  1. I didn't hear a word on anything either until my nomination was approved - that was the first sign of anything after submitting all my documents so have some faith and trust that it's being processed and approved quickly. That's all. Positive thinking. It works!
  2. I think the difference is that while my application wasn't sent in until late September my nomination had yet to be approved. From my understanding when speaking with them - if your nomination and application are both in together (before either is approved - even if not lodged at the same time) they still get looked at together when they do get assessed whereas if your nomination is approved before you lodge your application then your application is then subject to another waiting period which again could be as long as their quoted 6-8 months. My understanding at least. So while my application went in in September my nomination is what started the waiting period (submitted back in June). So I still endured the 4 months of waiting but just risked submitting both together and therefore got it all approved in one go.
  3. And it did... VISA Granted October 11, 2013 Good luck to those still waiting... my weekend will be spent celebrating - so stoked!
  4. Update on my application... ENS 186 - Direct Entry Not DRC Nomination by my employer June 12, 2013 Nomination APPROVED October 10, 2013 Sent in my Visa Lodgement September 18, 2013 Medical completed October 3, 2103 (with only the online request, not by a CO officer) Dealing with Perth Office... Thinking application approval might come today...
  5. So when I called the office to find out anything I could about the status of my application I also inquired about the medical requirements and they stated to wait until I heard from a CO about needing one however on the bottom of the online application it provided the medical letter - could this be all that is holding up the processing of my application? I have scheduled an appointment for next week but it wasn't something I was told to go and do but rather just a link on the application and I have no idea if it was there initially or not. Anyone have any knowledge of this?
  6. louielou - couple of questions... where was your application lodged? also, when you mention calling - who did you call and did you just give your TRN number to find out the status? The only thing I get is the standard 6-8 months rather than speaking to someone who actually looks up my application. I don't even think I have been assigned a case officer though my nomination was lodged in mid June. Does anyone know if the nomination hasn't been yet approved and my visa application has now been submitted (though a few months later) if they will both be reviewed at the same time when it does come up or will they go through separately? Just curious.
  7. ENS 186 - Direct Entry Not DRC Nomination by my employer June 12, 2013 No response on the nomination beyond acknowledgement Sent in my Visa Lodgement September 18, 2013 Dealing with Perth Office Wondering why some of the nominations from June went through so quickly and others haven't. Seems there's not much logic?
