HappyHeart
Oh yes...this may be common knowledge but a patient last week, Singaporean lady recently returned from holiday told me the haze is due to Indonesians burning off land to plant palms for palm oil...says the peat continues burning underground? Big issue.

Guest51810
@HappyHeart yeah I've known about it for a few weeks now. It was bad at one point and I asked about changing my travel plans but it was just too much hassle
HappyHeart
I had no idea of the cause till last week..how disgusting another black mark against Indonesia
ramot
Google Orang u tans victims of sustainable Palm Oil, it's heart breaking. we were living in Borneo during a very bad haze, the fires were on Sumatra in the late 1970's never forgotten it, and this time the fires are burning on Borneo and it's devastating for locals and the wild life. Guest51810
So I'm just back from my aunts house after saying goodbye to everyone except my mum and gran. I was absolutely fine until I walked out and noticed my mum was crying. Then my gran started saying something about my Grampa then she started crying too. Said about how he didn't get to see me leaving or hear about my plans so then I started crying too. I think my eyes are going to be red by the time I get to Falkirk haha
Guest51810
But we met some people that I know and even my gran was saying to them I should try and stay the full 2 years

Guest51810
I haven't weighed it because I forgot to buy scales. I don't think it'll be anymore than 20. I'm going to guestimate that it's 17 or 18kg. Waiting on jillybean to give me a row lol
Quoll
Don't you have bathroom scales? Stand on then stand on with case. If you can lift it it's likely to be less than 20kg. Have a great trip!
benthomas010
Whats your limit? Most long hauls are 30kg now.
Guest51810
Nope no scales! And nobody else has any apparently! I can still lift it up to a half decent height with one arm so im hoping that's a sign that it isn't over 20. I'm allowed 30 with Qatar but only 20 on my Singapore flight

According to their website all Singapore flights offer 30kg weight limits?
Guest51810
Mines is a cheapo scoot one. Sta travel told me the other day I have 20kg
Guest51810
Although sta travel talk rubbish, I'll go double check but I'm sure when I was originally going to book it myself the standard was
bell123321
If your over just ditch some clothes you can always buy new clothes. At least you have the higher allowance on the first flight so your know where you stand for the second flight. Not long now
Gbye grey sky
Or wear them on the plane lol. I've seen people piling on extra layers at check in to avoid paying excess baggage allowance.
