  1. So many factors affecting the processing times at the moment and your circumstances, number of applicants etc. can all determine whether you receive a grant quickly. I think between 5 and 8 months is good going at the moment. I’ve just had my grant it took 7 months. If you used an approved agent who has told you it’s decision ready you might be lucky. The gov website is saying 8-11 months (it was 5-8 when we applied). Good luck ?
  2. Yay ? Grant received this morning!! Application lodged 27 August 2017 (220 days ago!) Further information requested 27 September- complete silence until this morning. So relieved, I start my new job on Wednesday. Good luck to all those waiting x
  3. I applied onshore for a 190. It’s painfully slow though, be prepared for a wait. Good luck.
  4. Hi I’m in Australia currently on a 457, awaiting PR 190 (submitted August 2017). I’ve potentially found a great permanent role with an organisation willing to take over the sponsorship of my 457. Has anyone recently transferred their 457 to a new employer that can give me an idea of timelines or a good migration agent who has done this? I want to manage the new employer expectations honestly. Thanks
  5. Thanks Raul - Thats good information. The issue of travel is a biggy for us as my daughter needs to fly back to fulfill visitation rights for her father...and I travel for work. We've no trips planned until June but can't guarantee the PR will be finalised by then. Its such a shame as the processing times were so much quicker when we submitted our application. I appreciate your help.
  6. Hi I ceased employment with my 457 Employer Sponsor almost 90 days ago, unfortunately I just found out that they didn't fulfill their obligation to inform the Dept.of Home Affairs (I did tell them). This has meant that I missed out on a job. Anyway, we're awaiting the outcome of a PR application submitted last August and I wondered if anyone had experience of applying for a BVE. My migration agent says I could request online to cancel my 457 but I'm not sure what the process is if I do and could we apply for a bridging visa? I'd rather not be unlawful for any amount of time and I haven't worked for a while now so I don't want my husband to lose his work rights - but I'd definitely like to get back to work! I don't know if we should risk cancelling the 457 or just wait for the PR to be granted? Any and all advice welcome.
  7. Unfortunately they’re just a refresh of the previous assessment categories. They don’t mean anything other than you’ve submitted any additional information the CO might have requested.
  8. Hi I’ve had a 190 application in since August 17, with CO contact and further information request (and provided) in September. Our status has just changed to ‘Further Assessment’ in progress!- is this just a refresh of the status categories? Thanks
  9. For the police checks - they get sent to you (so you can scan and upload as with other documents). I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your other question, maybe start a new topic/thread on the main board to see if anyone has had a similar experience? Good luck and congratulations on your wedding.
  10. 28 August 2017. We are onshore (457 visa) and applied ‘decision ready’ with all background checks, health, police etc.
  11. Hi If your application has now exceeded the processing timeline you can contact the DIBP directly to get an update. Good luck!
