  3. Hi Eswar pises,Dont worry about the additiobal docs its normal docs and u shud be fine, have u already lodged the visa application or waiting for the nomination to be approved and then u will apply? i lodged my application a week after u so i m waiting for my turn now. cheers
  4. You can lodge your application and it will save you processing time as your application will already be in the system when your nomination is approved. Cheers
  5. Not necessary it depends if you have lodged the nomination and application together then there is a chance that same visa officer looks at your application after approving the nomination. But in your case you didnt lodge application with your nomination so i am sure the visa officer will be different. Just ring DIAC to check for the progress of your application. Cheers
  6. yes the process has been speed up and there are many applicants who applied in May have got their visas so hope for the best. Cheers
  7. yes if others can get it early we can get it early too i am expecting anytime now.
  8. It depends which pathway you are taking if you are applying thru 'Transition Scheme' then you dont need a skill assessment as your 2yrs on 457 will be enough. But if you are apply via 'Direct Entry' then you will need to get a skilled assessment from the relevant authority. I am not sure if you need skill assessment on 'agreement stream' or not. Cheers
  9. Thanks for sharing your timeline. I applied one week after you so keep me updated if you heard anything. So far i have not heard a word.
  10. Congrats on your visa buddy finally the long wait is over for you. And thank you very much for this data. Cheers
  11. Thanks louielou for the update. Has your MA submitted your application yet or are you still in process of getting docs together ? Cheers
  12. Hi Guys, Just an update on my friend application. Applied on 14 May 2013, Non-DRC thru MA CO assigned on 13th June asking for PCC Docs supplied in one week and visa approved 2nd July 2013 VO Sydney
  13. Here is the link to the proposed changes http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/strengthening-integrity-457-program.htm Cheers
  14. Hi You cant claim anything on tax as a 457 holder but i hope you are aware of LAFHA ( Living Away From Home Allowance) http://www.lafha.com.au/Home.aspx Cheers
  15. Hi Lee, From 457 you can apply 186 ENS its the same as 457 but gives you a permanent stay, so your employer will sponsor you again for permanently. You will have to be on 457 for 2 yrs before you can apply for this visa. The fees would be around $3600 its going up from 1st July so may be a bit more. Link is given below for the fees. http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/new-visa-charges-1july2013/proposed-visa-pricing-table.htm And here is the link to 186 subclass for your information. http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/visas/subclass-186/ Cheers
  16. No not at the police station, send online applicaiton or by post to AFP (Australian Federal Police) and they will send you within 2-3 weeks. go to their website for forms and fees. Cheers
  17. Going on a student visa after TR and that to for only 1 subject is not a good idea. Get a COE for the complete degree and then apply for the full course. With only 1 subject visa officer will take you as a non genuine student. Best is to talk to immigration agent there are many in Brisbane get an accurate advise. For your help there is one called AMVL (Australian Migratino Visa Lawyers) they do handle student visa. Cheers
  18. Hi Chaz, My application was DRC and MA uploaded all the documents together. It shouldnt be a problem because your MA will load it next week anyway and in between if they review your file they will send your MA an email asking for more documents so dont worry about it. As far as timeline is concern it was taking maximum 9 months for those who applied around July last yr but what i have seen so far is that DIAC is processing application very quickly these days, i have notice 3 ppl who applied in May have already got their visa. And one other friend applied in mid May and CO has been assinged a week ago asking for more information his application was non-DRC. So i think 12 months is too much even 4 months seems alot i would say on average it takes 2-3 months. They definetly give priority to DRC and these application processed quicker as no more docs are required. Which visa office you applied in ? lets see what in store for us keep us updated! Cheers
  19. They will not ask u for the hard copies, if u have scanned the colored copies then thats fine, they ask for certified copies if u r loading a black n white copy of the document.
  20. Definetly its not compulsory he would be asking that just to make your case stronger only if your studies are related to your field. But for 457 their is no minimum qualification requirement as long as you meet the experience and company is happy you can apply. My suggestion would be to discuss your case with some other lawyer as well. Cheers
  21. You will have a ABN certificate thats what it is confirming that your business is registered with ATO. Cheers
