I would have preferred to have a baby in the UK and apply for baby visa later. It might be a big ask to move your base when you are having a baby. On the conditions I am not sure what the implications are if you have never worked in Australia, I doubt if there is any. Also if you enter Australia within your PR visa is valid date, it should be ok, I think.

Baby doesn't automatically get residency like in the US even if born in Australia to non permanent resident or non australian passport holder parents.
