  1. I’m not exactly sure, but my understanding is that you can go for any of the specializations, saying that that’s what you are planning in specializing in.
  2. I still cnt understand why the states are not issuing more 489s.
  3. I’m not entirely sure about this. But it should be possible. Since one is able to able for while on student visa itself.
  4. All the best :), keep us updated.
  5. What’s the breakdown of your points? With 75, you should have got a 189 invite itself already. http://www.iscah.com/eoi-invitation-estimates/
  6. https://www.sbs.com.au/news/australia-s-new-immigration-minister-reveals-visa-priority pushing for more regional migration, when will we get to know how he is planning to make this work??
  7. True, that would be for the councils/people to decide.
  8. North Queensland is not asking for independence, they just want to form a new state within Australia. With time they would be able to support other states, with their surplus.
  9. Tbf northern Queensland has a bigger population/GDP than Tasmania. And it is fast growing.
  10. 3) I would recommended Belong, it uses the Telstra network as well. It’s dirt cheap, with unlimited calls(including to UK). https://www.belong.com.au/mobile/plans
  11. Immigration Minister David Coleman says he is looking "very closely" to provide incentives and simplifying the visa process to get more migrants to move outside of the major cities. Mr Coleman says giving immigrants good reasons to move to regional areas and ensuring they remain living where they said they will is key. "It's also about ensuring that that's followed through upon. Obviously if people come on a visa that's meant to be based in a regional area then compliance needs to be there to make that happen." https://www.sbs.com.au/news/migrant-group-warns-against-regional-push seems like they are going to encourage people to move to regional areas rather than forcing.
  12. All the best ?
  13. That’s pretty fast. When did she apply for her 189?

You could try asking in this thread.
  15. Do you early childhood teachers are also in demand ?
  16. Yep, for a 190 visa, you can stay anywhere in the state, even Sydney.
  17. You could probably go with option 2 and apply for 489, while in Oz?
  18. Yep that would be a good idea. Check under cep( country education profile) whether the degree is considered equivalent to an Australian bachelors. You could probably ask other members or migration agents who have access to the CEP.
  19. Yep totally agree with you. They might introduce another visa with an extended stay in a region before moving onto pr in the near future.
  20. Probably would be a good idea to study at one of the universities in Western Australia. Curtin?
  21. Which university was your bachelor of music from? Is it recognized by Australia ? If so you will need to study only 1 more year and do a pgce in early childhood. If it is not recognized, then you will have to do a 4 year degree.
  22. Tasmania is heavily pushing for more migrants to move to the state, so unless enough houses are built, houses prices are bound to increase in the state with the increase in demand. Tourism in Tasmania is on the rise too, which would again push the house prices on the long run.
