  1. Hi Guys, I'm about to apply for the citizenship and was wondering what kind of documents have you attached? Have you attached any character reference letters, etc? Thank you! Nat
  2. Happy Monday everyone We just received our visa It was our 3rd attempt for 186 and we finally got it. What a great Christmas gift Good luck everyone! All details in the signature.
  3. I've noticed it's quite common recently that they are not assessing nomination and visa at the same time. I've got my nomination approved a week ago and no news/requested documents for a visa :).
  4. Hi All! My visa nomination just got approved! After 2 declined nominations, moving interstate to change the employer, we are half way through! I keep my fingers cross for everyone here, and remember, never lose hope and fight for it! Cheers Nat
  5. And here I go again! Back in the game for the 3rd time Nomination applied: 05/08/2019 Visa Applied: 07/08/2019 Occupation: Software Engineer
  6. Hey Guys Sorry for the out of topic but if you know the company that is looking for an amazing Software Engineer, specifically iOS Developer with 5+ years of experience, please let me know! Cheers and congratulations for everyone that got their visas
  7. Hi, We decided not to appeal as it would have critical consequences and also the chances to win are minimal. I can't apply for 189 as a primary applicant, i'm way too young to have the experience, will be graduating this year and my occupation is not on the list (I work in IT but studying Marketing). The action plan is to find the employer that is willing to sponsor us on 186 (we are on a good way) and in the meantime my partner will be taking IELTS (min. 7.0) to get more points for 190 visa and we will apply in September as we need more experience. Fortunately, I don't need to take IELTS or PTE again as I was doing a Bachelor Degree on Macquarie Uni for the last 2 years.
  8. He actually did pay for it, and he's keen to cover all costs. We weren't on 457 visa, we came to Australia on 476 visa and then, after 1.5 year, applied for 186 DE.
  9. Well, that's a good question. As far as I know, the start up is supported by the government as they are working on the common project so they know some people. They can't ensure us that we will get a PR within a month so our priority now is to find another employer and that's what we're focusing on.
  10. Hi, Sorry, I should probably quote my previous post. In short, employer's nomination has been refused and we wanted to withdraw the application. They want to appeal but our migration agent says there is a vary small chance to win an appeal and tbh I don't have nerves to wait another god knows how many months. We found out that if the appeal is being refused as well, you can't apply for any other visa being onshore -> you need to leave and apply offshore. The question is - what are other consequences of appeal being rejected?
  11. Heyy, It is our second option, but my partner would have to pass IELTS on like 8.0 (?) to have enough points. If 186 will completely fail, then we will try to go on 189
  12. Hey hey, So I have a situation here... Basically, my partner's employer doesn't want to let him go and he's ready to fight and appeal. Our migration agent says that it doesn't make sense because the chances are super low. My partner said to the boss that if they want to keep him, they literally have one month to get him a PR as he already resigned. The boss says that they will make the application being fast-tracked (don't ask me why would we fit in in being fast-tracked as I can't find any reasonable explanation) and he will get support. They have a meeting today with another migration agent. Anyway, did anyone hear about the consequences and risks when the appeal is being rejected? We know we would have to leave Australia to apply for another visa as you can't do it onshore, is there anything else? Thanks in advance!
  13. Just to clear some things out - I'm a secondary applicant, my partner is the one who got sponsored. I would say that all experienced software engineers earn around $100k so that's not too high. I think that immigration don't take into the consideration money from investors. Simply, annual turnover needs to be in a good place. I need to stay in Australia to graduate as I already have spent thousands of dollars on Uni fees and I have just one semester left. We'll see how it goes and if we won't find anyone to sponsor us, then we will go somewhere else:) Thanks!
  14. Hi, They are actually not even in debt. They had a massive investment from the investors and they were able to pay the salaries from product sales. I don't want to appeal because it just takes too much time, having in mind the current processing times + they got refused twice, chances are extremely low. If we won't find the employer that is willing to sponsor, I'll apply for student visa as I still have Uni till December 19.
  15. Hi Guys, sadly I want to share bad news with you. My nomination has been refused yesterday. The reason was exactly the same as the first time - the company is not able to pay the salary for the next 2 years. I have to admit, I expected that but I had hope because financials looks waaaay better now than it was before. Our decision is to withdraw and to find another employer asap. Cheers, Nat
  16. Hi there, Please check our spreadsheet, which is updated daily, where you can find who and when got the visa recently :). https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1INy6sxuUIisgLOT7CcskWLjQjHV_6yVvUBRHceWE_a0/edit#gid=1377925411 Cheers
  17. I wouldn't say so, there are still quite a few engineers that are still waiting. Also, on this forum, we have seen a few cases where cooks were approved within the reasonable timeline so it's not a rule of thumb that no one cares about this occupation. I suggest to sit tight, and as Hex always says: expect the worst, hope for the best. Especially that you only applied 6 months ago! Cheers.
  18. Hi, I just called DOHA to ask and maybe get some update for my application as I'm getting worried. They told me that the status is active but they couldn't explain what does it mean because it would be the protocol breach? Have anyone heard anything about this status?
  19. You might be right, who knows.. But recently I joined a few groups on Facebook where people are sharing their timelines and I saw a few posts with the grants from people who applied in 2017.
  20. Hi there I am waiting from June, stream DE. I think that there are more TRT applications processed now based on this forum's spreadsheet and Facebook groups
  21. For this kind of questions, it is worth to check the spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1INy6sxuUIisgLOT7CcskWLjQjHV_6yVvUBRHceWE_a0/edit#gid=737425834 It will save us a space on the page
  22. Not for immigration purposes if you are applying as a secondary applicant... It has been already explained a few pages back.
  23. Based on our spreadsheet, which I try to keep updated, they are processing TRT May/June. For the applications lodged after 12/08, you're right, there is no visible pattern there. I heard the rumour recently that immigration outsources a company to process these but who knows if that's true Keep positive!:)
