    Not the same for 491 though. It has same fees as 189/190

    So what is your opinion, do you think the 491 will be swamped with applications? I wouldn’t say so as the eligibility for 491 is tough. Most states you need a job offer for. QLD needs 3 years experience but are giving priority to onshore etc

    The publish takes a while to update.. there’s another forum where individuals physically copy their Invitations down for people to see.. only 95/100 got invited. Same mate.. I’d never get to 95. I think it’s the end of 189

    I’ve submitted too but haven’t got it yet (QLD). That 12-14 weeks is or DOHA to issue the visa and not for the state to invite. Invitation could be quick or could take months.. who knows?

    A friend of mine went through the entire process of 190 with Victoria to be rejected at the last minute. He was a geography teacher and they said there wasn’t demand for him in the end. Heartbreaking to see

    Hey all, I live in Mackay.. moved here a few months ago. What is the norm for Christmas Day? I was thinking driving to Airlie beach and take a picnic or something? I’m on my own.. guy in late 20’s. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated

    That’s correct. You have to commit to the state for 3 years too. Then you’ll get 191 if you meet the criteria.

    Look at the 482 visa.. get over here ASAP then move over to the new visa! I can easily help you with this

    I really think you should look at a temporary visa and then get the Australian experience then transition over. Onshore applicants are always favoured and processed faster due to visa’s running out etc

    Hey. Its quite a personal letter, only you really know the reasons why you went to move there. Start with a brief paragraph on why you want to migrate/move to the NT Tell them what you like about the area Weather and how it suits you - boiling hot Economy, general statistics Employment prospects for you, find a list of the latest jobs on seek.com and show them that you know work is out there for you People and education Culture Sports & activities Cost of living and accommodation - Tell them which suburbs you are considering Transport - If you will have your own car or use public transport

    I wear shorts and t shirt to school. Sometimes if I’m in a meeting I’ll upgrade to boat shoes

    There’s a huge shortage - mainly science and maths. However, there’s an influx of beginning teachers over here and it’s not helping the situation at all.. I spend at least 3 hours a day coaching beginning teachers (they keep me asking me stuff)

    It’s the experience you’re lacking unfortunately. QLD you need 3 years experience for 491 and 5 years for 190 NSW you need 3 - 5 years for 190 and to have lived/worked in NSW for 1 year prior to getting the visa. 491 you need a job offer WA: teachers not currently on the list ACT: Need to be living and working in the ACT OR a job offer. Why not go down the 482 route, gain more experience whilst here in Australia and transfer over to the 491? You’ll meet the criteria of experience/living here etc Family sponsor stream is so difficult, you’ll be waiting ages!!

    Hey Eddie, Looking at around 3.5 months. However, they seem to be prioritizing 491 at the moment so that could be longer!

    You essentially need to be employed within the 60 days - so yeah unfortunately! What's your job?
