  1. I had 60 points (electrician 189) same day invite.. depends on the occupation
  2. I think PTE is far superior than IELTS... IELTS is outdated.. slow and not very user friendly./ took me 8 hours for IELTS and had to do the speaking at a different location.. Pearson I was in and out in 3 1/2 hours

    EOI

Laura you mentioned city and guilds but in order to be classed as a engineer and pass a skills assessment you need a degree which I presume you have.. I'm sure someone who has the knowledge to help you will be along shortly.. don't submit an EOI whatever you do
  4. i for sure won't be sitting another English test. I scored superior English and if it was good enough for a 189 visa it will be good enough for that too
  5. If your not claiming it for experience then no it's all good
  6. Pearson is much more user friendly.. IELTS is out dated
  7. for me i needed the peace of mind of an agent. the amount of times i just wanted to know something about the process or about a question asked on form 80 that was difficult to interpret i could get an answer. it does come at a cost but i saw it as an insurance. no brainer for me personally but if you think you can get through the paperwork alone then happy days generally people with medical conditions will refer to a MA
  8. I found Pearson a lot more user friendly compared to IELTS...
  9. 20 points for superior and 10 points for proficient
  10. there has been much thought for many years and was only a matter of time.. if i were you id start looking at other options if needed
  11. english has to be done before EOI or you are claiming points you dont yet have.. only medicals and police checks can be done after
  12. Contact a registered migration agent before it costs you a lot of money. Time and a rejected visa application
  13. NZ will be able to see if you have overstayed on previous visas. and it also asks you on the visa application if you have overstayed on previous visas so unless you lie id expect a rejection from NZ. a quick check on VEVO would have saved all this heartache
  14. also a sparky i used the down under centre and was really impressed with the service. i could call and get updates on my application whereas i think vetasses is just too big to do that. well worth the money. just be aware its not a quick process
  15. they are the conditions of all people holding that visa
  16. 457's should have been at the top of that list
  17. not sure where your getting 5 points for IELTS from ? i suggest your husband tries to re-sit IELTS over you having to submit a skills assessment. most cost/time effective way if you ask me
  18. hi shaun do you have the NVQ 3 and AM2. they will be asked for when it comes to the skills assessment.
  19. As AJ mentions.. I done my medical first in the 10 oct. 189 granted in the following June so had just over 3 months to make first entry
  20. awful. i hope he gets a nice big cell mate who will do the same to him

    TRA

Lasts for 3 years so unfortunately will have to be re-done
  22. 489 is a mandatory requirement to live in the sponsored state for the required time, 190 is only a moral obligation
