CO requested updated AFP for my self and My wife even though she is not included in the application. Status is still received in the IMMI.I wonder why they even ask to update AFP because if they want they could get it but any we live the whinging for another place and time.

Hi there I am still waiting from March 18, but my nomination was approved last week. My advice is this experience is like an ocean rafting, no matter what your feelings are there is nothing you can do to change things. The best thing you can do is distract yourself so you do think about it too much and take comfort in the fact that there are some people who have been waiting longer than you. My Mantra is no matter how dark the night can be the sun will always rise the next day, clouds might obstruct us but the sun is still shining. No matter how long the PR takes your life is still shining and you will achieve your dreams.

My Nomination was approved yesterday and now waiting for the golden email. It's a huge relief because MA had put a wrong occupation in the nomination application. I only picked it last week when CO had indicated I was not meeting one of the caveats on my occupation. The waiting continues with renewed hope.

Just out of interest how long have you been waiting for the decision? MA was telling it should be a quick fix, not sure if it was just to calm me down.

Guys got glitchy on my application, MA had submitted a nomination with a wrong occupation. Does that mean I am going back in the queue because I have been waiting for 12 for the nomination? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I think the advise is correct because the guidance for functional says "overall band score" . However to be on the safe side the person might just try and give another go because it might be cheaper to retake the test than to pay the additional amount.

I think secondary applicant requires only functional English which is 30 for PTE while primary requires Competent (or higher) which will be 50 for PTE

@Siddu Once you lodge your PR application you immediately qualify for medicare and can apply it the same day all you need to show is evidence of submission of application you will have medical from then going forward on a temporary card which is valid for one year and can be renewed. If you are over 31 or has an existing medical condition you need to keep your private insurance.The reason being anyone who is over 31 and does not have private insurance will attract medical loading provided their income is more than 90K per year effectively you will pay more tax. If you have an existing medical condition it not wise to cancel because should your PR not go through you will have to go through another waiting period when you rejoin. Another thing is the private cover for 457 if different to the cover for people who have medicare . The one for 457 has better benefits .
