Congrats! Was it processed in Dubai? Were you contacted for further info?

Hi my separate statement was a “whistle stop tour” of our relationship - so was a chronological order of events. For the form I kept it quite simple how those 4 aspects had been met by referencing the details in the statement with sentences such as “as per my statement, we support each other financially through........”

@Waitingaround 1) yes pretty much. Although I for one wouldn’t have been too distraught if the Pmv 300 had been granted before my 600 lol- I would have cancelled the 600 application and taken the hit on the £80 lol. im constantly hovered over immi website and my emails so would have been able to immediately take appropriate action if the 300 had been granted first. 2) I’m not 100% sure if you would get “warning” if you were still offshore but in cases like mine where I’m currently onshore, I know that the applicant is contacted to request that they leave Australia for at least 5 days so that the grant can be issued. The 300 and the 309 are offshore applications and as such, you need to be offshore to allow them to grant it. When you cross back over the border, returning into Australia, your new visa is activated. when I applied for my 600, I attached a letter from my partner confirming that I would be staying with him and included 3 of his payslips (even though applying through tourist stream). We included a rough outline of our intentions over the coming months. Within 48 hours there was my 600

I applied for the 600 while waiting on my 300 (still waiting on the 300). The 600 was granted within 48 hours of applying. You need to make sure that if your 390 is approved before your 600, that you withdraw your 600 application immediately as if it is granted after the 309, it supersedes it.

Onshore when offshore visa ready to be granted ADVICE needed
CEP replied to dondons1uk's topic in Family / Partner Visas
Ahhhh it’s driving me to dispair at the moment!!! I think coupled with missing out on the festivities back home, it’s becoming all consuming.... my poor long suffering partner is getting all my moods taken out on him too as I’m out on a limb here- no social circle to speak of as yet... hence the desperation to get back into work- I can feel my brain going to mush!! -

Haaa you’ll be fine- (I’ll be the same as you when they finally get around to mine though!!) its a well trodden path. Your current tourist visa is valid until you re enter oz in which case your new shiny sparkly visa kicks in once you cross the border. Have you got the VEVO app? -

@GemTrae your time line is pretty much the same as mine. Hoping for a Christmas present! @TanC7 I just clicked the button to say I’d supplied the requested information. Unfortunately the templates used on the letter don’t seem to be up to date and make reference to contacting the case officer directly but with no means of doing so. Also the links at the bottom of the letter weren’t working for the “contact us”part of the website. Tried navigating the website but again was full of broken links- 3,663 replies

Just forfeit the fare. To be honest, I will more than likely be using mine anyway. My partner has done the same with several airlines and just forfeited the fare. it depends on the booking conditions / airline etc.- 3,663 replies

@GEMS1984 hiya - I booked a return ticket as it actually worked out a lot cheaper! I think it’s safer to do so but that’s purely my opinion.- 3,663 replies
