louielou
So fed up today. My application started in March with my nomination being approved in June. My application was then sent in July after waiting for my police check to come through. Now I'm being told I basically have to wait for a second time rather than them classing me as a March applicant. I feel like all I have been doing this year is waiting and waiting!!!! Two waiting periods! Has anyone been through a similar thing? Where they had their nomination approved and then put in their application? It helps so see all your timelines! will hopefully be updating mine soon......
Raul Senise
Processing times for Subclass 186 applications continue to be a bit erratic but are steadily improving again. Specific circumstances of each application will also dictate processing times. Below are a few of my recent approvals to highlight variance in processing times. Nom Lodged 19 June, approved 02 September; Visa lodged 19 June, approved 03 September; Nom Lodged 07 June, approved 09 August; Visa lodged 07 June, approved 09 August; Nom Lodged August 2012, approved 15 May 2013 (Lodged by company themselves); Visa lodged 19 June, approved 26 August; Nom Lodged 18 June, approved 16 August; Visa lodged 18 June, approved 16 August;

oppyddrum
yea, when you wait till the NOM is approved, the visa application starts its own wait time. My parents are in the second wait period now as well, they submitted their 186 (transition stream) july 29 and they are still waiting and this is in the oerth office. When my dad's employer put in the NOM, they said my dad had to wait for the approval before the visa application could be done, otherwise, they would have put in the visa application in the same time. shellywellywoo
Hi and congratulations. I am also doing the 186 visa myself. Can i ask your advice. I have uploaded the documents to the check list, however there are a lot 'recommended'. Do I need to do any of these, such as evidence of relatives, evidence of residential address etc? My nomination was submitted 22 May 2013 and i have heard nothing. My visa i submitted last week.
shellywellywoo
Hi All, I have a few questions if anyone can help. Nomination submitted May 2013 Realised we used an out of date checklist so had to add the further two years training. Submitted the revised documents a few weeks later. I then came across so more information that made me believe that what my employer was claiming as training couldn't be. So I got an emigration specialist involved. A further document submitted for the training was submitted last week along with my visa. * My current 457 visa runs of November - does the bridging automatically happen? * When submitting my documents I noticed the "recommended" documents to upload that are not in the check list, such as evidence of relatives, evidence of residential address, do i need these? * online there is a link to get a medical referral letter, do i organise that or do i wait to be requested? Please help

Please help Hi shelly! - You should have bridging visa after they acknowledged your visa application. However it is not in effect because you have a valid 457. By November, you should have your PR already. Otherwise, check with them to activate the bridging visa after your 457 expires. - Recommended is not alway needed. Stick to the document check list. - You should probably get moving with the medical, will save you some waiting time.

Gaskit
Hi all, I thought I would add my timeline to give hope for those who submitted at the same time as us as we got our 186 yesterday: Application through MA lodged 27 June (just before the fee increase ;-). Police checks and medical were uploaded in July and the IELTS certificate mid August. 186 granted 12/09/13 good luck to all of you still waiting . Nokia
Hi Biggy, Me and my company was applying for 186 Transition Stream until we found the company has not met the training requirement for the past 2 years. We are trying to find a way to make those up, but it seems immigration is not accepting back-date payment now..would be great if you could share me your experience. Thanks. Nokia
Hi eswarpisces, I don't think it should be a problem for your employer to provide the profit & loss statement. However, I have been going through the same problem regarding meeting the training benchmark. If you know your employer has been investing in training for his Australian employees and meets the 1% of payroll, this will suffice. My employer has no training in effect with his company and is having to meet the training benchmark 'A' 2% of payroll, which he is donating to Tafe Institute to meet this requirement. It is also possible that the 1%, training benchmark 'B' can be met if your employer has evidence to show an auditable plan to meet the requirements without the training being delivered within the 28 day period that immigration give you. This auditable plan is also available for company's that have been trading for less than 12 months. I have info. on all this that I could attach here if it is possible to do so??? thought it was better with the quote.. I am just awaiting news of mine. Can I ask, why did you do IELTS, I take it you're from the UK and my understanding is that it's not required for UK citizens?? Just don't want to have missed something crucial in my application!? cheers

Is there any news from direct entry( three years job experiences) applicent. Specially June 2013. I have a very unhelpfull lawyer to handle with, just hate him. paddlegirl
ENS 186 - Direct Entry Not DRC Nomination by my employer June 12, 2013 No response on the nomination beyond acknowledgement Sent in my Visa Lodgement September 18, 2013 Dealing with Perth Office Wondering why some of the nominations from June went through so quickly and others haven't. Seems there's not much logic?
