  1. Hi Looking at a 457 visa We have a 16 year old son just left school and wanting to do an IT course. just found a little information about a TAFE college.... Looks like they do hands on courses Any idea on costs for us?
  2. Any idea of the cost of attending a Tafe College on a 457 visa?
  3. No not looked but will do now... Will be asking My husbands boss on Thursday why we can't go straight for PR. xx
  4. Husband don't have a Degree in IT but has over 16 years experience that I believe is why they can't do it straight away?
  5. Hi yes all the changes in 2011 are what caused us to no longer have enough points to do the move. All things I need to know/ask my Husbands boss next week.
  6. Unfortunately we don't have enough points for a visa we tried this route back in 2010. It has been a dream for many years for us to live/work in Perth. Yes I understand we should of done it when the kids were smaller BUT we didn't!!My son is not academic at all and it going to enroll here on a BTEC IT course then yes look at Uni or for a apprenticeship within the computer sector. To be honest he is my real concern... If we came over say early next year and he was 17 in the October he would go into High school for 2 years is this correct? Then Uni?We could possibly leave him here in the UK with my parents to complete college but what would then cause issues later when we apply for a full visa? We own our own house here and hoped to rent it out and then rent in Perth for 2 years. If it didn't work out in Perth we could come back here to the UK still have jobs and a home. You all have me worried now!! But this is the things I need to know for next weeks meeting.....Thanks xxx
  7. 16 year old has JUST left school here in the UK (he is 16 at the moment but will be 17 in October) He will hopefully enrol in Perth at a college? Leaving him here is not an option. How much would this be? He just got his GCSE results. The company my husband already works for here in the UK. So we know the job it self will be fine as its exactly the same as here in the UK. I hope to keep my company here in the UK. But would still like a little job I work in childcare and be interested to see how the childcare system works in OZ!!
  8. Hi Everyone We have just been offered a sponsored Visa 457 from my Husbands company who are opening a new office in Perth. After 2 years they are willing to sponsor us for a full visa. Here are my questions: We have 2 children one aged 13 and one aged 17... I think there will be school/college fees? any idea how much? Medicare will cost? a month for us? Would the employer have to pay our moving fees/flights ect or is that down to individual employers? We have a meeting with my Hubby's boss next Thursday and I want to have a list of questions for him!!! Any other advise on this type of visa or questions I need to be asking? Thanks in advance xxx
