  1. Where do you stand with costs if you have PR with hospital treatment? Both emergency treatment & Ongoing conditions needing regular reviews by a specialist? My 13yr old son has an eye condition that will need approx reviews every 6months. I don't have my PR yet but just trying to think ahead.
  2. Plenty Solar Powered Lamps In Garden then!! :-/
  3. I think that might be one of the things ill kinda miss ! The UK long Summer Nights! What time does it get very dark in Brisbane? I've read it's approx 6.30 in the summer, is this true?
  4. HPV Virus can cause Cervical cancer, so if they can help prevent HPV being spread then both Girls & Boys should be offered the vaccine. I'm pleased the Gardasil vaccine took over as it protects against more strains of the virus than the cervarix vac did.
  5. Yeah, up to age of 19yrs unless sexually active,(for UK )
  6. It's reading that got me! (Twice) I ran out of time and guessed a few towards the end.. I missed out on half a point..! The 60 mins really does fly, and I really struggle to read through anything when it's boring or I have no knowledge on the subject! I've got my 3rd attempt in just under 2wks! :-/
  7. Can't wait for update! What nursing does your wife do? Hope all goes well..!
  8. Still could be anybody though couldn't it..?
  9. YEP..! I want everything done yesterday..!!! My hubby is do laid back and keeps telling me "it will all come together, don't worry! " :-0
  10. No I never needed to call them. Mind you, the person dealing with my application only ever replied to my emails on a Monday which meant I'd sometimes need to wait a whole wk for a reply! Drove me a bit crazy! Then she went in holiday and someone else took over my application and everything seemed to move quickly then and my eligibility came through! I think it really does just depend who you get! :-) How long have u been waiting?
  11. Yeah AHPRA was a bit of a nightmare, they were very strict on the wording in my letter from secondary school so I had to get another and sent again. Seems like such along time ago now! Lol... :-)
  12. Yeah, I've done it twice all ready and missed by half a point on the reading. I was booked to do it on sat (just gone) but my son had a fall from his scooter and I ended up at urgent care instead. I emailed to explain and asked if I could defer to next test date. I'm hoping they allow me to do that without paying again! :-) Thanks for the advice.. Ill look on that site. :-)
  13. Pretty slow really, need to get Ielts done before I can go any further so I can apply to ANMAC, so everything is at stand still till then. :-/
  14. Yeah, it was Nextstep.com.au Not to be confused with thenextstep.com.au
  15. I had an email this morning from a Recruitment Agency advisor thanking me for my enquiry! (I hadn't sent one) Although I've sent so many in the last few months I could have been sucked In. The email asked me to click on the link to fill in a form just to ensure they had all my correct details.. (I didn't) I googled the companies name and the website that came up was blank with a message "under construction". Just thought I'd give others the heads up! The email looked good and anyone could easily click on the link. I could be wrong about it but something wasnt quite right!
  16. Never heard of them.. Only revaxis & repevax in UK that I know of. Are you not all ready up to date with tet/dip/polio? Surely if you are then a copy of it should be enough rather than giving you a booster you don't need. Well done on your job though! :-)
  17. Some surgeries charge for hep b, some don't, it depends if they buy them in and the cost is reimbursed, where I work it's £15 per injection, and there is a hep b for babies too.. I would advise to get jabs done here anyway. I'm going to for my kids, In the UK hep b is not part of the childhood immunisation schedule but I reckon in the next few years it certainly will be.. There is a risk of hep b infection in UK and abroad so immunisation is better sooner rather than later. Good luck. :-)
  18. :-// that's awful to read! I've heard that the law in on the other side! It's so ridiculous! I will too be renting our house out because with the house prices at min we just wouldn't have any money left over once bill etc were cleared! So it really is our only option for the time being. I know u advise not to rent but would u advise to still go with an estate agent or do the rental agreements etc myself using solicitor to draw a (meaningless) contract up? A good friend of mine might rent our house out but I still want everything done properly.
  19. It's awful waiting.. Good luck though! I've got my 3rd attempt next sat! :-/
  20. Mine took about 6wks, & I sent mine in may 2013 right when the new nurse applications were being done so I was expecting to have a longer wait.
  21. Maybe it is.. They most likely got a hell of a shock at the votes which UKIP did actually get, if they think this is a way of gaining votes back then I think they may need to think again. But yet, I still do not have a problem with the advert. It's not racist and shouldn't be at offensive unless your illegal.
