  1. I thought it went ok . The listening was probably the hardest although the writing for me was always going to be a challenge. I managed to finish it just about . I had a chat with a few guys in there , not sure if it was your hubby . Very strict though , which was good to stop any cheating . Speaking was just like having a chat so I think I've done ok in that . Overall I'm hoping I've achieved the 8 . I did speak to a guy who's on his third attempt . I hope he gets the 8 he needs . I'm counting down the 13 days till I either have to book it again or start celebrating... Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No , I own a painting and decorating business . I have confirmation etc of the test Sheffield university next Saturday . Your hubby will know having been on the tools for 20 years , picking up a pen again is not as easy as it sounds . I'll probably recognise him by the steam coming out of his ears . I'll be the same . Good luck !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I too am sitting the IELTS on the 29th . I also need 20 points on the 189 visa . My first 2 or 3 practice tests were miserable , but after some tuition and practicing almost every night I feel a lot more positive. The key , I think is to practice the questions and the way they try and throw a few tricky ones in . Good luck
  4. Hi Donna thanks for that , do the mozzies stop you going to the beach or sitting out in your garden and are they all year round ? I see you have an 18 year old , my eldest is 19 , is your son able to have a good social life as I don't want my eldest to be bored or feel lost . When will the town centre be finished and what will it have there ? Many thanks for taking time to reply
  5. Hi , thanks for that was looking at kellyville and west pennant hills and marsden park in north Sydney but agree you don't get as much for your money in Sydney . No we don't have job offers yet we will just be arriving on a 189 PR visa and job hunting on arrival . Wasn't looking for nightlife more nice restaurants, cafes that you can walk to and sports for the kids to do also ease of transport for my 19 year old to get about .

Okay this might be a stupid question but we are starting the process to emigrate again this year now I just wondered if we passed the TRA back in 2007 would it still be valid to use on our new 189 visa application for permanent residency ? Thanks
