  4. Yeah along with your otsr. upon completion you can apply for an UNrestricted south australian license ...
  5. Go to adelaide peer veet. Sit a weeks capstone then apply for a south australian electrical license and transfer interstate. no need to do a years supervised work
  6. Captain you should be charging for your services here haha
  7. Get you and you partner a working holiday mate. Ideal that you have family you can crash at for a while until you settle and find work.. this will give you an initial year to explore with the potential of staying an extra year and working
  8. Gili islands are nice. Couple hours travel from bali.. good diving
  9. Im not sure if many electricians out there know this but its something that could help alot of guys out. if you hold a australian recognised trade certificate or OSTR and sit the 1 week capstone exam in south australia you can apply for a south Australia A grade license on completion of this exam. Many other states require 1 year gap training then sit the capstone.. then changing your license to suit whatever state your in although some states dont transfer other states licenses.. please advise me if SA have now changed their rules
  10. I was only asked to show 2 years with future skills.. whos the RTO 2 years post training experience minimum that is.
  11. Hi guys We all know that 190 visa comes with a moral obligation to stay in that state or territory for a minimum time. My question is... if you moved state before the agreed time could this effect a citizenship application in the future.. its something that could mean the difference of me sitting a pearson test and gaining extra points now and doing a 189 rather than the extra 5 points we would have from the 190.. also not worrying about breaching that "moral" agreement for peace of mind when it came to applying for citizenship
  12. Lived and worked in darwin for 18 months.. we are also going back on a 190 visa.. it really isnt for everyone but we loved it. Bare in mind its a tropical climate so do some research on that. No swimming in the sea also as you might bump into a croc or a box jellyfish. The dry season is beautiful. You wont see a drop of rain for months and there is a cool wavepool for the kids. If youd like any more info just ask
  13. Much appreciated guys ... very coincidental that i have just walked through the door to find an enhanced certificate in the post from my employer shame that cant be accepted.. thanks for the info guys
  14. Hi. We are currently gathering information on the police check for our GSM visa an enhanced police check or individual basic police check are the options. Basic seems to be suitable but I thought id take the time to ask you guys. Many thanks . Bobbie
  15. Hi guys I'm in Australia at the moment on a working holiday. Been here almost a year and have just got my 2nd year granted. I have decided to just go for it whilst I'm out here earning good money to just pay for the process whilst I can afford to. I will be going down the skilled migration route as I'm an electrician. I already have my A grade license but I'm aware that this does not go towards migration and il have to go through TRA again. Shall I go through vetasses or are there anyone else I can go through. If an application is successful and I pass all the points tests etc how long would I be looking at from start to finish. Would a year be a good timeframe ? Any advice would be appreciated . Thanks
