  1. Yes, We are all here to help and I have done my best to do so in the past but I would not want to up load the file to everyone, its a legal document in the sense its a persons evidence of the job they do, what is to stop some people just copying and pasting? Tina
  2. Hi, I got some info from someone who works for the job centre, not sure if anyone else has replied re this issue but he said ( I gave him a run down of your situation) that to get benefits in the UK you would have to pass the habitual residence test. his means you answer a lot of questions and they are sent of some where centrally for a decision. The questions are looking mainly to see what ties you have to the UK and if you will be staying here. Things like are you staying with family, are you children in the UK, do you have a UK property. He actaully completed 3 of these today and said that you would (he thinks) find it difficult to pass the test. Therefore you would not be able to get Jobseekers allowance for a 26 week period. Also he said you should consider your pension and request a pension forcast because again you would not quailify for pension credit (not sure what that is, sorry). He also said that finding work is very difficult at present, again not sure what area you will be moving but this is in Surrey. Sorry this is all a bit negative but at least it gives you some idea of what to expect. Good luck, Tina
  3. In Queensland defo can't have rabbits, I had promised the kids some and then found out they are banned. Looks like you will have to promise her another pet.
  4. Seen them at the O2 London, great show - GO!
  5. Hi LisaIan, Under what stream are you applying? Just wondering as gives us all a better idea of the time line. Tina
  6. Hi, Could you get and AQF III? My OH did not have any formal qualifcations and so we did an AQF III by recognition of prior learning. Im just about to head off to work but if you look through some of my old threads I have posted the web sites which you can find out about it, if you can't find it I will post's the links tonight. Tina
  7. hi hun, Robin sent the details of each of the units he did for the AQF, he could choose some of the units after the compulsory units. Hope that is a help. Tina
  8. Hi, You really need a qualification which is the same as if you took it in Australia. i. validating your qualification/s and assessing the comparability of your qualification with the Australian qualification required for your nominated occupation in Australia ii. validating that your employment claims are genuine, at the required skilled level, and comparable with and relevant to the skill level required for your nominated occupation in Australia. have a qualification comparable to the Australian qualification for your nominated occupation or have completed an apprenticeship comparable to the Australian apprenticeship for your nominated occupatio n Did you attend college part time while doing your apprenticeship? If so this may count. You may need to chat to an agent and/or consider getting a quailifcation like an AQF III or AQF IV. Tina
  9. Hi, It comes on hte letter you get when the TRA acknowledge that thye have recevied your application, as you are using an agent it the letter would have gone to them. So I guess you must keep asking your agent for the number so you can check. Good luck Tina
  10. Look at the table NOONE's have every taken that long. I think you should contact the TRA yourself and confrim when it was sent to them. Your agent does not sound that on the ball, take a breath!!!! What kind of advice is that. Good luck Tina
  11. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/139626-anyone-had-skills-assessed-tra-since-oct-2011-a-31.html might want to join this thread. Look from page 31 I did a table. Are you sure your agent sent it when they said they did? That happened to one of the people on the thread and when they checked with the TRA the agent had taken over 2 months to send it. You should have an answer long ago, I would contact the TRA myself, you will need you referance number and see what day they actally got your application. I bet it was not November! Good Luck Tina
  12. Hi Eve, The AQF can be taken from the UK in Oz via recognition of prior learning (RPL). I don't know or any place in the UK which does it or if this would be OK for TRA but I guessing it should be if is exactly the same as what they do for the AQF in Oz. OH did his AQF via RPL, just really a lot of paper work, job decriptions, photos etc but not too bad, he got through TRA with no issues when alot of others were not and we never used an agent. The only issue is that you are meant to have the work experince after AQF, this did not apply to OH as the is no UK quailifcation however, if there is a quailifcation for floor finisher in the UK and your husband has it then could just apply to TRA. If there is a qualification and your husband has not got it the TRA may not allow the work experince prior to AQF. Hope that makes sense, have a look at http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/139626-anyone-had-skills-assessed-tra-since-oct-2011-a.html later on in thread lots of people with AQF and TRA issues. Don't know anything abour ASA as we never used them and i think (but you may need to re read DICA rules as again this did not applu to us) that once TRA have grant a skills accessment you get 10 points, but again look into work experince and when you get quailication. If you need any more help give me a shout. Tina
  13. thanks all, I was just wondering as an agent said the new ENS 186 were going to take a long time to process and so better off getting a 457 then PR later. Dont want to do this as already spent money on skills accessment and TRA. I know its only been a few weeks but heard from someone else who had put in appication before the July deadline that they did not have a CO as they were already looking at appilcations since 01.07.12 and that this route would be quicker. Hopefully if we get application in the next few weeks and then submit all our stuff wont take too long. if anyone gets more info on time scales will you post? Many thanks Tina x
  14. Dear All, Has anyone applied for an ENS 186 (was the ENS 121)? If so where are you in the process? Just wondering how long its going to take for it to come through if anyone has any ideas please share. Thanks Tina
  15. The issue is not just the pay slips but tax documents. As I am not sure how it works in India so its harder to help however you do not appear to be paying tax as getting cash and even though you have payslips this wont be enough as you need to supply tax documents for yourself. Also if the company was not offically trading then he can't really do a satutory declararation becuase he would be lying saying he was in business. I am sorry to say but you may have to wait 3 years from the companies registration in 2010 when you were getting paid and I hope paying tax so you can give the TRA all the correct documents. Tina
  16. hi im lauren and im 15.im moving in october and i was just looking for someone to talk to about normal stuff. does anyone else feel like they have so much going on at the moment? thanks lauren , family of five
  17. TRA states you have to have been working for the last 3 years, 'for at least three years, including 12 months in the last two years'. have you got pay slips, P60's (tax documents) for this period? If you can prove you were paid illegally then that should help. Was your employer trading illegally? If so then I am not sure there will be a way around this issue, if they were not a registered company then the TRA wont accept that you have worked there for the last 3 years. Im guessing they can checked when companies become registered as they appear to know yours was not. Sorry cant be more helpful but I think (someone correct me if not) from looking at the TRA guidelines that the company must be offical before the commencement of years which can be counted towards the TRA eligibility, plainly put you can't count years worked if the complany was not in (offical) existents. Good luck Tina
  18. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/content/8-emigrating-checklist-departure.html I saved this before, hope it helps. Tina
  19. Hi tickergirl, Not done it myswelf but have read on here that you need to supply evisience that the move will be better for your child, show that you knwo the area schools, clubs, houses, costing of living etc. You have to present detailed info all all these. There have been some on here who have gone through court this thread should get you started. http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/news-chat-dilemmas/48217-leave-remove-child-jurisdiction-can-anyone-help.html Good Luck tina
  20. Hi Jamie, Remember you only have to certify certain docs, but should include lots more see 2.5.3 http://www.deewr.gov.au/Skills/Programs/SkillsAssess/TRA/residenceVisa/Skilled/Documents/MigrationSkillsGuidelines.pdf. The main thing they seem to fail people on is either lack of evidence of employment payslips etc and daily duties description. Make sure you really give a full break down of everything you do, just like you are telling someone who has never done the job before and also make sure your current employer backs this up. Good luck tina
  21. Sorry guys you only get a refund if you request a review and they change the outcome. Good luck this time.
  22. Sent 8 weeks of payslips and 10 years worth P60's and letter from employer.
  23.
