  1. You would need to look at working visas which are costly not a visitor visa for one. Is he a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs? that would make the application easier but there are still some hoops to jumpy through. He would need to get assigned a Medicare provider number and that is where the problems are since he (if all boxes above were ticked) wonky have access to certain rural regions so if you are planning to be in just the cities, it is not going to be possible to work.
  2. You will not loose your visa if you inform immigration about your change of circumstances..she will. If you do not notify immigration however, and they find out (i.e. if your employer notifies them) then you will be in trouble...so please notify them about your change of status.
  3. Compassionate grounds is there for exceptional circumstances e.g. Your partner has just died and wS going to sponsor you for a spouse visa...not I couldn't get a job...the view would be that you were not good enough in your field to get a job...so why should you be allowed to immigrate? It seems like you have tried everything without success...not much else to do
  4. Yes it is a very good salary BUT realise that in Sydney it is very rare for your partner not to work if you have no children...both salaries are needed to live a good life and when you have children then you tend to downsize or move further out to be more affordable. If you are supporting both your wife and mother....then you cannot expect to live a good life..,you need to be on more like 200k which is CEO territory.
  5. ashbash...you rally have made a major mistake here. You should have applied for the child visa the moment you completed your degree in the UK...if you could have proven you were totally being supported by your parents...the moment you got the WHV you are no longer eligible for apply for that visa. There is no going back...you now have to qualify in your own right for a migration visa....if you study in Australia it's international fees all the way even if your parents have to support you, you can no longer be considered their dependent for immigration purposes. Why or why did you get the WHV?????
  6. WA School fees are now capped at 4k for a family from 2015...but this is only your visa fee..there will be other fees for each child what all students parents pay.....could be up to 1k per child. Private school fees of course will be more. the company is required to pay your airfare but that's all...moving costs generally if they give them will come out of your salary as a package (which means no tax) but the companies ability to do this depends on what type of company it is...not for profit companies have a bigger scope to play with than profit companies. So the only "extra" that they will pay for not included on your salary is the airfare.
  7. Not all countries Bachelor degrees are considered equal to an Australian. Notably ones from the sub continent...and other only certain university Bachelor degrees are considered equal...so that is what is being assessed right now. If your degree was from the UK or Canada you will be fine...it's just a box that needs to be ticked.
  8. I agree. You will be asked multiple questions on your spouse visa application including when you got engaged, and you will need statements from friends and family to corroborate,.if that date is before you validated your visa you could find your own visa removed as you lied when you arrived (were no longer a dependant of your mothers). Be very careful...a lie at this stage could come back to bite you and your mother hard in the future
  9. Yes she could be fined if you expose what she is asking but only after you have been deported. Not sure what you want to achieve? Her to be fined? Told off by the government? That won't happen...the only thing that will come out of this is your friend will be deported for being in a not true marriage .
  10. Only your fiancée can sponsor you and he needs to be an Australian citizen or PR living in Australia. His parents cannot sponsor you as you are not marrying them.
  11. It's also good to remember that when HECS was introduced it affected even those students who were 5 years into a 6 year degree...when they started HECS was not even an idea in a politicians head....so it's quite possible the fees increase will be applied to every degree....I was 2 years into a 3 year degree and had to pay 1 year of HECS...
  12. It is after two years in your sponsored 457 visa job....if you change jobs the two year count starts again....definitely not two years over a number of years....so your jobs on a WHV cannot count towards this visa unless they decided to sponsor you for a 457 when you were there.
  13. Look it is doable but you will constantly asked why and it will cost a fortune in petrol....and given the time out of your day, you will be too tired to do anything after work in the city....so why? It will take around one hour 45 minutes to drive to Perth each way...longer if you choose the southern suburbs.
  14. You need their birth certificate when enrolling...and if its not an Australian one, you need proof of residency which is the visa...no way to hide it.
  15. The main reason for an age effect is that with the average life expectancy as it is....you need to be working FT for around 30 years in Australia in order to "break even" with the amount of money you will be taking from the government in old age....so if you are older than that...I.e. Over 45 then you have to jump more hoops than if under 30. although your example of a doctor is not one that illustrates your point as they are mostly sponsored initially on 457 visas and have to go through many additional hoops to qualify.
  16. I agree - its very optimistic. A CCM needs to be able to financially run a centre, design and run the education events (which is why you need an education background), deal with the parents and staff....its not a job you jump into...its a job that you move into after 5-10 years working your way up through the ranks. Without a Bachelor (or similar) in Early Childhood education (not primary education...early childhood) I cannot see anyone offering to sponsor you.
  17. A level 6 position in a university is a low level position...well below the level which the university can sponsor an applicant for a 457 visa regardless of the area. Your lack of a degree is a considerable hurdle....as even with the experience four years of more of that is deducted for not having a degree....so you only have a max of one years countable experience......no where near enough to sponsor you. Whilst your direct boss might want to sponsor you, the university has to follow strict internal policy on sponsoring staff from oversea....academics must have at least a PhD and the job needs to be advertised internationally for them to be able to sponsor. If your role was not advertised internationally....then they do not have an internal case to sponsor you. At a other university, we have only been able to sponsor level 9 and above staff for 457 visas (non academic)... Anything below that was a straight out No.
  18. If your child is not likely to be able to go into regular school then yes your visa is not likely to be granted. The cost per year on the tax payer for special school alone is higher than your total allowed threshold of medical costs....unfortunately unless your child's prognosis changes then a visa is not likely
  19. Yes you can...it makes it more difficult but since YOU are already here (as PR or a citizen) the government has the onus to let the partner in even if the costs are going to be high ....and to prevent that back door being used (which it has been in the past) they make lying about marital status etc on the initial application something a visa can be terminated on. The poster is not divorced and can promise anything she likes here about not infringing her husbands medical costs on the Australian government....but once she has PR or is a citizen...she can change her mind and there are not much the government can do...which is why they stop this at the bud now.
  20. He is her legal husband and so has to be included as a non- migrating dependant doesnt he? It would be different if they were divorced but as they are married she can "sponsor" him at a latter time as her spouse even if she promises (which she has on another forum) that he has no intention of ever travelling to Australia.
  21. If you are applying with a partner, the company must be willing to sponsor them as well (and pay their airfares in the case listed above).
  22. A friend of mine applied for one on April last year......still waiting.
  23. Given only primary teachers who can teach a language on the list can be sponsored for a 190 - the competition is low. So a reasonable chance provided you have taught one of the below. ChineseIndonesian Japanese Korean French German Italian Greek Spanish Turkish Arabic Vietnamese.
  24. regarding phones.....only usual if you are required to be on call or contactable after hours or your job requires you to spend more time outside the office than in (and usually limited personal calls) regarding computers....only usual if you work across multiple offices regarding healthcare....never seen this same with school fees. regarding leave..20 days, additional unpaid leave if needed the big selling point is flexi time...the hours you work are negotiated so if you have children you can schedule work hours so you can drop them off and your partner can pick them up.
  25. Was he granted a PR visa with you? You cannot just add someone to that visa once you are here...it is a long process to add more dependants. Even with PR you have to pay upfront and that is around 20k a year for medicine.....for four years that's quite a lot of extra cash to come up with Darwin is probably the lowest ranked of all medical schools in Australia....it is a risk studying there as graduates from this school are not highly regarded except in the area of aboriginal health which is it's main focus.
