Thanks @roomummy I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! its heartbreaking having to make such massive decisions but what a day it will be when you get the golden email and you have the start of a new life ahead.  We are a week apart so hopefully it wont be long and its maybe better hearing nothing and going straight to grant...

Hopefully not long for for you too @SmileyD 🙂

I was thinking that the new visa stipulation for sponsors might be holding things up a bit as it takes affect in July (not that I'm an expert) there is bound to be additional training requirements for staff or maybe or there will be a big push in the next few weeks to get all the older applications through ready for the change?

Either way I'm second guessing everything but very hopefully it wont be long now, think a little gin is required tonight for my nervous 🙂😉

Trying to go by trends this should be the sort of time I should be hearing about any RFIs.

I had my medical last week, have received my police check and need to complete my wifes (the aussie) and upload it when received.

I am putting the slight delay down to being the end of the financial year.

Has anyone else that lodged their application in February heard anything?

We lodged on 31st Jan and had everything including medicals, police, and supporting docs for applicant and sponsor uploaded by end March. Not heard a dicky bird yet. We have since added a statement to include details of our house purchase in oz which completed end May. Status remains as 'received'.

Hi all,

I have been checking this thread daily (much like many of you) for the past few months. I have never quite figured how to reply to a post directly and so have just sat tight until now (still unaware how to respond but hoping this makes it way to the forum thread!).

Mhcornwall we submitted in February, after you, on the 25th Feb. Police checks were all done by the end of April and I had my medical on the 26th May, cleared and added a few days later to the immi site. Still haven’t heard from immigration.

My partner and I have been together for eight years, married for four this October. He’s Aussie, we met in Aus in 2011 - lived there together then moved to the UK in 2013, and now ready to go back. He’s got a job due to start in October and we have dog travel to arrange so similarly to you all just crossing my fingers that things pick up soon.

One thing might be worth noting, (bizarrely and serendipitously) in Jan I met a guy in a coffee shop who had just finalised evidence for his girlfriend’s visa. The four of us met up and keep in touch. They received a request for further info on 22nd May and were told by immi that if they got the info over within a couple of weeks they should get the grant, but if it took more than ‘x’ number of days then their visa wouldn’t get processed until July. So it looks like they might well process them in batches. I guess that’s what I’m holding on to at the minute 🤞🏼

...and we have dog travel to arrange ...

Hi Nicola, have you sorted your dog transport yet? I'm moving 2 dogs, and cat and 5 horses! (Don't ask:rolls eyes) A word of warning, the booking process for quarintine needs to be done before flights and after rabies vacs. Timing this is critical to your own flights. Message me privately if you need any info. Our pets are all booked in now so just hubbies visa to go and we are away! [emoji38]

How on Earth did you reply to that section?! I consider myself fairly tech savvy but literally cannot figure a forum out 😂 Also dm... I can’t see how to on my phone but will check the desktop version when I’m next on my computer.

Number of animals you’re taking... that’s crazy! I have to ask though... how so many? And isn’t it crazy expensive for you?

You’re message is actually a blessing... I’m aware of the defra rules and time lines... We got rabies in March, bloods cleared in April and she is ‘fit to fly’ from the 16th Oct following permits and worming bits etc (husband’s job starts the following week so we are really specific about when we need to leave, no sooner or later really). But, I haven’t yet picked travel company because it’s all so crazy expensive. £2500 to arrange travel for her, and then quarantine and all our vet fees on top - total of over £4000 using a company. I guess I’ve been non committal wondering if I could manage all the bits myself. The main thing I want a company for is in case something goes wrong with her flight and she gets lost somewhere (silly though I know) and we wouldn’t know where to start. Also I understand Aus is the most strict so one wrong touch down could keep her in quarantine longer. I’m pretty sure the specific dates and requirements pre leaving is something I could handle, but it’s the fear of what if something happened. I guess doing it alone would save us £1500-2000 - what do you think is best? Have you used a company or arranged independently?

So sorry for 21 questions

It has got waaaaay to quiet on here. I didn't mind not getting my own grant as long as I could see other people getting granted but just seems to be nothing much of late.

Question. My partner is in the UK and I am here in Oz. We are thinking about getting a Visitor Visa 600 for a 3 month visit. Has anyone had any trouble getting this visa considering your waiting on a perm visa and they have to be confident your not going to stay longer than allowed?

I've seen agents recommend this as an option. You may get cross-questioned a bit more, but you should be OK.

Hi Nicola, click on the 'quote' link under the post that you want to respond to. If you are using a PC you can simply edit the quote or type your message straight under it. On your phone you need to click 'quote' then 'edit' to edit the quote your responding too. You can then change the quote but careful not to delete the coding out or it won't work. Type your message under the quote and presto! Re: pets I will message you privately so not to clog up this feed but yes it's appt of animals as we have a pony stud and I won't go home without them. I highly recommend using Golden Arrow Shippers :)

sounds like the end of the fiscal year does play a part. probably will be resetting the KPIs of staff if the UK civil service is anything to go by. fingers crossed for you all that we start to see a flurry of approvals and RFIs from tomorrow

End of the financial year in oz is also the end of the year as regards visa quotas, and usually the time when most large scale changes and fee increases come about, with computer system changes as a result (which are happening this weekend)

As a result grants are usually lower in most categories towards the end of June. KPI equivalents might come into it a little but that happens more behind the scenes, and there is an awful lot more that generally happens on July 1st. This year its not beyond the realms of possibiity that the new sponsor requirements for Partner Visa could be brought in.

Hi everyone, thought we'd add our timeline to the convo as we're anxiously awaiting our approval. We applied for our 309/100 visa on 30/12/2018. All police checks and medicals uploaded by 11/05/2019. RFI'd on 23/05/2019 for my (sponsor) Aussie birth certificate and proof that one of my parents were an Australian Citizen at the time of my birth (which they were). Sent those two documents off the following day, and now we're waiting for the grant! Like some others on here, according to our calculations on trends, we were thinking that we're due for a grant about 1 month and a few days after our RFI.

We've been together for 5 years, not married but own a property together. We're flying our English Bulldog over as well, so really want to get the ball rolling and get over there already!

We're moving to Perth which is where I'm from. We applied from London and didn't use an agent.

If anyone has any advice or words of support when it comes to their dog flying over, we'd love to here them! Think that's gotta be the scariest part, our little pooch flying on his own and then 10 days in Melbourne!

Lodge: 30/12/2018

Medical and Police Checks uploaded: 11/05/2019

RFI: 23/05/2019

Hoping to get going October/November

Hi kfr, I'm flying my pets over, see above posts. 2 dogs 1 cat and my small horse stud 5x ponies. I have used Golden Arrow Shippers on a silver service. Did the rabies vacs with vet myself and now Golden Arrow are handling flights and quarantine. My pets are flying in September. I suggest you book quarintine asap as they have limited spaces so if you have a prefered date you need to book in advance and before booking flights as these need to tie in together. I'm not worried about the pet transport, they get 5* treatment and you will be paying for a specialist service. I've worked for a horse transporter for years so know how great the staff are. Your bully will be adorded by everyone. Think of it as a holiday for him. [emoji16]. Pm me if you want any more info. Raylene

Keeping fingers crossed that the start of the new financial year brings some grants. 🤞 We’ve now been waiting for 8 months without any movement. It’s very frustrating as feel I can’t make plans. How’s everyone coping? X

We feel the same, my poor hubby going spare now as I will have to go without him in September as the children start new schools and I am moving my business so we can't keep waiting. He can't afford to give up his job and be unemployed in Oz so it's a difficult time. I think we just keep taking it one day at a time, in pure hope that at any moment it could be our turn [emoji847][emoji120]

I have been thinking of you @Emz82 it's been a long wait. I'm hopping you get news soon. There is no structure to the grants but by law of averages you are bound to here soon. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

@roomummy hang in there, you were the voice of reason to me. I'm hoping you go straight to grant.

Can't wait for the day we are posting good news. Hang tight we are getting closer 😀

It's definitely a long and testing wait. I lodged 29/10/18 had 2 RFIs but all submitted now. Hoping to hear soon as I'm due to move over in September!

Hope we all here soon!

Sending you all positive vibes. Hang in there it will happen! 😁

Well deserved to have some bubbles to ease the pressure. I think now we know it should be happening soon every day feels like a week. The last 5 months for us have blown by. But the last couple of weeks have been painful.

Like a few others here, I would be fine not seeing anything on my application if I could see some movement with others being granted or RFI'd
