  1. We will be going on the ETA Business visa, so nothing illegal there. We will have enough funds for us for 3 months out there and yes we will be booking a return ticket. Our children are 1 and 2 so they are pretty easy and are not missing out on schooling. He would take a sabbatical at work, so whilst we are out there we are still classed as employed so we would be earning the months needed to add to our qualification. He is qualified with 3 years but only 1 year post qualification, so companies can either see him as young and fresh or inexperienced. We would leave everything in the UK with no intention to return so we wouldn't have any extra costs left in the UK. I am aware it a risky plan, we are now looking into contracting as they have more sponsorship options, I weren't sure if vetassess would assess us if we got our Skills Assesment in OZ as Vetassess only requires 2 years post qualification and TRA need 3 years hence why we have to wait another 2 years.
  2. Currently my partner has to wait 2 years until he can apply for a skills assessment TRA assesment (hoping that he is still on the SOL) we can go to Oz on permanent residency. My other option is go on a ETA (we have children so cant do working holiday) and hope for a 457 sponsor he is a Technical Cable Jointer 342212. If we go ahead with this option can get his skills assessed whilst were out there or will we still hit the 3 year post qualification barrier? and is it a good idea to go out hoping for a sponsor or is it unrealistic?
  3. Yes as my post says the Anzsco says I only need 2 yeare and we already have 1
  4. As my last post said we have the potential to go out on a 190. I wouldn't be doing anything illegal and as for the risks involved yes it worth it. You won't get anywhere without a gamble my children are 1 and 2 they are too young for school but i wouldn't be commiting to anything without my own financial security if anything went wrong.
  5. Yes its enough it can transfer over. I need to take a context gap course once I'm over there. Didn't do it before I started as an apprentice in 2013
  6. Verassess dont asses me TRA do. I am a Technical Cable Jointer not an Electriction or Telecommunication cable jointer.
  7. Hi again my partner is a Technical Cable Jointer 342212 he has been employed full time with Northern Powergrid since 08/2013 he has spoke to his NVQ 2 and his course was complete 08/2015. So this means he has 2 years training whilst doing his NVQ and 1 years post qualification. The ANZSCO says: Skill Level 3 : Occupations at Skill Level 3 have a level of skill commensurate with one of the following: - NZ Register Level 4 qualification - AQF Certificate IV or - AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.I need to assessed under the Skilled Migration as I'm not on the criteria for the Offshore skills assessment. The Skilled Migration says you need 3 years experience to apply for your skills to be assessed, but ANZSCO says I need 2. Do I stand a good chance if I put my assesment in after 2yrs?
  8. SA wont asses me on a Migration Skills Assesment until I have 3 years post Qualification My ANZSCO says I only need 2... Skill Level 3 : Occupations at Skill Level 3 have a level of skill commensurate with one of the following: - NZ Register Level 4 qualification - AQF Certificate IV or - AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification. Do i Apply and risk loosing £1000?
  9. My ANZSCO states that I am a level 3 and this is what it says: Skill Level 3 : Occupations at Skill Level 3 have a level of skill commensurate with one of the following: - NZ Register Level 4 qualification - AQF Certificate IV or - AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification. From this I read that aslong as we have cert 111 and 2 years on the job training we should be able to apply for a Skills Assessment? (they may ask for more work experience if not enough evidence is provided) If this is the case, TRA shouls assess me?
  10. it is on both lists Blossom. Thank you I didnt know that they couldnt be in the country
  11. Technical Cable Jointer Power and Engineering (not the telecommunications everyone keeps on thinking). Is his nominated in South Austrilia and NSW, but he has just finished his apprenticeship in the UK so nowhere near the 3years for Skills Assesment. We have enough points without Skills Assesment (for visa points) but we need the SA so he can get a license over there. Its so annoying when the SA is the only thing stopping us! there must be a way to get assessed another way
  12. but if we went on the visa eta he would meet employers and have a better chance of getting a 457
  13. Ok, ill have to have another look at my options tonight. If the SKills Assessment didnt need 3 years post qualification this would be a simple process
