Never lived there but I like Bristol. Had a nice holiday there.

Bristol is nice but it's got the worst traffic congestion in England, spoils it for me.

www.google.co.uk/search?q=view+from+from+whiteleaf+cross&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:%7Breferrer:source?%7D&rlz=1I7DSGP_enGB467&tbm=isch&tbo=u&

I vote for the Chilterns, i have attached some views of the local landmark which is Whiteleaf Cross just up the road from me and some other local photos i found on the net, it even had some photos of 2 of my locals :cute:, if you look closely you will even see a photo of Chequers.

Nice enough in Surrey. Must be as people seem to want to pay so much to bloody live here.

You will pay a premium to live anywhere that you can get to the City in less that an hour, we are 40 minutes from London on the train and it deffo pushes the prices up.

West Lothian - rural towns and villages, country parks, castles, lochs and all within a half hour of Edinburgh - average house price £133k, average salary about £30k. Massive quality of life.

Not living there myself but planning to.
