  1. a friend of mine works for transperth and they have been unofficially told not the except the train to reach Yanchep till 2028. though i think it will be a shame as by then Yanchep will possibly lose some of its charm when it is linked to all the other northern suburbs,
  2. i did mean to say 2014, as we are already in 2013:rolleyes:, the train line is late, but its well on its way as i pass it most days, but as with every thing in Perth it will be ready when its ready.
  3. Yanchep is a beautiful place and is not that remote, being only a 15 minute drive from as of yet the most northern train stop at Clarkson, which will be extending to butler in 2012,( 10 minuets drive to Yanchep) with plans for the train line to reach Yanchep in the future, the seems to be plenty of building work at the moment, my OH is a brick layer and has had plenty of work so far.

    Import permit

Hi, can I ask the people who applied for the import permit, if it was done on line via downloading application form, scanning and emailing it back, or via the e lodge system, as the e lodge seems to want a permanent address in Australia for the import of pets, is there any way around this as we are planning a holiday let for a couple of weeks before committing to a rent, also does anyone know if I apply for Perth quarantine on the permit and are the unable to send my two babies there as I know its very small and may have to opt for Sydney and arrange internal flights, can I change this on the permit if needs be, I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
  5. hi, ours was 7 weeks and 5 days from lodging to getting visa, we had to wait for our medicals, as the clinic could not book us in any earlier than they did, so maybe it could of been earlier, but i did check check and check again that i had every thing we needed befor we lodged and was not asked for anything but pcc and meds from our co
  6. ASAP, just need to sell our house and i think that may take longer than getting the visa, will be worth it in the end.
  7. Hi Craig, my oh is a bricklayer and as you can see from our time line it really did not take that long on a 176 visa, we did not use an agent and to be honest it was not that hard, just do your research, DIAC and state web sites have nearly all the info you need, and you can always find someone to help on PIO, and we saved heaps of money doing it our self, Good luck.
  8. well done, maybe we could start our own thread, visa granted 26th july 2011. lol
  9. Hi was wondering if anyone can help me, on my status every thing has been met, pcc has been sent and medicals are all finalised, and I have a CO, is it just a matter of waiting now to get visa or could it still be turned down? As I put my house on the market last week thinking it would take ages just to get viewers, but someone has already offered me pretty much the asking price , I a bit nervous to except if I will not get a visa, I really don’t know what to do. If its just waiting for visa to come through I will take offer but if there is a chance I could still be turned down I will have to say no, and hope I find a buyer at a later date…….aaahhh:arghh::arghh::arghh:
  10. We did, and to be honest, was a bit of a waist of petrol, but was a day out, oh bricklayer, so talked to tradies down under, the bloke on stand was very helpful though they don’t do anything for brickys, waited for hour to talk to an agent, who said oh was to old, 39, had not got the right qualification, what are C&G bricklaying advanced C&G brickwork, and HNC building studies, so we came out well upset, but decided to go it alone as DIYers and are now just waiting for our meds to come back, last thing on the list to do, DIAC seem happy with everyting we havedone so far, if you do a lot of research and spend time on finding every bit of info you can, you can save yourself a lot off money. Hope this helps
  11. well done, and no its defo is not to early, iam tempted to crack one open just becase its friday and we are another week closer to the golden ticket. lol
  12. :no:thats really sad, :swoon:as with anything, for some its great and for others its hell on earth, are you going to move back?
  13. 176 visa, oh is a bicklayer so going on his, and somewhere around perth, don't really want to be living or working in a city so maybe just north of perth, i worked in an inner london salon in my 20s, now in my 30s and want a bit more of a slower pace than that, so a nice mid size town would do us, i work selfemployed in a shop at moment, on not bad money so i think i may be taking a pay drop but i think it will be worth it for the life style how about you?
  14. I not sure if it is as regulated out there as it is here, I know WA was wanting hairdressers to do registration this was to include, a perm, ladies cbd, gents cbd, , and maybe a tint, but it looks like they may be abandoning this, I don’t think other states ask for this, I may be wrong, will find out when I get there,
  15. are you sure you need level 3? when we was first looking into it an agent told me mine was ok, just needed to get TRA, in the end though we have gone for oh trade and did not use an agent as hairdressers are not on many state migration plans and not for the one we wanted, so i have not bothered with TRA and hoping a straight forward shop floor tade test will get me a job when we get there
