Quick update from me,

Submitted all trade licenses, waiting on decision from CO. Anyone know how long they usually take to process requested information?

Feels like I've been waiting a lifetime for this visa!

PR VISA GRANTED, fantastic! Very happy, thanks for your help and wish good luck to other people out-there waiting!

It has been a long trip for us. Have been here for 6 years and this was the second PR application (the first one was never refused, yet the processing times are just very extended on the individual applications). A lot of effort (and money) was put into the application; anyone new to the forum please be prepared for a long and windy road, sleepless nights, nervous moments, uncertainty etc............ yet it worth it if that is what you want to do! Note that most of the work will be done by you and an RMA will only supervise paperwork and advise directions.

Once again I summarize my timeline

1, we decided to investigate the option of an ENS 121/856 application in September 2011

2, pre-checked the company's commitment and other related issues in October 2011

3, payed the initial deposit to my RMA in early November 2011

4, 2 (very intensive) months to collect required documentation Nov-Dec 2011

5, DRC application lodged in Parramatta via our RMA 13/01/2012

6, there was a mismatch with the payment (according to our RMA) and received a refund 6 Feb 2012 for the difference between an onshore and offshore application fee (I am staying onshore, however the application is considered offshore as we found out)

7, CO appointed 17 Feb

8, Pre-Grant letter 27 Feb (no other docs requested, compliments to my RMA, she submitted everything that was required)

9, 2 March travelled overseas (offshore application)

10, 2 March PR Visa Granted

11, 8 March initial entry to AUS, PR visa activated

Cheers and good luck

Martin

Congratulations Martin. You got a PR visa in record time, 2 months! Wow, that is brilliant! Enjoy!

Hi,

When employer lodge the ESN 121 nomination application after how many days they receive the TRN usually because my wife has been advised by the recruitment agent saying hospital is waiting for her TRN. So does that mean they have lodged her nomination and awating for an acknowledgement.

I checked this morning - the dates haven't been updated for the last 3 weeks. Maybe they'll change on Monday.

Any update of the Melbourne Business Centre?

Thanks!

Unreal! Was that Drc?

No. I'm a radiographer though. I'm guessing that the healthcare staff shortages hurried them on a bit, but never expected that. Still reeling from it

A couple of information links from the immi site:

Processing times:

ETA Eligible passports

I'm from the UK (ETA), my girlfriend from Colombia (non-ETA), looks like we'll be in for the 8 month wait on this.

I submitted my nomination for 856 on 9th Nov , 2011.

and my PR application on 29th Jan 2012.

Sent my police checks and medicals

Got the nomination approval on 12.03.2012 after 4 months.
