    190 Victoria Timelines

Hi all, I submitted my EOI and ROI for the 190 to Victoria on Friday. My occupation is "Secondary School Teacher" and I just wanted to get an idea on other's timelines for the process as well as sharing some of my own timeline too! Skills Assessment: Applied 21/03/23. Approved 20/04/23. PTE: sat and gained results 27/04/23. EOI (189 and 190) and ROI (Victoria) Submitted: Friday 28th April. Good luck everyone!
  2. This timeline and info thread is for those who have lodged their applications post 1st July,2012, under the new skillselect scheme. The Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) is for skilled workers from outside Australia or skilled temporary residents who currently live and work in Australia. It is part of the permanent Employer Sponsored visa program. To apply for this visa, you must: be nominated by an approved employer be younger than 50 years of age meet the skills and qualifications requirements meet English language requirements. If you are nominated to apply for this visa, you must lodge your application online within six months of the date the nomination was approved. When you apply, you must select one of the visa’s three streams. Choose the Temporary Residence Transition stream if you are a subclass 457 visa holder who has worked for your employer for two years in the nominated occupation and your employer wants to offer you a permanent position in that occupation. Choose the Direct Entry stream if you have never, or only briefly, worked in the Australian labour market and have not held a subclass 457 visa for the last two years, or if you are applying directly from outside Australia. Choose the Agreement stream if you are being sponsored by an employer through a tailored and negotiated labour agreement or regional migration agreement.
  3. Has anyone recently submitted and/or received a VETASSESS skills assessment? I understand that their stated processing time of 12 weeks is only an estimate, but I'm curious to know what the timeline has been like for you? I submitted mine last week of June 2022. The wait is killing me, as I'm having to put a lot of things in hold waiting for the outcome—any idea would be helpful to manage my expectations. Thank you!

Hi everyone, So after 5 years in Australia on numerous different temp visa's, I have a permanent application lodged, now the waiting begins.... My current visa is nearly off so I will wait offshore, I really hope it won't be long! Could anyone share any times lines for RSMS or visa's lodged at Paramatta please? My time line is below x
  5. Hi - I live on the Sunny Coast. Had test on 10th June (100%) and immi account changed to approved on 7th August. Happy days!!! Questions 1. How long until you receive a note in the post re the approval and next steps? I know that comms do not come via immi account once approved which seems strange? 2. How long before we hear about ceremony dates? Any one have any similar experience? Thanks Andy
  6. Hi, Can anybody shed any light on whether Australia has put a temporary ban on new immigrants from UK due to covid? Ate borders closed indefinitely? I don't know where to find out whether me and my family can continue our plans to emigrate to Australia from the UK at the start of 2022. We already have our 189 visa granted in 2019, but due to covid last year we postponed our emigration. We want to get back on track but not sure if there are still restrictions and the immigration website doesn't really provide any clarity. Be grateful for any advice please. Scoote Ps. I had a new baby this year too, so I believe I need to apply for a 101 visa for my new baby to emigrate with us. Is that correct? I need advice so I can work out a timeline for our m8vd. Cheers
  7. https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2019L01496 A Legislative Instrument has been published today which reduces the number of available parent visas compared with the 2018/19 program year. In summary, there is a ceiling of 6,096 visas on the number of Contributory Parent visas for the year to 30 June 2020. For the previous year the ceiling was 7,175. For non CP visas the 2019/20 ceiling is 1,275 (1,500 for 2018/19). The ceiling on the granting of CP Visas includes 125 visas that are available to subclass 410 and 405 visa holders who are seeking permanent residency under the pathway that opened 12 months ago. Best regards.
  8. At very early stages of getting all qualifications together for skills assessment with AITSL for teacher and partner electrician people who have been in a similar position how long was the process in total from skills assessment to the final piece of the jigsaw? Also costs would be handy many thanks
  9. Hello, I am hoping to receive in-principle registration from AHPRA shortly, and am wondering: 1. How long after presenting in-office did it take for you to receive final registration? 2. Were you awarded a registration certificate? How long did it take for this certificate to arrive? Was it mailed to you? Kind regards, Daniel Cachaco
  10. Hello, I was hoping to get some insight into some recent processing times/timelines for AHPRA overseas registration. My timeline at the moment is as follows: AHPRA application posted to Melbourne: 5th August 2019 AHPRA received in office: 19th August 2019 Request for additional information: 30th August 2019 Additional information sent to Melbourne office: 4th Sept 2019 Additional information received: 12th Sept 2019 Confirmation that application was complete and would now be sent to accreditation board: 23rd Sept 2019 All I have been told is that it will take "Some weeks" for the evaluation outcome to be delivered back to me. So I was just wondering if there is anyone on this forum who can give an insight into how long it took for their outcome to be decided? Kind regards, Daniel

    457 to PR timeline

Hi there, i have been working for a company for almost two years so eligible for them to nominate me in August for PR. I was wondering if anyone knows if i can apply on 1st of August or if i have to wait until the 24th as this is exactly 2 years from when i started. Does it go by exact dates or months? Thanks so much!
  12. Hey, it's been a year to the day that I submitted my application and I received this email: We are writing to inform you that your application for a Partner visa is in progress. Your application takes time to process as we complete a number of thorough checks. Is this purely an automated message or is it something I should be excited about?? Anyone received this and then got their 820 not long after? Thanks! Hannah
  13. Hey guys, I really struggled to find timelines for the 820/801 on shore Visa applications as a reference to how long mine might take. I got my permanent residence email through today! So after lots of tears and celebrations I just thought I'd share my timeline for others currently still waiting on their own visas! It's so hard having absolutely no hint or indication from immi and the current wait times are exploding which can be depressing! So! I flew back to Australia in March 2018 on a tourist visa. I did not use an agent, I submitted my fully loaded (all police checks, medical done straight away, all forms and evidence completed etc) on April 27th 2018. Current Visa wait time when I applied was 17-24 months. Yuck. We had been living together for over three years when we applied so I included a letter asking to be considered for immediate processing of my 801 with my 820 Visa (Long term partnership). After hearing nothing for months we recieved an email in October 2018 asking for a UK police check for my partner as he had lived with me in the UK for a year. I had already planned ahead and applied for this already so I uploaded it straight away (I had actually forgotten to add it once it arrived!). After this we heard nothing for ages. I applied for "change of address" and for a Bridging visa B in order to visit home during this time all of which was processed smoothly. Some of my friends seemed to think these updates kept your profile more "active" keeping it at the top of the pile but I don't know how accurate this is, I doubt it to be honest! Then I received an automated message on April 27th 2019 (exactly one year after applying) giving me a generic notice that my Visa WAS in a queue and being processed. I didn't know what to make of this. If it was just automatically sent after one year or really meant a CO had picked up our case and was moving it along... (I still don't know...). Then today, May 1st 2019 I received my 820 and 801 Visa grant notifications simultaneously by email! I'd also like to mention that every three or four months I would "top up" my evidence with more info on our joint accounts, rent payments, holidays, family events etc. I wanted to show our relationship to be strong and continuing. So all in all my application only took one year!! Much shorter than the current advertised processing time of 21-28 months! Which is JUST for the temporary part technically. So don't lose hope guys! Keep updating your info. Give them EVERYTHING they could possibly need. Don't wait to be asked for police checks or medical info just in case they might "go out of date". Get it ALL in and make your case as easy to process as possible! Good luck! I'm off to drink more champagne!

  15. Hello all, My British fiance applied for his Prospective Marriage visa on 01/06/2017. I wanted to start a new thread specifically for the Prospective Marriage visa subclass 300, where others can share their timelines if they like. The current processing times are as follows: 75% of applications processed in 11 months 90% of applications processed in 16 months Please feel free to share your timelines.
  16. Hi all, I lodged my fiances 300 visa late 2017 and i am still waiting. I am just wondering how long have you all waited for your prospective visas.

    143 timeline

Hi, we lodged our 143 visa application in June 2015, has anyone an idea as when immi will first pick it up and make contact for police checks, medicals etc.. Thank you for any replies.
  18. Is anyone else in middle of their subclass 100 assessment? We submitted ours last month, June 2018. Current wait time is ridiculous - 23 to 32 months!! Can we all share experience? Thank you!
  19. Hey all, Was just looking for some recent timeline info for applications submitted this year. I submitted my 820/801 April 27th 2018. Front loaded with police checks included. Was asked for medical straight away and completed 1st May 2018. Heard nothing until 12th October 2018 when asked for Aus partner's UK police check which I had coincidentally applied for just in case they wanted that too so I uploaded straight away along with new evidence over the last six months (holidays, lease, bank account statements). I just wondered if anyone has had experience of how long after they ask for more info that you tend to be granted the 820? I've heard rumblings that they're currently processing a lot of WA visas just now, a few of my friends visas in WA have came through, but I'm trying to not get too excited! Any time line comparisons would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  20. Hi all, Was wondering if anyone on here could give me some insight into my problem, as i cant seem to find any information on it on the forum. My problem is that i'm a UK citizen, who has PR here (gained Feb this year), so qualify for citizenship February 2019. Problem is, me and my Mrs were going to move back to the UK as we have been here for a few years now and the parents back home are getting a bit older and such, so we want to go back and spend some time with them. The predicament is that i was going to wait until i got my citizenship before we left for the UK as we don't know how long we intend on staying there, so thought it would be easier if i just had an Aussie passport if we decided to make the move back here. I never realized that the citizenship process lasted so long (14-17 months according to the website!!) Does anyone know if i can apply for the citizenship in Feb, move back to the UK, then fly back for the ceremony? or do i need to stay in Aus for the entire time that the application is being sorted out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  21. hi everyone I am new on here so bear with me if i make any mistakes but my only living family are moving to australia and want me to join them as soon as i can. I am just 70 and fit and healthy with funds to buy house (eventually) and medical ins etc so not looking for any handouts. I am getting conflicting advice about how long these visas are taking and what the chances are of being accepted and obviously the thought of being left on my own over here is upsetting but if I can't get a visa then i have no choice but to come to terms with itl. Does anyone know what the situation is for aged contributory visa timeline once I have applied? Thank you for your patience
  22. Hi All, First timer here, so be kind... I'm a UK resident married to an Aussie Wife, we have been together for 9 years or so. Married for 2.5 Years. We have one 18month old little boy, with another one on the way. Due around July. The time has come, and we plan to head back to Aus in December. From what I can see, we will be able to get the kids Aus citizenship by descent, and this shouldn't cost too much, around £230 plus £95 for Additional newborn. I, on the other hand, will have to jump through the usual visa hoops and pay around 7k AUD. The waiting time appears to be around 11 months if applied in the UK and 22months in AUS. I'm interested in advice to see if there's a better way of doing things as if I apply here and don't get my passport or visa back in time for me to fly in December, then I might be better off flying out on a tourist visa, and then applying to stay as such. I would also be interested if anyone knows if there's a cheaper or better way of my doing things, as my wife and two kids i will all be citizens, will they still charge me 7k for the privilege, I thought a while back they use to do free or cheaper visa's if you had young children etc. Any help would be appreciated.
  23. Hi Guys, I been waiting for a while now and I am sure we all are eagerly and patiently on the look out. Just want to know the progress of other applicants since lodging their application.
