programmers and software engineers does? Problem is when it comes to programmers they can say that they used different technologies & programming languages for each and every project, but I don't really undrstand how to go to that minute level & is it really necessary for this BA ANZSCO? Highly appreciate your feedback & hoping this thread would be useful for future applicants going to take a similar route :wubclub:- 12 replies

Hellos guys, I'm new to this site but I urge some help please. I have applied for a migration assessment with AITSL and my file, as far as I know, had all required documents: bachelor's degree five years, teaching practice certificate 30 days +30 days making 60 in my last year of studies, ietls with the right score and many other letters from uni which I requested to make it clear how uni works here in my country. Also I have sent the syllabus of the the Professional practice since this was a course in the last year. All papers were signed stamped by principals and authorities and all. I even hired a Mara agent to make sure everything was going right. Good money I have spent. Now my question is, it's been nearly 3 weeks and AITSL already sent the mail saying my assessment is now complete. I'll be getting the official outcome next week through the lawyer. My big question is how come THEY TOOK SO LITTLE TIME? IS IT A BAD SIGN?? IS IT STH GOOD?? HAS ANYONE HAD THE RESULTS IN SUCH A VERY SHORT TIME?? PLEASE ID LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT UR EXPERIENCE, I'M GOING CRAZY. I asked a few people and they told me that aitsl usually get in touch with you when sth is wrong or need more explanation. In my case, they haven't even replied to one mail my lawyer sent about the change of director in my uni. I mean my uni assigned another person to be the new director but she could have verify any information too. So we sent an email and they never reply and now they say the outcome is ready. Please help

Hi I am new to this so please forgive me if this is wrong! I am wanting to move to Australia asap. I have just finished my Business and maths degree and want to become a teacher. However after working part time in a school I really don't want to teach mainstream and want to teach sen .. I have found this relatively new pgce... https://www.shu.ac.uk/study-here/find-a-course/pgce-pgce-post16-and-further-education-special-educational-needs Sen Pgce for further education. Does anyone know if this alone would qualify me as a Sen teacher in Australia? I will meet the 45 days needed as per below but don't know if a pgce with a sen specialism is enough . Many thanks L

Kindergarten Director trying to migrate as Childcare Center Manager. Enough for TRA assessment?
yoshimainoz posted a topic in Visa Chat
Hello! I am new to pomsinoz but I would really appreciate any help you can provide. I have been a kindergarten/preschool director for 5 and a half years and before that I have been an early childhood teacher for three years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education. I am planning to migrate to Oz as a Child Care Center Manager (ANZCO 134111) with the Direct Entry stream - 186 visa. The first step in this process would be to get a successful assessment from TRA. I think immi requires a BA for this position (because it's at skill level 1). As a kindergarten director I have done all the tasks (and more) listed on the immi website for this job and the kindergarten where I have worked resembles in a lot of ways a Childcare Center (after-school, offered lunch, nap time, etc.). I believe these should be enough but I am not sure what TRA is looking for... Do you think I am qualified enough and have enough work experience to get a successful assessment from TRA? Any advice you could give me would be great- 8 replies

Thomas Noble posted a topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Hello Everyone, I am about to apply for an ACS assessment and it would be appreciated if anybody can shed some light on the following scenario. I did diploma in Electronics and then i got admitted in second year/3rd sems of B.Tech in Computer Science. So should I include my Diploma certificates along with the Degree certificates? Or do they need any other letters from university which sets out why they allowed you to start in the second year of the degree course, because of your previous proven studies? If anybody did a similar assessment could you please help me here. Thanks, Noble- 5 replies

Hello, At present my application is being reviewed by VETASSESS, I applied for priority screening to speed up the process because if my age factor. Now my question is, the other day I received a call from VETASSESS and was told that it was an assessment call, all we managed to do was a formal introduction and before the assessment could begin the call dropped off and I did not receive a call again. Will this have an impact on my application or process time? Thank you.

Hi all, looking for any advise / knowledge around this. Continuously paying different amounts of money to different people and hearing differing opinions, its all rather confusing. I have an honors degree (4 years) graduated 2013. Psychology. have worked in the field in my field 2.8 years. on a 457 visa, have a sponsor to do 186 but have not been with them 2 years. my degree is deemed not relevant to my occupation. Residential Care Officer. Positive skill assessment thus came out as 0.8 The assessment is used to help points based visa. Is 186 a points based visa? Does my degree need to be 'relevant' for my sponsored job?

Hello to the beautiful people of pomsinoz. I have a question that has been confusing me. The Question is: Once you get a positive assessment by TRA. How much time do we have to apply for the EOI (Expression of Interest)? Since I need to do IELTS during this time too.

I have completed my Bachelor (3 Years) degree in Arts (not related to ICT), but my MBA (2 Years Post Graduate degree) in Information Systems which has more than 50% subjects or units related to ICT. Therefore could you please confirm that in this scenario my MBA would be recognized by ACS?

Graduate Diploma (RPL) - Vetassess Question
Louise Palmer posted a topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Hi, I have been living and working in Australia since February 2015. I have, however, been with my current employer since October 2016. My employers would like to sponsor me for PR, but since I have not been with them for 2 years, I require a skills assessment with Vetassess. I have 12 years experience in my role, however I am not degree qualified. I have contacted a company called Get Qualified, and they said my experience can be transitioned/recognised as comparable to a Graduate Diploma - http://qualifyme.edu.au/qualifications/graduate-diploma-of-management-learning/ . This qualification is nationally recognised. This is actually higher than a Bachelor Degree (Undergraduate program). On Vetassess website, it says that in order to get a positive skills assessment, I require a qualification comparable or higher than a Bachelor Degree for my chosen occupation. So, in theory, if I get this qualification, would that be sufficient for a positive assessment?- 3 replies

Hi everyone. I have today received a negative PASA (Pre-Application-Skills-Assessment) from the ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accoutants of Australia). I'm an Accountancy & Finance graduate 2:1 (BA Hons). The ICAA comfirm that my degree is assessed as comparable to the level of an Australian Bachelor degree based on AEI-NOOSR guidelines but I am not suitable for my nominated occupation as Accountant 2211-11. They say that this is because not all of the core knowledge areas have been studied in my degree or have not been covered in sufficient depth. I have been working in practice as an Accountant since graduation for the past nine years. I was hoping you might be able to advise if there is any point in me contesting this or if there would be any point in having my skills assessed by another recognised accountancy body? The news has left me totally devestated. I was confident this would be only a formality. I am part-qualified ACCA with my final three exams left to do. However, I have a little boy aged two and I didn't really want to wait for the 12 months post qualified once I have completed ACCA before going. Would it be an option for me to acquire an employer sponsored Visa now and make entry that way. Would I be automatically accepted for PR after two years? I would be sincerely grateful for your thoughts, I really would. Many thanks, Helen

Hi to you all. This is our first post, the trades recognition is our first step on gaining a skilled migrant visa to NSW, Sydney. I have been self employed for 10 years and run a successful landscape design and build company but have no formal qualifications for TRA. I have been told to do the RPL, cost AUD$2,300, to gain a certificate III in Horticulture (landscaping). I have a website Hopkins Gardens, testimonials and portfolios, is there anyway of avoiding the assessment and applying directly to TRA. Can anyone hazard a guess to how long it will take 'till we receive our permanent visa? We feel rather knocked back having made the decision to go. Your advice would be greatly appreciated!
