haha~~~let's wait together~~

btw~~ I don't even know whether I have a CO or not~~~b~a~s~t~a~r~d!!

Ugh how annoying!! The waiting is horrible. I got a CO and then she went on leave for a month, I was gutted - it was like they dangled the carrot in front of my face and then snatched it away lol. I just keep trying to remember it'll all be worth it the second I get approved.

Hello Lenak29, my application was sent to Perth office too for whatever reason, it seems they can do that although we applied in Sydney. As for my application, CO has contacted my MA and has requested for some additional documents for my nomination , which is all submitted now. She/he on leave until next week so waiting now just waiting for her/him to get back to work and decide.

Also before my MA heard from CO, I had sent an email to nsw.pse@immi.gov.au address requesting for an update, which was eventually replied by one of the admin persons with my CO name and contact details which was different to CO who eventually is handling my case but my MA informed that one could have different COs for nomination and visa approval....whatever it is, its worth writing on above email address requesting an update I think.

Hope you hear from CO soon.

Does anyone know of the visa processing time frame these days? Last chart i saw posted said they were onto cases from end of june, which is PAST my date but i still havent heard from a CO or anything and neither has my employer.

I am going on 7 months now and dont have any information about my case other than that parramatta office didnt want to deal with it and sent it to perth office. I dont know if it was put on top or bottom of the pile when that happend.

Well now my MA finally recieved this from my CO.... Bit weird but atleast some movement.... CO email below here but i dnt know wat xactly he wants to tell us.

Thank you for the inquiries into the progress of your clients nomination and visa application regarding $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ As I previously advised, various departmental processing and checks may be undertaken prior to the nomination and visa decision.

Although the application was lodged by you as ‘Decision Ready’ we must ensure that all applications meet the mandatory requirements for approval and this is taking longer than service standards. I will be continuing to work on your clients application and I will be sending you a separate email concerning some additional information I require the from nominator – $$$$$$

Really depressed today and needed a bit of comfort if anyone can help. I got employer nomination on 30 Nov, CO allocated same day, she went on leave and returns on 14 Jan, so I KNOW my PR will be approved any day now but my workplace is truly unbearable for me. We have a new Manager and he is the nastiest piece of work I think I've ever met. He's rude, condescending, and just plain treats everyone like children. Redundancies are being made in the company, thankfully we've only had one in my office but I am honestly dying to get my PR and have the freedom to just be stress free and happy. I can barely stand to get up in the mornings knowing I have to go to that horrible place.

The stress pushed me over the edge today and I had a huge crying fit to my fiancee, I feel terrible but it's just too much at the moment. Has anyone else waiting for their PR had the extra experience of a declining work environment as well? It's honestly one of the most isolating, horrible feelings....

Sorry for venting but I am in a hole today :(

I have been in that shoe before - my HR behaves like a thug and think he can fire anyone he likes and my GM basically thinks the HR guy is always right. I surprised them when my wife gotta job in Sydney with 457 sponsor - cos they thought i will be their slave forever.

Anyway, the good news for you - the PR approval is matter of time. If I were you, I will do anything he/she ask till PR approval. Once you got the approval, (drum roll) do the same I did - send your resignation letter in any fashion you like (note you should not complain abt the company in resignation letter) so I wrote a 1 sentence resign letter to piss them off. And then.....till your last day at work....find job online in the office. Use company phone/copier/stationary all that **** for the job applications - who cares. If you got the job before your last day in that company, dont let them know whr you going - Id lie to them (not formally) im going to a place they familiar.

Revenge best served cold !

haha mahisasura I like your style!! :) He humiliated me yesterday and treated me like crap in front of the entire office for NO reason, when I was actually trying to be helpful to him, and I was so angry and upset. I thought about confronting him today but no, it's best to do as you said and just put up and shut up until I'm a PR.

I came in today with puffy eyes from crying and he asked me if I was tired and I flatly said "no" and I think he somewhat got the message because he is tip toeing around me today. But, I guess one of my added stresses is: if you resign the same day as you get your PR, is it *likely* the company will try to litigate me or claim fraud?? I did not use them to get my PR, I genuinely loved my job 8 months ago but things change, and I DO want to resign as soon as I get my PR. But, I work for an international organisation and we have a Migration Officer working for us who helped me put my application together. She's not a migration agent as such but she is someone the company employs as a specialist and if I resign the same day I get my PR I am sure she will raise an eyebrow. I don't know if the company would bother trying to really stick it to me by taking it to court but would they have a case against me?? As I said, I did not de-fraud them, I simply became very unhappy at a very inconvenient time....

I dont think so there is any legal obligation for you to stay with your sponsor. Ive been headhunted few occasions and i told them im waiting for my PR approvals. I might not resign the same day but wait till a good offer land on my lap. Love the job not the company !

http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/ens/obligations.htm

If you think your sponsor might expecting some loyalty from you, then you should speak UP against that bastard or talk to your HR (ONLY after your PR approvals). Nowadays theres hell of a way to bring this ppl down...just record the conversation and send to HR as complaint if they dont act then excalate to authority. Humiliating is unacceptable and we should teach this people that we are not their slave.

Good luck !

So right, no one has the right to treat anyone like this. I decided to ask our Risk Manager, he is a man who I trust and who knows that I'm unhappy. He told me that the company would try to recoup the $3,600 cost but otherwise they can't/wouldn't do anything. I would rather they deduct the $$ from my final pay than stay here a minute longer than I have to. And you're right, after I get my PR I WILL be discussing things with HR. Thanks for your support!

Hi Miss direction,

When i was initially researching the PR through employer nomination I read that the government has the right to revoke PR if they feel that the company was "used" to get PR. Don't know how often this has actually happened, but just know that it might happen. Some reasons that they considered "fair reasons" to leave the job soon after the PR is granted, is lay off (and there were a few other reasons which i can't remember).

If you are tight with anyone at the company, maybe you can get them to make you redundant, that would be safe for you.

Thanks for all your comments and support guys! Unfortunately no, there is no union at my place of work. However, I work in HR and Recruitment so it was easy to do a bit of research because we sponsor other staff for the same visas. I asked our legal officer who I trust completely and he found out that if I leave within 12 months, I just need to pay back the visa fee. That's fine with me. I would so much rather be happy. Otherwise, the company wouldn't do anything - I did not use them to get my visa and there is very strong evidence that my workplace deteriorated after I applied so I doubt they'd even try but apparently they've had it happen before (someone quit 1 day after obtaining PR) and they just want $$ back and let you go on your way.

My CO comes back from leave on Monday - I'm literally counting the minutes now until I am granted freedom from bullying, stress, and uncertainty.

I hope your CO contacts you ASAP with the good news, your workplace sounds like hell to be in, rest of us should be thankful that we have decent place of work. I can't imagine putting up with so much stress and uncalled humilation on everyday basis.

As you guys aware my nomination approved 2 months ago and today we have sent all outstanding items (wife xray, company letters and baby passport/b.cert) as per requested by CO. The baby will be added into current visa 457 first before include into 856 application.

Anyone know how long this will take ?

Hi Everyone.

Heres a summary of where we are at...

We submitted Nomination & ENS application together non DR, Parramatta office June 20th 2012 - the week before Xmas we were contacted by case officer - basically the day we lodge application was 6 days less of meeting our 2 year requirement on 457 - so we were advised to withdraw case, which we did & lost $3k. The case officer kindly posted us our original documents so we can start again.

My question is -

what are the processing times for DR Nominations & ENS application?

Thank you -

Happy 2013 !!!!

Hi Mojacar, considering COs are still working on the June workflow~~ I guess it possible takes another 5-7 months.

Mojacar - I'm sorry to hear you have to start over. It's frustrating I'm sure. I am thinking of you and hope it doesn't take too long!

Does anyone know how long it normally takes between the employer nomination being approved and the final visa approval? I've been waiting nearly 2 months now since my employer nomination was approved and I reckon that's a long time - I am going to call the DIAC hotline again tomorrow since I can't get on to my CO. I just feel like something must be off...
