      1. 143 timeline

Hi, we lodged our 143 visa application in June 2015, has anyone an idea as when immi will first pick it up and make contact for police checks, medicals etc.. Thank you for any replies.
      2. how much time for grant?

Dear members, I need to know how much time does it take for visa grant for 189, after visa lodgement? Please advice, thank you
      3. Hello everyone, I completed medicals June 25th and also police check is uploaded. Can anyone advise their timelines to 489 visa grant after this? i.e after uploading police check and completing medicals. Much appreciated.
      4. Hello all, My British fiance applied for his Prospective Marriage visa on 01/06/2017. I wanted to start a new thread specifically for the Prospective Marriage visa subclass 300, where others can share their timelines if they like. The current processing times are as follows: 75% of applications processed in 11 months 90% of applications processed in 16 months Please feel free to share your timelines.
      5. Please your share timeline after citizenship change announcement
      6. Here is the link to the latest visa application processing times published by the DIBP http://www.border.gov.au/about/access-accountability/service-standards/global-visa-citizenship-processing-times
      7. Hi all, Has anyone else submitted their visa application this month? I have booked the medicals for 21st Feb How long should it take from here? If you submitted this month, when are you planning to make the move?
      8. Hi Allm My other half has just lodged our EOI for the a state sponsored visa in NSW (im assuming its a 190). He is a plumber and has 60 points. I have been driving him mad with questions so though it would be an idea to post on here to get some idea of what others are experiencing. Can someone give me an idea if the time getting selected differs for each profession and if anyone has had any experiences with this for a plumber? Does everyone get a Case Officer do you only get one when you have been selected? As the spouse what do I need to do? I dont seem have done much really so is there anything I can do to help. We are currently using an agent to get this visa and so far it has taken a year to get everything done and the EOI to be lodged. Its so long and i just cant see light at the end of the tunnel so any advice/experiences would be great. Thanks all ss
      9. Dear all, I would like to ask if it helps CO to confirm his/her decision if a 457 visa application is lodged before the nomination is approved? My situation is my boss lodged the nomination application in late May and received a request for more information in late June; we then have been waiting until now. My boss did not pass me the TRN as he is used to having the visa application lodgement only after the nomination is approved. The thing is, I read the following latest newsletter update on an agency website: Processing times and changes to caseload allocation The Department is undertaking a number of steps in an effort to reduce processing times. Under one such initiative, 457 processing will move to a “global allocation model” across the Department’s five processing centres. Associated nominations and visa applications will be allocated to one case officer at the same time. This is a move designed to improve consistency of decision-making as well as improving efficiency. So I wonder will nominations without relevant visa application noted are being put aside until the IMMI receives it, so that the CO can assess the case with all information at once. Grateful for your advice and comments. Many thanks, kieu

      11. Hello peeps. Have lodged my side of 457 application after an agonising wait for TRN number from sponsor - had not realised they had not even got a sponsor status until I have completed everything for the skills assessment :arghh:! Not impressed to say the least. Only got 9 weeks left before I have to register in person at AHPRA so panic mode definitely on. Rant over. In preparation, am wondering if you lot have any recommendation on which one to choose for visa medicals (particularly one with quick turnaround time??). We are in Cambridgeshire so closest would be London/Essex ( Knightsbridge or Spire Brentwood), or Birmingham (Handsworth or Spire Little Aston). What would be the expected turnaround results from the medicals, do any of you know? Had read some issues with one in Birmingham in another forum (apparently very slow with miscommunications etc). We don't mind paying more as long as we don't have to play the unnecessary waiting game again. Thanks in advance for any reply x
      12. Hi there, I applied for RSMS (RCB +nomination+187visa)on 26 jun 14 in Melbourne.Employer and MA's decision to lodge altogether!! my occupation is retail manager got 4 years experience. RCB got approved in 2 weeks. But as usual like all of us no news about CO. but my concern is previously I applied 885 and got rejected due to IELTS!!! got IELTS now. So I lodge offshore and currently I m in overseas. is there anyone got similar case? please share ur experience! Please let me know ur timeline. Thanks heaps!!!!
      13. Thought I'd start a post to see whereabouts people were in applications, keep track of any updates, and of course vent any frustrations! Hopefully there are a few of us on this forum and it would be interesting to hear how people are getting on. I applied 22nd jan, online. No correspondence yet, so have been uploading more evidence and info that we didn't have at the time of application, e.g superannuation beneficiary, and soon joint private health care. Has anyone has contact with DIBP yet?
      14. Employer nomination approved, 457 visa + defacto partner (both British) application lodged 11th June with MA, still waiting for any kind of status change on the website, medicals not requested (yet!), maybe they can see I keep checking the status online thrice a day (at least) so are going to take their time!! Got flights on hold departing 5th August which need to be booked by 16th July as supposed to be starting job in Sydney on 13th August! So much to organise and so little time to do it in the closer the departure date gets ... just want approval now! Hate being in limbo! Lol! 11/06/2013 Application received - processing commenced 11/06/2013 Application fee received Anybody had any experience or able to provide a 457 approval time frame for the Sydney office? MA says recently has been under 4 weeks, which for us should be by the end of next week (hopefully!) ...
      15. Hi Guys, It would be great to hear from anyone who has also lodged their Prospective marriage Visa (subclass 300) offshore and get a better idea of timelines. February 12th 2013- Lodged my application (everything expect for police and medical checks as I was advised this would be requested by the CO later) February 14th - Payment taken from my credit card. I believe it is now a 10 day wait to be assigned a case officer and then a much longer wait until the visa is potentially approved. Is anyone else doing this at around the same time as me? My wedding is in October this year, praying it comes through pretty swiftly!! Thanks H x
      16. January 2013 189 Visa

Hi, Been a struggle but the Visa application has finally been submitted. just thought i'd start a new thread for the 189's. Seem to be plenty for the 190's. Please update timelines etc and expected date of migration. Cheers Tony
      17. A collection of Qs ( 489-189-190 )

Hello I have a few questions that I couldn't really find answers for, not in the booklet nor the web site which is not the easiest to navigate around 1. What is really the difference between visa 489, 189 and 190? 2. If my husbands visa 489 was granted, do we have to move to AU in a specific time? do I have to join him with my baby within the timeline? 3. In skillselect, to which type of visa priority is given, in other words which type of visa timeline is shorter? 4. For my husband skill assessment, 3 Authorities are suggested, Does that mean that any of them is ok? he's an accountant. 5. My 2 uncles are already in Australia with permanent residency, Sydney and Epping (NSW), can I go under visa subclass 176? Thank you
      18. Vetassess October 2012

Hi guys, About to embark on a skills assessment for the 186 ENS visa. Highest Qualification : Masters in Marketing (sydney Uni) Work experience Post Qualification (Masters) : 19 months fulltime - Marketing / Advertising industry (1 year 7 months) Proposed docs : Skill assessment form Master degree certificate Masters degree transcripts Statement of service / employer reference Tax return Payslip Employment contract Originals (if copies then notarised by justice of peace) The above clearly demonstrates I am in the industry and job closely linked to my area of study. Do I need to submit my undergraduate study/work experience PRIOR to Masters(highest qualification?) I don't want to slow down the assessment with unnecessary information that is redundant. Cheers Bonza
      19. Hi All .. SUBCLASS 300 Prospective marriage visa Has anyone any information on the timeline for applying for the above? My application went in on the 1st August and the Medical sent 17th August ... All documents and letters were submitted. We have not received ANY questions or been asked for futher evidence / documents .... Just ANXIOUS as hell and need to be with my Fiance!!!!! xxxxxxxxx:arghh:
      20. Hi All .... My Name is Gill (from Wigan (UK) and i am currently awaiting a reply for my Subclass 300 Visa Application. We have booked our wedding for the 14th April 2013. I spent a full 3 months collecting all our documents and data (statements, police check and evidence of our ongoing relationship) before sending the completed application on the 1st August 2012. Within 1 week we were asked for me to complete my MEDICAL examination to which we did immediately (they received the results on the 17th August 2012). We have had no requests for further information and are under the impression that the immigration are happy with all the documents sent. I am just wondering if anyone knows the approximate timescale from the MEDICAL to getting an answer? ANXIOUS is an underestimation!!! :twitcy:
      21. This timeline and info thread is for those who have lodged their applications post 1st July,2012, under the new skillselect scheme. The Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) is for skilled workers from outside Australia or skilled temporary residents who currently live and work in Australia. It is part of the permanent Employer Sponsored visa program. To apply for this visa, you must: be nominated by an approved employer be younger than 50 years of age meet the skills and qualifications requirements meet English language requirements. If you are nominated to apply for this visa, you must lodge your application online within six months of the date the nomination was approved. When you apply, you must select one of the visa’s three streams. Choose the Temporary Residence Transition stream if you are a subclass 457 visa holder who has worked for your employer for two years in the nominated occupation and your employer wants to offer you a permanent position in that occupation. Choose the Direct Entry stream if you have never, or only briefly, worked in the Australian labour market and have not held a subclass 457 visa for the last two years, or if you are applying directly from outside Australia. Choose the Agreement stream if you are being sponsored by an employer through a tailored and negotiated labour agreement or regional migration agreement.
      22. Why isn't the line moving?

We are in the flagged occupations list (ICT BA) and anxiously watching the processing speed. Why is DIAC stuck in June for so long???? Any ideas???
      23. Hi All, I have applied for ACS review/reassessment of 9 months of my recent work experience. Previously I was not able to submit any documentation for this work experience, hence ACS had given me 'Not Assessed' for it. Now I have submitted a reference letter from my supervisor. So this is a case of new documents made available rather than any complicated code change. Any idea how much time the review/reassessment will take. My review/reassessment documents reached ACS on 27th Jan 2012 (received acknowledge from them) and with assessor since 3rd Feb. Not sure how long the assessor will take, If anybody has any idea on recent timeline it will help. I have already taken NSW sponsorship, which will expire on 9th March, so need the review/reassessment before that so that I can file PR. If anybody has any suggestions on this, those are most welcome. ACS lost my review/reassessment documents sent on Jan 12, and they gave me 3 more weeks to submit fresh ones, which reached them on 27th Jan. Can I request them to speed up as they had lost the documents once. Awaiting replies :dull: Supjit
      24. We had it all planned out nicely......or so we thought!!! We have wanted to move to Oz for some time now and planned to make the move in 2013 when I complete my studies for my degree - this plan hasn't changed for the last 3 and a half years! We tried to approach this sensibly and began researching on the internet, during which we discovered that the visa application was quoted as being 12-18 months for a 176 PR visa. We planned our timeline for a move in August / September 2013 and not having to validate before purchasing the much wanted one-way tickets. So far everything has gone to plan, the skills assessment, IELTS and the state sponsorship are all in bag and inline with our original timeline, the problem comes with the next step.........applying for the visa. The 12-18 months has now reduced to 2-3 months (?), I have seen one POI member got theirs in 2 weeks!!! Most people will think that this is great but to us its a nightmare. We have to apply for the visa by the end of March or we will lose our state sponsorship, but the current processing times will more than likely mean we have an Initial Entry Date way before we are able to leave meaning the only option would be for a costly validation trip that we can't afford!!! :arghh: :arghh::arghh: :mad::mad: :arghh::arghh::arghh: VERY ANNOYING!!! Does this effect anybody else in this way or is everyone just pleased to get the golden ticket ASAP???
      25. Vic SS - any ideas on timeline?

Hiya guys We have applied for Victoria state sponsorship and received an email conformation on the 10th Nov saying it takes up to 12 weeks. Just wondered if any of you had applied and if so how long did it take? My hubby is an ICT professional so am a bit nervous after reading a few posts from people who have recently been rejected. Em x
