  1. I’m planning to apply for the same later this year. Do you have any work experience ?
  2. What documents did you supply to them? Do you need to provide letter from the university ? And what should it include ?
  3. So if we applying onshore better to front load all the docs ?
  4. Okay, I would hopefully have 70 points when I get my pgce completed this jan. When submitting for it to be assessed by AITSL, what documents should I submit? - transcripts of my pgce and degree - certificates of both - ielts(above 8 ) is there anything else, I should supply with my application ? And when submitting letter from university regarding the supervised teaching practice, they should mention the number of days and the age group I taught for right ? Should they also include the dates and the school? thank you
  5. I do not have any work experience as a teacher, a fresh graduate come this jan. Do they prefer applicants wth work experience? If I’m to have the same points as someone with work experience ?
  6. How is the job market in Australia for early childhood teachers ?
  7. I post grad would be more than enough, if that’s on top of the teaching degree. What they want is you to have had 45 days of supervised teaching practice and 4 years of university education.
  8. How many points did you have ? All the best :)
  9. That’s great, I’m planning to do CCL through naati which would give me another 5 points. Hopefully 70 should be enough to get a state sponsorship from nsw?
  10. He should be fine, since it could be any age between 0-8. Have u guys applied?
  11. Sorry if my question sounded dumb to you, I asked coz getting everything sorted requires a lot of work and quite a bit of money as well. If chances are gng to be near impossible I might as well, apply a few years later.
  12. Hi guys, I’ll be completing my pgce this June, after which I’m planning to apply for pr in Australia. I would have 65 points by then. Considering no teachers have been called in the last few months, do I have any chance with 65 points? If not how about going for 190 for nsw, what is the criteria for getting an invite from them? Or is it better to work for a few years before I apply? thank you Quote Edit

  14. Yep, would be much better for you to a masters or another level 5/6/7 diploma after your pgce. It would be quite pointless for you to do pgce after your 3 year teacher training degree.
  15. Hi guys, to claim the 15 points for educational qualifications, one needs to have a qualification equivalent to a bachelors or masters degree. I hold a level 6 diploma from OTHM, which is equivalent to a UK bachelors degree. http://www.othm.org.uk/qualification.html So would I be able to claim the 15 points with this qualification ? thank you
  16. OTHM is regulated by ofqual and it states that the level 6 is equivalent to the final year of a UK bachelors degree, would that be sufficient evidence ? http://www.othm.org.uk/qualification.html So just to confirm again, AITSL, doesn’t require the teaching qualification to be the final qualification ? So doing a another diploma/masters to make up to the 4 years of university education is fine ? Thank you
  17. Hi

I understand that Aitsl wants 4 years of university level education, is it possible to apply with say a 3 year B.Ed, followed by a level 6 OTHM diploma ?

    Totally 4 years of education.

This may be alright as long as you can demonstrate that the Level 6 diploma is a university level qualification. It should have been taught and issued by a university level institution. It might be useful to get some kind of written confirmation of this from the university.

      Regards,

      Richard

  18. Hi, so are you sure, that OTHM level 6 diploma, wouldn’t be considered as part of 4 years Education?

  19. Does early childhood teachers need to be accessed by AITSL or ACECQA? Or both?
