  1. Yeah, I've been touch with the local high school & primary school re enrolment. The schools have been really helpful. I'm not looking forward to the school fees but I'm gona apply for PR visa ASAP. What does your hubby do?
  2. How old are your kids? I've got 2 boys 13 & 11. Your right about life is for living!!!! :-) x
  3. Me either! Never been! It's just one big adventure!! So I keep telling my kids! Haha
  4. Oh great! Yep, it's very scary!! I've been so excited the last few months and only now is the nerves kicking in!! :-/ Have you been before?
  5. Oh we live in County Durham so not far. I have a job in NSW. Can't wait, what do you do? Or is it your husbands job your going out on? You will be there before you know it!!! :-)
  6. Oh not long then! Yeah I know what you mean, if we left from Newcastle I think we would have both inlaws hanging on to us around our ankles!! Maybe going from heathrow is best!! :-/ Do you live in the north? I've been looking at flights from dates end of nov all through dec. I'm still waiting for visa so could be jan I suppose. I looked again last night & the flights are approx £640 pp. still not too bad but got to get to heathrow first. Haha.
  7. That's not bad, when do you fly? I've been looking at leaving from heathrow as it seems much cheaper than Manchester & Newcastle.
  8. Hi, yeah they need full transcripts, I had just sent the basic transcript at first with the modules etc, but they then requested the full Uni transcripts which have full practical and academic hours. I emailed my Uni and they supplied the necessary transcripts at a cost of £130 I think I paid. :-/ Mind you other nurses on here have not needed to pay. It all depends on the Uni. As for GCSEs, I never sent any of that. I just sent a secondary school letter to confirm I'd attended full time for 5 years and I was taught in English. This was instead of doing the Ielts. Good luck
  9. :-/ You must be really fed up.. Can your employer / sponsor not contact him to find our what is happening?
  10. Oh wow! That's quick! What job do you do? Hope mine is as quick!! I have my medical next Mon.. Congratulations! Where you heading?
  11. I'm positive it's just certified photocopy. I'd not want to send mine either! :-/
  12. Cheapest I've been quoted for family of 4 is £2,495. That is from heathrow with 1 stop at Delhi.
  13. You can check online for a list of notary publics in your area.
  14. Can I just ask how others have or are booking there flights? Are most people booking directly through the airline or through comparisons site? It's a shame if 457 visa holders can't get the extra baggage allowance! Has anyone travelled with Malaysian airlines or India Airlines? :-)
  15. Hi, yeah I've got a job. Just wasting visa. I'm not looking for city life, from what everyone has said it sounds good to me. Since I posted this thread I've been in contact with someone who lived there for 10yrs and has basically commented on the same above. Can't wait to visit hyams beach. :-). Thanks people!
  16. Great, thank you for this info! It's a great help.
  17. How do you know when your employer is confirmed as sponsor? I'm not using MA either. I at first thought that when I received email with the TRN nomination & Sponsor number then that meant the sponsor had been approved. I submitted my visa and payment October 7th & I've got medical on 21st October. So it's still early days for me. My visa status says visa processing commenced. Will it show up on status when I have CO allocated? Or would it usually be after they recurve my medical report?
  18. Fab! Thank u for all of this info!!! I thought I needed to work for my employer up to 2years before they can nominate me for 186 visa. Is it not the case? Thank u again! :-))
  19. Wow! Thank you for explaining all of that.. I've saved this in my notes for future reference! That's a great help. :-)
  20. Thank u! I think the real excitement will start when the flights r booked! :-))
  21. So is it possible to lodge your visa before your ANMAC skill have been assessed?
  22. What a pain! I've got my AHPRA, I've had that since May so I'm going down under on a sponsored visa and applying for PR while there. I'm gona do the modified ANMAC assessment in Australia so no more Ielts! Should be there by Dec! Medical booked for 21st Oct! It's starting to feel real.
