  1. Hello lovely people, I'm hoping to apply SA state sponsorship to give me 80 points and a better chance of an invite. On their website it says for my code Registered nurse (critical care and emergency) = '5 years work experience in field'. Does this mean specifically 5yrs in critical care and emergency nursing or 5yrs as a registered nurse? Its not very specific and I don't want to waste $200 finding out. I meet all the other criteria. Advice please Thanks xx
  2. Hi, No I haven't as they're not sponsoring my SOL at present but as this might change on 1st July I did an EOI for the 190 anyway. Fingers crossed I might get one for the 189 though.
  3. Hi all, I have recently put in EOI for 189/190 visas together... I've have since read I should have perhaps done a separate EOI for each but it gave me the option of both so I checked both boxes. I was hoping for SA state sponsorship but they have recently put restrictions on my SOL (only offering temporary visa at the mo) but I still put in the EOI in case it changes while I am waiting for a 189 invite. Should I delete the 190 and do a separate EOI? Is it okay that I have both visa option on the same EOI? Will this affect my invite? Thank you all Claire x
  4. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum. I'm just wondering please - I applied to ANMAC last month. Not heard from them yet which is fine as I understand takes around 10wks but I'm just concerned regarding my degree qualification. I did the DipHE of adult nursing and then over the years have topped up to my degree with relevant courses at the same university (Principles of neurosciences for health and Principles of Emergency care). I have a degree but it says 'specialist practice' not adult nursing on the certificate so will they accept it being a top up? Anyone has a positive skills assessment from ANMAC with a topped up degree from a diploma? Would really put my mind to rest thank you. Good luck to you all. I'm hoping to get 5 points with my letter of determination and apply SA state sponsorship for 190 visa by xmas. Anyone else at the same stage as me?

  6. Thank you for the link. I'd only briefly looked into SA sponsorship as was more focused on currently getting my skills assessment done. I thought I just needed a utility bill from my dad to prove he is a resident of SA and my birth certificate - I hadn't seen this. We'd probably need to be together to can get this done so I can bring my paperwork with me and get this done when I'm over there in Oct/Nov. Really big help thank you so much, this might have been tricky had I found out after our trip!! I don't suppose you know if they ask about work hours when applying for the visa do they? If once I've got a positive skills assessment (fingers crossed) I could drop my hours or give up altogether in the next few months to do more agency work I could certainly earn more money to take with us to buy furniture/car etc (and guarantee one last xmas together in the UK with my husbands family). Don't want to jeopardise anything though. Any thoughts please?
  7. Hi Amber2106. I am curious as to the outcome of your ANMAC please. I will be applying ANMAC next week but was then hoping to drop my hours so although my code will be the same and my reference states my current hours of employment just wondering how this may affect EOI and 190 visa application. in the future. Have you been granted a positive skills assessment? Anything you found out would be helpful please. Thanks
  8. Hi all, I am new to the forum and was looking for some advice please. I am hoping to emigrate to Adelaide next year and am in the early stages of the process. I will be applying for my skills assessment with ANMAC by the end June (IELTS done R8.5, L8.5, S8.5 W8.0). I believe I have 60 points + 5 from SA sponsorship = 65 (I have family in SA so fingers crossed). I am going over for a month Oct/Nov with my children to visit family and am hoping to apply for a 190 visa by Dec this year. My question is re: work hours. I am currently employed in my SOL profession but was hoping I could reduce my hours shortly after applying to ANMAC so I can save more money and be more flexible by doing more agency shifts. Is this wise? Do I still need to be employed more than 20hrs a week on contract when the skills assessment comes through, or when I apply for the visa - does it ask about current work hours when you apply or is the positive skills assessment enough. Or do I need to still be working in my SOL when the visa is (hopefully) granted but this will be more than a year from now. Anyone whose applied for a 190/189 visa advice please....
