Also when I booked the seats you didn’t have to pay for quarantine so I’m hoping they won’t charge me now I have to rebook if I leave the seat open.- 3,180 replies

I don’t want to cancel the seat because they have said that if Australia lift the sanctions of 150 per plane, the seat would be offered to us on the next available flight or one of our choice. They have been very good and fair to be honest, but yes very stressful- 3,180 replies

Parent visa application timelines (143 & 173)

9 pandemic, we are unable to change the date. The first entry date condition is a legislative requirement and is attached to permanent and provisional visas granted offshore. It is not possible to waive the condition or vary the date, and visa holders who breach the first entry date condition may be subject to visa cancellation. We are not legally able to amend visa conditions and existing notifications to visa holders. However, in the majority of cases, visa holders who are unable to make their first entry by the required date may be allowed to enter Australia at a later date, provided their visa is still valid and there is no other reason to consider cancellation of the visa. This consideration cannot occur until travel plans have been made. When you are able to travel to Australia, you should contact the Department of Home Affairs’ office which granted your visa and you will be assisted with additional advice at that time. Refer to the Home Affairs website for up-to-date contact details for the relevant office responsible for each country. At what point do we get in touch, I have had my flight cancelled for December 29th by emirates, I cannot rebook until January, our entry date is supposed to be January 27th.- 3,180 replies

Yes, cancelled yesterday. flights booked 2 days before the cut off date for the quarantine fee aswell, not sure now i will probably have to pay it.

What about 143 visa holders, as i have just had my flight cancelled by emirates and been told i cannot re book with them until 7 days after my take off date, which is december 29th. My enter by date is january 17th 2021 which is very doubtful i will get a flifgt before that date, due to covid and the 150 passengers restriction.

We have just had our flights booked for December 28th cancelled. when we booked we just made the cut off point to pay for quarantine. does this now mean we have to pay.

Not really familiar with all areas, my son lives in an area called battery hill, close to the sea and shops. I’m sure there are people on here that could tell you more about the area. Good luck

I had blood in my urine, failed the medical and was referred back to my gp. I had to see a kidney specialist on the nhs but the waiting list was too long so I went private, I was given the all clear after numerous tests and went on to pass my medical, all the best to you.

Eye test urine test doctor gets you to strip down to pants and examines your reflexes etc drink plenty of water beforehand, I had a slight trace of blood in urine and so did my wife, we had to drink about 6 cups of water to flush it through, my wife’s 2nd test was clear but mine still had a slight trace, I got referred to a doctor and £2,500 later after going private I was given the all clear and passed the medical.- 3,180 replies
