  1. I’m in Australia already, so should I apply to NESA or ACECQA?
  2. So we need to register with nsw teachers board or Acecqa to work in a day car/preschool?
  3. I think so, but you will be granted the bridging visa only when your tourist visa expires tho.
  4. Yes, my parents were able to open bank accounts at Commonwealth bank with just their visitor visas.
  5. I think it should be fine. Coz a pgce is considered as one year. Did she ended up applying for her pr?
  6. Submitted my AITSL assessment today. The waiting begins.
  7. Congrats. Will submit my application this week. Urs took 12 weeks to process ? Which state are you going to apply to and how many points have you got? All the best
  8. That’s true, but it’s something I definitely need, with the current system making it near impossible to get an invite. Does having a job offer/ working in that profession help with being invited by the state? I’m currently studying towards another qualification, once I receive this qualification, I would no longer work as a teacher, would this be an issue? But would use it to apply for my pr.
  9. Yes, but I’m allowed to work 40 hours a fortnight on student visa. I’m based in nsw and since I’ll be teaching in daycare/preschool do I still need to get registered with the state teaching board?
  10. So even if I’m studying full time, I can work 20 works per week and claim that as 1 year experience? I’m already a qualified early childhood graduate. And also would I need to get my degree accessed by any other boards other than AITSL? Before I start working ?
  11. Okay, good luck. Did Sunderland guve you a long letter as well ? Or a specific one ?
  12. I personally feel singles are set to benefit the most from the changes happening. Anything got any data on what % of applicants are single?
  13. Hi SoniaH, was aitsl happy with the letter Sutherland provided? Because they have given me this 2 page letter.
  14. Hi guys, did you guys end up applying for AITSL assessment?
  15. Hi, did you submit your pgcei for aitsl assessment? I’m in the process of getting my paperwork sorted.
  16. Hi guys, so I finally got the letter from my university( Sutherland PGCE) they have me this really long letter writing in full detail about all the modules, within which they have mentioned the age group as well as the fact that I have done 60 days of supervised teaching. What I’m concerned is that they have mentioned that it is a full time 36 week course. And also that I did 6 weeks of teaching practice with approximately 11 hours of teaching per week and another 6 weeks block with approximately 14 hours of teaching per week. Will AITSL be happy with this letter ? dnt really want them to have an issue because the assessment alone is $900
  17. During the September invitation round 85 points was the lowest tho. Unfortunately, although you can lodge an Expression of Interest with 65 points, the DHA have not invited applicants for a considerable time as only the highest ranked applicants by points score are being invited to apply for a subclass 189 visa for Australia. In the last published invitation round held on 11 September 2019, applicants with a points score of 85 whose Date of Effect was 03 August 2019 received invitations. A total of 100 applicants were invited to submit a Skilled Independent visa application.
  18. I got another question, do you guys think states have preference ielts/PTE? Especially NSW?
  19. That’s for the 190, not the 189. And I dnt think they are inviting at 65 points. How many points do you currently have, without the points for English? Btw if you dnt mind me asking what’s the name of your agent?
