Thanks

Town Planner.

Did it myself, was pretty much decision ready apart from the medicals, which we did 1 week after the application.

Wasn't submitted as decision ready as only an agent can lodge DR.

That's brilliant hoping to hear some good news myself, I have been in Perth on a 457 for nearly 3 year and wouldn't mind setting up down secret harbour myself.

My time line is below, the application is DRC through a agent.

Nomination and application submitted: 26/6/13

Nomination and application Acknowledge: 26/6/13

Case Officer: ?????? Currently says in progress in the top right of the page and process next to my name.

Grant:?????

How will I know when I have a case officer allocated??

Didn't get told I had a case officer just got an email with my visa grant notice. I don't think they are obliged to contact you when you are allocated (though some do), they only contact if they need more info but if you have all the info they need they can make a decision easily and just email you with a decision like they did for me.

What a difference a day makes! Been super busy at work today and didn't,t check my email until just before I left at 6pm and the golden email was there, in fact had been sat in my inbox since 7.32am this morning! ENS 186 granted, been PR all day and didn't realise.

Super super elated, hope everyone else gets theirs soon! Here is my timeline.

Nomination submitted: 28.3.2013

Nomination granted: 18.6.2013

Positive skills assessment: 12.7.2013 (applied 3.3.2013) Midwife

Visa application (non DR without MA): 13.7.2013

Visa grant: 15.8.2013

Happy, happy, happy. Good luck to everyone else waiting x

So happy for you! Reading that gives me hope that things are getting a little quicker.

Isn't it funny that you called and were told it might take 6-8 months and then it came through just like that!! Just shows that the people on the phones know little about what's going on.

Hanging in there!!!

This scenario of your visa being granted so quickly (as a few others too lately in a similar circumstance) give no end of hope to people lodging visas themselves I'm sure, but to people paying agents to lodge decision ready applications this is frustrating to hear. I'm sure that they just throw applications in the air and process the ones that fall first haha. There really does seem to be no point at all to DR at the moment. :arghh:

Hi, all.

How are you today. Just got a call from Fragomen (agent office) that my 186 ENS just got approved. No idea when CO was assigned and how it was gone at all then just got result from them.

1. It took just 69 days from 11th of June this year. Lodged to Parramatta office.

2. Fragomen didn't update me how it was going till now (actually updated me like 'Even others got PR sooner, that doesn't mean you are (or can) be one of them' only when I asked).

3. Decision ready

4. Temporary Residence Transition stream

To be honest, whenever they called me, it was always a kind of bad news. As I wrote, my job description had to be changed according to last year July policy so they warned me like some of people like me were rejected / withdrawn. And there were some other calls so this afternoon when I got that number then hearing voice of my agent- I was really afraid what she would say. Then she just said 'Your visa has been approved' and that was all.

Anyhow, I am so glad to see my wife cries for this while it was her who really wants to have it for her study as well as my 1st son's kindi application (which costs 5,000 AUD without PR).

Thanks so so much to all of you for cheering me up. Wish you good luck and I definitely believe all of you will be fine since I, as a kind of 'bottom' one, could get PR eventually.

It is just a Monday so not sure if I can drink, phew. ;)

Its looking pretty random, you applied in May and haven't heard anything, yet some people who applied in June have been granted.

I am a june applicant myself and have heard nothing.

Hi Guys,

I've received the TRN number from my Visa application. How do I proceed to do the medicals. Just call and book at medibank?

Edit :

Lady on the phone said without a "referral" letter, I cannot attend a medical.

I have a TRN, when I tried entering online @ https://visamedicals.medibankhealth.com.au/ it rejected the TRN number.

This link outlines the new process : http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/_pdf/health-process-visa-applicants.pdf

This confuses me as I applied under the DRC.

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the same boat as you guys, so have been reading your posts with interest - my info is as follows:

ENS 186

Occupation: Marketing Specialist

Option: ENS 186 Direct Entry

Location: Parramatta

Timeline:

Applied for Nomination - 19th June 2013 (non DRC and no MA)

I'm waiting to submit my visa application until the nomination comes through, I don't want to spend $$$ and my company not get their nomination approved.

After two months of submitting the nomination, we've received a letter from the case officer asking for some documents which were already uploaded online <sigh!>. We'll send them hard copies with our response to the letter.

BUT, they have asked for evidence that the position is currently occupied by a temporary resident - seriously?! Of course it is, they approved my 457 last year! Is this a daft question or am I missing something? Do I just send them a copy of the visa label in my passport?!

The letter goes on to say that there is a large demand of applications and they are continuing to receive a large number of applications - good luck to everyone!

Cheers,

Aussieange

Hi,

Just starting this whole process. Been in Melbourne for 2 years on 457 so we're going through Transition stream without MA. Employer application not submitted yet but trying to get them to pull their finger out & get it sorted asap.

In the meantime we're trying to get all of our application together. we've applied for police checks in oz & uk but have a quick question about Form 80... From experience, is it just the main visa applicant who needs to fill this out or do other applicants have to complete it too?

Thanks,

Katkin

Hi

Its 80s for everyone I'm afraid if our recent experience is to go by.

Good luck

Surprising as it seems many DRC visa application have been approved already and there was no mention of Form 80.

I better get cracking and have it ready in case I get asked. Thanks

That's what made me wonder too, but looking again it is on the application checklist (and had I looked properly it does actually say everyone on the application needs to complete one!). Better get started on it then...

I got my PR granted today - im ecstatic!

Timeline:-

Nomination submitted - 19/06/13

Application submitted - 08/08/2013

Nomination Approved :- 27/08/2013

Can't believe how quick it was - just goes to show no need to use MA's as they don't speed it up if you know what you're doing!

Hi everyone!

I've been watching this thread for a long time and now would like to join in, as I am about to submit a application.

My application will be non-DR, non-MA, Direct Entry. I am currently on 457, which was granted March 15, 2013. I started working at my position from June 2013.

My employer submited Nomination application on July 17, 2013. I am planning to submit my application on August 30, 2013.

I have a few questions to ask, please:

- How many supporting documents (qualification, passport, birth certificate, employment letter, etc) can I attach to the application? Is there any limit?

- My medical check for 457 was in February 2013 (6 month old). Do I need to do everything for medical check all over again, or should I just wait to see if the CO will ask me for some supplementary test? Trying to cut cost here :)

- Form 80, is it for everyone? because I can see that the form include everyone in my family already?

Thank you very much!

Congratz jon203! Did you submit the Form 80? I have filled up similar questions of Character assessment when doing the electronic visa application online. I wonder if the Form 80 is still required in this scenario?

Thanks.
