  1. That’s true, it’s a difficult decision to make and a lot of commitment. But sadly currently they are inviting only 80+
  2. Tbh you currently need 80 points to be called for the regional visa.
  3. Yes, it’s pretty much the same, with a requirement of staying there for an additional year, which isn’t really a problem.
  4. You can apply for PR after you have stayed there for 3 years. Pretty much PR. Has all the same benefits.
  5. So you have 55 before the English points ? That’s really good. You could always go for the new 489 visa for south Australia.
  6. It definitely is, I got above 8 for everything except for writing so will have redo it. quite funny that Native English speakers tend to struggle in IELTS. all the best guys.
  7. @wrussell I’m not 100% sure on that, better to check with your agent again. But I still believe you will have to do your ielts to claim the 20 points. Changes in Nov means you will be able to claim 10 points for your partner if she has a skill and has competent English..
  8. To claim the 20 points do we need to sit the academic ielts or is general fine? I sat the academic ielts for my skills assessment and got 9,9,8.5, 7, with the 7 for writing. Is the general test easier to score a 8 in writing? I didn’t practice much and just went and sat the exam. Would prefer if I dnt have to sit ielts more than once again.
  9. From my understanding, you would need to sit the IELTS/PTE to claim the 20 points as well as partner points. Having a uk passport means you wouldn’t need to sit for the skills assessment.
  10. With state points? A few people had been invited with 70 by nsw, so I guess you have a good chance with 75. Have you put in an EOI already? And would you be gaining points from the change in nov? All the best
  11. Depends on the points, how many points have you got?
  12. Hi guys, I just got my pgce from university of Sunderland in early childhood education. Do I need to get my qualifications assessed before I start working in day care/pre-school? If so from whom? ACECQA? thank you,
  13. Okay, what are you applying under ? Hope things pick up in November.
  14. Is it 70 points including state points?
  15. I think it would be best you contact a migration agent. And worth emailing/calling Aitsl. all the best.
  16. Hi, did you masters in education invlove any supervised teaching practice as part of your course? I had some queries and emailed aitsl and they did reply to me, so it’s worth a shot.
  17. It might, might not happen but we could always discuss what could happen if it did so.
  18. That’s true. They are very desperate right now.
  19. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/18/britain-will-aim-for-freedom-of-movement-deal-with-australia so with the possibility of freedom between UK and AUS. What do you think could be some of the possible consequences. The two countries are similar at the same time very different in a lot of other ways. Would it result in a lot of British migrating to Australia or would it be the other way and cause a brain drain.
  20. Shouldn’t the STEM degree be from Aus? To get the 10 points?
  21. Were you able to successfully appeal?

Has anyone been invited by NSW With65 points recently. I’m an early childhood teacher, which is categorized as medium availability under nsw and doesn’t require work experience. Do you think there is a possibility to get an invite ?
