  1. My application was lodged in Parramatta When I called, just called 131 881. But to make sure you go through to the right centre you have to press 6 (from memory). I got various people... some were like '6-8 months blah blah' some were incredibly incredibly helpful. They usually tell you to just email, which I did four times before getting a response. Once I got a response from someone I found them to be quite helpful too. It might have been different in my case as I was asking them about something that started for me in March. I just kept telling them that pretty much over and over. From what I have read on here if your nomination and application are put forward at different times and neither has been approved they will be addressed at the same time. They 'link' your files and then put them through the system based on the earliest date. They should be able to tell you that on the phone.
  2. Finally I have a full update to post!! I feel like I have been waiting forever and completely know the pain and frustration that everyone is going through. But it does come so hang in there!! Employer nomination lodged (non DRC) 12th March 2013 Case officer assigned: 17th June 2013 Asked for extra documents (training requirements): 24th June 2013 Sent extra documents: Weds 3rd July Company nomination approved: Friday 5th July My application lodged (DRC using MA): 19th July Acknowledgement received: 24th July Case officer assigned: Sep 11th Approved: Sep 24th I felt like I went through two waiting periods and the time it took the case officer to approve the final bit was crazy!!! (Sep 11th - 24th!) I was told that my case office worked part time so didn't have as much time to get through things. Before the case office was assigned I called immigration several times (don't stop if you need an answer!!!). I was told at one point that I had been filed in two different places. Once this was sorted things seemed to move faster. I am very happy now (and a little exhausted)!! Thank you to everyone to posted their timelines - it is the one thing that has really helped throughout this. Also - as you can see - I did the first half non-MA and the second half MA... not much of a difference!
  3. So fed up today. My application started in March with my nomination being approved in June. My application was then sent in July after waiting for my police check to come through. Now I'm being told I basically have to wait for a second time rather than them classing me as a March applicant. I feel like all I have been doing this year is waiting and waiting!!!! Two waiting periods! Has anyone been through a similar thing? Where they had their nomination approved and then put in their application? It helps so see all your timelines! will hopefully be updating mine soon......
  4. So happy for you! Reading that gives me hope that things are getting a little quicker. Isn't it funny that you called and were told it might take 6-8 months and then it came through just like that!! Just shows that the people on the phones know little about what's going on. Hanging in there!!!
  5. Wow that's crazy. In my experience if someone is short with you on the phone, it's usually because they are extremely busy and their facts are often incorrect. I called my migration agent yesterday to see if she had spotted any trends recently and she did say that she had noticed things had slowed down. However, she has had regional applications approved that were put in around the same time as my app (July 19th 2013). She said it seems that they are giving preference to regional areas before the cities. I asked her if she had a date in mind for mine to come through and she said she's hoping for early September. My original application started in March too so we're both in the same boat.
  6. Another update from me! (Seems we share some of the same dates tabbo so keep me posted with yours!!!!) Employer nomination lodged (non DRC) 12th March 2013 Case officer assigned: 17th June 2013 Asked for extra documents (training requirements): 24th June 2013 Sent extra documents: Weds 3rd July Company nomination approved: Friday 5th July My application lodged (DRC using MA): 19th July Acknowledgement received: 24th July The final stage of waiting begins!!!
  7. Hey Saqibqu, My MA has everything she needs (I have all my docs ready and have already had my medical). I am now just waiting for her to go over my forms and apply. If everything goes well (which i'm hoping it does!) she should be applying this week. Will keep you posted Louielou
  8. Another update from me! Nomination application lodged (non DRC) 12th March 2013 Case officer assigned: 17th June 2013 Asked for extra documents (training requirements): 24th June 2013 Sent extra documents: Weds 3rd July Company nomination approved: Friday 5th July This was all Non DRC. Now just my application that I am using a migration agent for. Will keep you posted with that and will get to see the time difference. Louielou
  9. Another update from me! Nomination application lodged (non DRC) 12th March 2013 Case officer assigned: 17th June 2013 Asked for extra documents (training requirements): 24th June 2013 My company is working on putting extra things together (crossing everything!!)... will keep you all posted! Louielou
  10. Hi all, Just wanted to update you with timelines... My company put their application in (non DRC) on 12th March 2013 and we have just been assigned a case officer today! (17th June 2013) So, 3 months 5 days for the first half of my application. I have decided to use a migration agent for my half... will be interesting to see the difference in time. Will keep you all posted! Louielou
  11. Hi Jon, I'm in the same boat as you - my company put through their side of the application on March 12th (non DRC) and I'm still waiting for a reply. Not heard a thing yet. I have all of the docs ready for my side of the application and I'm keen on getting my half in (I'm also keen to use a migration agent for my side as the processing times seem way shorter). However, like you, I'm unsure whether to wait or not. Waiting for the 'wait' to begin is agonising! Also re: meds - I think they last a certain amount of time (maybe 6 months) but I would check on the immigration site or call medibank health for that info.
  12. Thanks Tickled Pink. Did you get all of your copies signed by someone too? I have all my copies scanned as coloured documents but not signed. Did you do this?
  13. How long did people wait to get their UK police check back? (if you had to get one of course!) The MA I'm using won't start working on my application until I have it. Also, with the medical, will a receipt for the appointment work to show proof that it's booked?? Not sure what is expected to be added to the online application and the MA isn't doing anything until I have ALL of my forms apparently.... Thanks!
  14. Wow! Congrats!! My nomination has been in since March with no news yet. Putting my half of the application in as soon as I get my UK Police Check back... This post just made me very happy! Nice to see some good news regarding timeframes!
  15. Congrats RCPlus3! Great news!! And also great news for Gethsemene and the DRC app! Jan-Apr is crazy! I have just chased my employer's nomination (12th March 13) and got the standard response that they have received the application and are expecting a 6-8 month wait. I am hoping that this is just the standard reply? Has anyone else had the same kind of response?
