  1. I think most people accept the reality that if someone dies in police custody, then there is a good chance that they have a criminal record. But I would appreciate it if you could clarify what you are trying to say. Because it sounds like you are saying that when the police arrest someone, they should check prior convictions. If they have a clean sheet, then they should treat them nicely. Otherwise, then it's ok for them to kneel on their necks. Is this what you are saying? Some black lives matter more than others?
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-52869060 Time for another cull? Maybe bring the numbers down to safer levels? Maybe it's time to start bringing in cow nets to enable people to walk safely?

How is Keir Starmer doing so far?

    What happened to her?

How is Trump doing so far?

But it's not an organisation. It's a concept. How do you outlaw a concept?
  5. You make a lot of claims which you have not backed up. Can you please post a link where it says kneeling on the neck is acceptable, because there are heaps saying it is not.
  6. How long do you suggest they wait to let the system deal with it? They have been lynching black people for quite some time. Another twenty thirty years? When do you suggest the police stop killing black people?
  7. Perhaps they could try protesting by peaceful means? Maybe kneeling during the national anthem? Oh damn!

Lockdown, but don't lockdown. Do you work for Boris?
  9. You seem to have an issue with debt, and it is something you should deal with. There's no problem with debt as long as it is used to invest wisely. Debt is a great facilitator for growth. Without debt we would be much poorer. You should start studying economics to work out how the world you live in works. You are limiting yourself by not doing so.

Do you think they should delay brexit? Doesn't look like they will get an agreement, and a hard brexit will compound the recession. Obviously that will cause more domestic abuse and suicides, austerity will cause more cancer deaths. Seems like a good idea to me.

    The "New Normal"

Many of the elderly of our world suffered through many years of war and extreme hardship for us to have the wealth and freedom that we cherish so much. They devoted their lives for us and many sacrificed their lives for us. I really don't think it's too much for us to restrict some of that hard won freedom and give back a little bit of that wealth in order to protect those people. We're not talking total lockdown for the next two years. But we are talking about periodic lockdown, and reduced production due to greater safety needs. I really don't think it's a big ask.

Even if you get a vaccine, if you vaccinate a million Americans a day, it will take a year to vaccinate the USA.

  15. It's almost like the deaths from domestic abuse and mental illness caused by the Brexit recession don't matter?

Ten years of Tory improvement? How's that working out for you?
  17. I do find it interesting that when asked about the recession caused by brexit, that's ok, because we'll take a hit and bounce back stronger. But when asked about the recession caused by cv19, then that is a very different matter. I'm not sure why.
  18. We've always got wine from outside the EU. A lot of it from Australia, Chile, South Africa.

    Kim Jong Un

I imagine that information is very valuable. If someone is consolidating their power and Kim is still alive, that would be a dangerous thing. But if you had knowledge of his death, then you could prepare with abandon. I suspect we will find out in a week or two. Hopefully the new leader will take over quickly. A power struggle now, with the world dealing with cv19 would not be desirable.

I don't think happiness and money are necessarily related. Are happiness and freedom related? Does that mean that everyone's pet dog is unhappy? Equality is a great facilitator of happiness. People are pretty equal in North Korea. But I don't think I would choose to live there. If I had to live in a communist regime, I'd probably pick Cuba.

You don't need to destroy something to improve it. But it does help to understand it. The problems arise when those making the changes don't trust those who understand. Often this is warranted. Everyone has an agenda, and people protect their own. I've worked for a lot of large companies, and I wouldn't describe any of them as efficient. I've seen situations where companies have paid people to do nothing. I had a job with Norwich union where I was employed for three months but there was no job to do. Breaking the NHS down into smaller sized easily managed privatised chunks may seem appealing. But the reality won't be any different. Smaller chunks don't help, as you can no longer manage as a whole. It's very similar to the federal state argument they are having in the USA with their approach to CV19. The states are more efficient, and they are more relevant as they know what they want. But the fed has the organisation and the buying power. Despite its efficiency problems, the NHS does deliver good value for money. The trick is to find countries that are doing better and do what they are doing. Unfortunately, many of them are in Europe, and we seem to be looking away from Europe. The USA certainly isn't a role model for health care. CV19 has certainly shown us that.
