Spikey
As far as I heard they are busy with the 143 visas at the moment as they had taken too many 173s and they need to rectify the situation.
TADec16
Nope. Itโs all about onshore applications. 884 and 864 in pause to expedite 143 and 173.

Hi Susie, Don't worry about being a 173. Though there are only a few 173s , we were all called for additional documents before the 143s and visasย ย granted before or around theย 143s of similar dates. My Parents also applied on 2nd Oct to convert their 173 to 143, and the application was taken up in 2 months. Yesterday I was asked to get the Bank Guarantee for Assurance of Support. ย

They may have to visit the Centrelink office for a new set-up. That's what my Mrs and I did as well. LBee
Can you tell me if the Centerlink Office provide the Customer Reference Number when you go to the office, or does it take a few days?ย My son is currently offshore and will be another 3 weeks before he is back onshore, which does not allow a lot of time to get AOS done within the 28 days.ย Although he has all the information already, he just needs the CRN number.ย So frustrating

Your son can apply AoS via his MyGov, if he can access to the internet. But I guess, he hasย to provide scanned document as well. Prasad.mahadik
Need some help. I have heard that there are chances of 143 getting rejected on medical grounds . For eg If the applicant has a cancer or previously had cancer. Does anyone in a similar situation has received a visa also at what stage they decide to reject the visa. If we recieve the request for additional docs should be assume that visa will beย granted at some stage or even after that there are chances of rejection after that.

bridgie
Did you contact your bank before hand to have the daily limit of you BPay lifted in order to pay the large sum of $$?Commonwealth bank will allow you to increase your BPay limit to 100k. Itโs very easy to do if you have access to your online account and you donโt have to go into the branch.Bridgie
