  1. you have 1 year to enter the country from when either your medical or police checks were done, whichever was first
  2. if your going to have a go at someone for incorrect spelling you should ensure your own spelling is correct !
  3. just bear in mind that even after gaining the skill in most cases you need minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in that field to gain a positive skills assessment
  4. but showing disregard of the law wont be looked upon well id imagine
  5. if you broke immigration rules they wont even look at you for atleast the 3 year period and then you have to declare it later if you want to return with no guarantees plus you could get refused entry to other countries like the USA etc they put you on that visa so you could legally leave Australia. how long did you overstay ?
  6. 189 is still at the top of the chain.i suggest he gets his skills assessment completed, you say he worked the majority in his own business was that not in engineering ?. check what the minimum experience is required post degree for a positive outcome,
  7. sainsburys, oh how id love to walk around sainsburys i miss their baguettes. mozzarella ball for like 60p missing premier league football is a hard one for me AFL just wont do it family friends like a good costa british fish and chips history- i seemed to be more intrigued about our countries history after i left television- we dont have foxtel yet but im hoping it matches sky because normal tv isnt great but on the upside 32 degrees in perth today so we are off to the beach.
  8. surely the agent would recieve an email grant confirmation ?
  9. the cultural difference is from migration, an australian and a brit are very similar in the scheme of things, can you explain your theory about having more in common with poles or was it just a figure of speech ?
  10. id just say talk to a mara registered agent and go from there, peace of mind is priceless for this process and there are some good agents on this site
  11. last year i contacted the NT government in regards to a 190 visa. i had already spent over one year in darwin working and had friends there etc. they told me they would not issue me with a 190 visa unless i had spent 2 years there or was currently residing there. not sure how true this is as i know they give out alot of false info. bear in mind as srh has said they will probably offer you 489 as it ties you to the state
  12. greed. clearly been doing it for years, shouldnt be allowed to work as a professional manager again and probably wont get another job offer anytime soon
  13. i spoke to the guy this morning and he said they recieve the cards from the EWRB and they are then sent to the applicants address. I agree that some states might see the newly issued license but worst case scenario you just wait it out.. I guess it will suit some and not others
  14. GB construction training is the name of the company and I haven't used them or advertising them by any means .could hopefully be another door for electricians to work as a sparky straight off the boat albeit a few weeks waiting for a change in license ? If anyone has experienced them please shout out id like to hear
  15. Having recently worked in New Zealand whilst I was going for my 189 visa a friend of mine said he got his New Zealand electrical license whilst in the UK. My ears soon pricked up and asked more as I know Australia and New Zealand mutually recognise electrical licenses. At a cost of £l500 and 8 days training he gained a full NZ electrical license. For those still in the UK and moving over to Australia id seriously consider obtaining an NZ license in the UK and then heading over to Australia and totally missing out the dreaded gap training and not having to work as a TA, it could be an option for a lot of us. Shame I was already over here to find out but maybe this could help someone out who hasn't came over yet.
  16. Usually same day when it changes to reportable. Has it said reportable for days ?
  17. Anywhere between $25-$30 dollars an hour plus over time usually depending on the project and the electrical contractor, I'd also advise your OH investing $1000 and getting his EWP license, confined spaces and working at heights training, these are something that employers like to see on the CV and can make all the difference.
  18. Enabling is just a breakdown. Aslong as the main 4 are above 79 then you are all good
  19. Yeah NVQ 3 and AM2 required and post qualification experience usually 3 years
  20. Terrible news.. So much respect for what this guy did
  21. Unless you have a seriously good explanation it can't be good can it.. Why did she overstay ?
  22. If your not claiming points you don't have to prove experience. I.e payslips ,tax returns etc. if things like this are available it only makes your application stronger when it goes to the CO. As an immigration officer I'm sure they will be able to see where you have been and on what visa on the screen.. Again if your not claiming points for experience is not a biggie but you will still need to include all employment info just not necessarily evidence
