  1. Its 2 years and you have to be from a WTO country or the worker you nominate is a citizen/national of China, Japan or Thailand, or is a citizen/national/permanent resident of Chile, South Korea, New Zealand or Singapore
  2. I have to disagree with Verystormy on this one.. Please check this with a Registered MA, however I have been previously advised by a Immigration agent that in this scenario ONLY, you are permitted to continue to work for your former employer to work any notice period that was in your original contract of employment. Condition 8107 does not apply in that Scenario only. I couldn't find any official info but http://myaccessaustralia.com/i-need-to-leave-my-employer-what-is-going-to-happen/ http://taxinsights.ey.com/archive/archive-news/australia-implements-changes-to-457-visa-termination-regulations.aspx Regards Sam
  3. I am sure someone with a bit more knowledge on this may pop in tomorrow and help further, however I don't see how uploading old documents that relate to a different company ABN & Name would have helped. - However I would love to be told otherwise. I sympathise with your husband's ill health, I hope one of the forums MA will pop in tomorrow and give you some more accurate advice rather then my own opinion ? All the best,
  4. So you applied and was granted a visa under the NEW ABN and NEW Company Name? If so, then I don't really think it matters how many years the company has been trading in a old name/abn if it had a new ABN and Name then it's surely classed as a new business, especially if one of the directors have changed. With that said above then 1.5 Years visa time is correct, Well I assume the CO at the time used their discretion for that duration. Also, You have known for the last 15 months your visa has only been valid for 1.5 years and now you want to hassle the MA for errors that may or may not have done over a year ago. I would personally think about moving forward than worrying about what happened in the past. Just my 2 cents. ?
  5. According to the 457 automatic email, they should be auto-allocated to a CO within 2 days - Somethings doesn't seem right in your case
  6. It's crazy that a nomination expires purely because of delays in the department assessing the visa application. If processing of such visa takes longer than 12 months then a nomination should be valid "Until linked visa is decided" I honestly don't know what to suggest, are you on a visa still that you can re-lodge a TSS?
  7. Well the Pound/Aud had a hit today. Was hoping the news would be better and the BoE would rasie the rates in May would bring the Pound higher but looks like we may go down to lows 1.80 now.
  8. Just to clarify, this is for the main applicant. if the person who needs a IELTS is a secondary applicant then I beleive this could be met afterwards. There has been another similar post recently that a MA applied too that may be of some help.
  9. Then I am sure you'll be fine.. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge will post tomorrow with some advice ;-) Good Luck
  10. O I can't' answer that. How long have you been married? If it was around the time of the visa application Immi may be concerned the marriage was purely to secure her a visa, however if its been X Years and everything else is in check then maybe get a MA to take a look at the request and advise.
  11. If you are married surely you have mortgage, rental agreements? Bills? Photos together? insurance policies? bank transfers to each accounts for bills shopping etc if you dont have joint account? Phone bills with itemised billing of texts / calls (I know this is oldskool but you never know) Car paperwork, statements from friends. Opening a Joint account Post Request from a CO is Moo. and may look like you are trying to fudge something. I don't actually know the requirement to add or include a partner on that visa, but surely if its genuine you will have the evidence to support it.
  12. You must meet that requirement at time of application. Either a passport from a particular country or the IELTS pass. That info was taken from the ENS 186 checklist.
  13. 441 Days on average Your Visa will soon be refused too.
  14. Nomination and Visa refusal ? Or just visa refusal?
  15. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but your husbands conviction and health issues may be mean he will not be able to obtain a PR Visa. You would need a MA and a strategy.. There is a few on here that probably do have such experience. What was your husbands sentence?
  16. You should never assume ;-) I wouldnt say paradise, but It does have some lovely places... and some not so nice ;-0
  17. If you land in Perth you holiday in Bali and No where else ;-)
  18. Medicare is 2% of your annual salary its charge at tax return time and depending on how you are paid and what how the tax is taken you may not notice it, i.e a small tax refund and medicare will swallow that up. (Or maybe not) You will also pay a LEVY Surcharge too if your salary is higher.. I am single and have no children at home or on my medicare so, I really wouldn't know if thats makes a difference, sorry. https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Medicare-levy/ However, My advice if to always find a Bulk Billing Doctor. Doctors who get medicare rebate and charge $80+ for a 10 minute appointment do not care about your well being, they care about their bank balance.. I may be biased but I have experienced a far superior service at Bulk Billed practices.
  19. I can't help with exact costs but: Gas is cheap but it's used less over hear electricity is expensive and used more could easily be $500++ a month if you have aircon on in summer Council Tax =$0 the owner pays it in WA Water Rates = $0 you pay usage only so a bill for 5 could be around $50/60 a bill Internet is $69-$79 a month Foxtel is $35-$199 depending on your options Fully comp car insurance is around $500-700 a year 25k car no claims / garaged 15k kms a year
  20. I think its a little different. If you are waiting on the outcome of a protection/ refugee / asylum visa you may be classed as domestic student on a BVA, you will need to show proof when enrolling. (State depending, not sure about qld) If you are awaiting an outcome on any other type of visa, you will be classed as COMMERCIAL not international, commercial rates from what i remember are slightly cheaper than international rates. edit changed.
  21. Good Luck, I hope it works out for you, shame about the 457 ;-)
  22. It's a bet alright. Just off topic, how long has your nomination/visa appeal been with the AAT?
  23. Well if that's what your agent said then the choice to do that is up to you. I am worried tho, if your 457 visa has also been refused and you are not appealing it, then surely that classed as a refusal and a ban will apply? I don't think anyone on here can give you the answers you need unfortunately '=(
  24. Well I can think of 2 potential issues. 1 - You get refused on re-entry as you are not a genuine tourist + 3 year ban 2 - You get NFS on your Visa and unable to apply for a Partner visa anyway.
  25. It's pretty tough in WA at the moment especially for tradies, for work it could easily take 6-8 months to find employment. If you arrive on a WHV then maybe settle in one of the bigger cities and travel to other places you may like to settle if PR works out for you. Someone above said if you have some $$$ now, then it would be a better plan to start a more Permanent visa now, because Australia can very quickly eat up your savings ;-) Good Luck with your adventure.
