Hi Friends First of all thanks to the forum for all the help it provided when I migrated to Australia in 2013. I came here on class 189 Visa. 3 years passed and I have no idea what all changed during this period. Now my brother-in-law is planning to migrate to Australia. I need some direction on which visa to apply for him. Here are his details in a nutshell. Age:- 27 years Qualification:- Graduate in mechanical engineering.Passed out in 2011. He has some experience in Mechanical Engineering but majority wise he did his family business. My question is apart from skilled independent visa is there any other visa he can apply to get a PR here? Also me and his sister being already permanent residents of Australia will in any form benefit him to get a visa? Looking forward to advices. Cheers Rose

First of all thanks to all my friends in "Migration issues" section for guiding me get a PR. Without their help it would not have been possible for me to come and put my first post in this section. After much hardwork over last 6 months I got the PR last week. Now the next step is to quit my current job in India and come to Melbourne. I would like to know the cheapest accommodation facilities available in Melbourne. Is their any single room concept in Australia with attached bathroom. Please help

But has anybody downloaded from VISA page. I can see 3 letters for me, my wife and kid. Are they all the same. Can we assume like that?

But is the confirmation letter same as Grant letter?

Friends 189 Visa granted today. But Im not able to download the grant letter from eVISA page. When I click the "View grant letter" a new window opens but nothing comes in it. Anyone had a similar issue?

Woooohooooooooo :cool: VISA granted today morning. It was so quick mates. CO was allocated on 6th June and asked for form 80. I sumbitted it today morning and believe me within 30 minutes CO granted the VISA.. Wowwww.. Here is the summary of the 6 months journey. Sent for ACS Skill Assessment: - 15 December 2012 IELTS First appearance (L 8.5, R 8.5, W 6.5, S 8): - 14 February 2013 Got the Skill Assessment result: - 14 February 2013 IELTS Second Appearance (L 7.5, R 8.5, W 7, and S 8): - 23 March 2013 EOI Submitted: - 9 April 2013 Got the Invitation: - 22 April 2013 VISA application lodged: - 30 April 2013 CO assigned: - 06 June 2013 VISA granted: - 11 June 2013

I got my case officer assigned today :yes: and she has asked me to provide additional documents such as form 80, passport photograph and Form 1281.Form 80 is hugeee:confused: I got a mail with all the details and when i checked the visa page some documents are added to the list as requested...
