  1. Am I right in thinking that there should be another invitation round on 1st Nov. The border website has not released the results from the 18th October one and not showing the next rounds yet? normally they are up by now aren't they?
  2. Hi I have checked the WA site and as UK full licence holder I will only need the eye sight check.
  3. This is what we were doing. I just graduated last month but we seemed to always be waiting on something. We now have EOI in with 60 points but will update to 65 as soon as my skills assessment comes. I have fast tracked so they guarantee for it to be passed to CO for assessment within 15 working days and should be decision ready so hopefully have result within another week after that.
  4. Can you check the online visa system, not sure what it's called.
  5. I have just submitted my skills assessment as partner to help get extra 5 points in hope it means we can reduce wait for invite. It should be complete within approx 4 weeks as I have paid for fast track. Fingers crossed.
  6. Has anyone paid for an engineers australia skills assessment with Australian bank account Bpay. Do you still qualify for the fee without GST as your still applying from overseas?
  7. We need to wait and see what this round brings. Hopefully should start to see some 60 point invites.
  8. Which date is that for? I can see the 189 visa have been invited upto EOI effective date 13th September with 65 points but I can't find any other dates.
  9. Hi there, we have finally submitted our EOI and now moving to the next stage of trying to get all the required documents ready, scanned in etc to submit when the invite comes. I have searched the forums and there are a few good bits about what is needed but can anyone point me to a good list I may not have found. I have made my own list with things like passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, pay slips, p60's, contracts, skills assessment, qualifications, form 80, form 1221, statement of service, professional referances, ahphra registration, NMC registration, IELTS, etc what sort of evidence is normally required for proof of relationship etc other then marriage certificate? regards steve
  10. I have now found the answer to my own question in case anyone is after the same information. The minimum is 96dpi and 60 documents can be uploaded.

    EOI updates

The only reason I am considering it is it would be with Engineers Australia who offer a fast track service where its passed to CO within 15 working days and would be a straight forward Washington accord application so there's no report or portfolio etc to review its purely based off accredited qualification.
  12. do you mean form 1399 and although they can ask for it the border website does not list it as a normal additional info form.

    EOI updates

Thanks that's what I was thinking, I think they will start to invite some 60 pointers on the next round as they got upto 13/09 Effective date on last round. But im assuming it will then start looking at 60 pointers from 21st June and need to catch up. I think the best option for me is to get my skills assessed also to get her extra 5 partner points to be in with a chance of invite sooner, Obviously additional cost I was hoping to avoid.

    EOI updates

HI we have drafted out our EOI last night and saved it upto completion due to only having 55 points. We should get 60 points this weekend as the work experience totals 5 years. We have left current work position with blank end dates as instructed so the timeframe is supposed to automatically update. Now here is the big question? On sunday 1st October we will have 60 points but does the skill select system work of Australia time ie would it think we have 60 points at 3pm on Saturday and update it to 60 points and be eligible for invitation or should we not submit it and manually do it on sunday as the 5 years work experience is based on UK calendar years. I know it wont make much difference to the invite as the next round is 4th October and we are unlikely to be picked up yet but a little thing in my head is saying to just wait a bit and submit on sunday so as not to give any reason for them to say you don't have evidence for the experience claimed. any thoughts?
  15. Just an update - as of 20th September the cut off is 65 point with a DOE 13th September 2017 so 4th October round having 1250 invites available should see some 60 pointers from 21st June 2017 onward get some invites.
  16. Results are up from last invitation round and the effective date is 13/09/17 so looks promising for 60 pointers on next round 4th October. But there are less invites being given in october. We are putting EOI in on 1st October with 60 points so we will have to wait a while by the looks of it.
  17. There is a part on the website where it tells you what is required for your licence. Im pretty sure i read if you passed you test less then 2 years ago you have to have P plates.
  18. First thing that jumps out to me there is no reference to the ANSCO code for which you are applying for a skills assessment for. Also the detail in duties is very vauge. You need to look at the job description for the specific ansco code you are applying under and illustrate you have performed those roles to a competent level. The narrative is written more as a general reference of character and not a professional reference of skills and ability. Hope this helps steve
  19. Hi Richard my wife had her skills assessment as nurse done with ANMAC and provided 3 years of experience ( 2 jobs) as although she had 4.5 years she didn't want to let current employer know and we wouldn't have gained any more points anyway. However due to missing out on IELTS points we have waited until she has 5 years experience (this weekend) and are planning on claiming the extra 5 points for this experience providing payslips, p60's, contracts etc for the whole 5 years. I'm sure this is ok and has been done before but just wanted confirmation? steve
  20. Link is now working. Cut-off was 65 points with effective date of 13th September so there's a chance we will see some 60 pointers on next round 4th October. Well we can hope anyway.
  21. The border website is now showing 20th September as the current invitation round however I could not get the page to load yet. Unfortunatly it does state each invitation round in October will only be 1250 down from the 1750 per round in September. This will no doubt slow down the invitations again.
