i have a similar situation. My nomination is approved but my visa application will be refused as i did not have a skill assessment at the time of the application. Immi advised they will refuse my visa.

just wanting to know, can i re-apply the visa again?

Can i use my existing approved nomination and re-apply ( nomination is still valid approved 18/04/19)

my company is supporting this. just need you views will there be any drama is i re-apply using existing approved nomination? or will i have to apply the nomination again ?

Hey Ratu,

The nomination is valid for 6 months so yes you can apply for the visa using the existing nomination approval. Rather than waiting for your visa to be refused you can withdraw your application and re apply.

I have a child who is turning 18 years in June this year. Does anyone know what consequences this may have on the visa application (assuming we don't get it by then).

I do not have an MA to ask cause I have applied for the visa on my own.

If your child turns 18 that's no problem, I had the same issue.

Hi all,

Just sharing a point of view, which it could be totally wrong, just based in some research and also the current approvals.

It seems to me that everyone who applied before March/2018 and haven't got the nomination approved will have to wait for the new financial year or perhaps for the new government....  the reason for that is because the majority that is waiting from before March/2018 doesn't have the profession included in the current list.

In the other hand they need to approve their "target" for this financial year, so they are approving everything that they can easily to reach that.

Does anyone have the same feeling? 😕

Finalised!!! Happy Thursday! 😄

Sent an email last night to nsw.pse (the account we received the s56 request from) advising of travel plans for June and asked that if possible our case could be looked at before then. Absolutely no idea if that was the cause for the Grant this morning, but I definitely won't lose sleep over it 😄

Hang in there guys, and if you've uploaded the requested information why not drop them a reply. It can't hurt.

Peace!

You might be right, who knows..

But recently I joined a few groups on Facebook where people are sharing their timelines and I saw a few posts with the grants from people who applied in 2017.

Yes they have. I came across one a couple weeks ago and it was in line with other waiting times (about 12 months). I think it’s all very random and it doesn’t make sense to make this kind of speculations.

Yes there's been a change in the pattern in recent times. If I’m not mistaken that was explained a few pages ago by some new guidelines that were issued. But to be honest I don’t remember the source of those guidelines

The thing is that basically we have done what we had to do with our application submission, and now we just gotta wait.. There’s literally nothing we can do and speculations out of thin air are not going to change anything or help anyone.

My visa was approved and Marketing Specialists were removed from the list.

@tuti - looking at the spreadsheet and in recent weeks there has been Feb 2018 approvals and a couple from 2017.

It's a mind field trying to work out what way they are processing the visas - clearly no set order!

Looks like SAF levy is a factor as post SAF levy (applicants after 12/08/2018) are getting approved very quick.

I’ve been waiting for 45 days now since nomination approved and documents requested.

Does anyone have experience on how long it takes DoHA to verify NZ police certificates with MOJ?

Hi @Fung, I have been waiting for 35 days since my Nomination approval. I hold a NZ PR (not citizenship).

What do you mean by "how long it takes DoHA to verify NZ police certificates with MOJ"?

Thanks a lot Eva. Just another question, i was advised my case will be reviewed on the 6th of June and if still not withdrawn it will be refused. the question is i have withdrawn and re-applied. When do you think this will be processed? i am sure it will not take much longer right? any approximate time frame as this is a re-application. i think it will be approved on the 6th June as the new application will be linked to the nomination right?

It will be treated as a new application, mine took 12 months

Yes - you must withdraw your application - do not let it go to refusal!

Withdraw your application and re-apply ensuring that your still within the 6 months of nomination approval.

No one can advise on processing times....
