  1. I've been out of the loop a bit but just to say congratulations to everyone who have received their visa over the last few weeks. Great to see that DIAC are granting them thick and fast and about time!
  2. Congratulations Emma! That's great news! I'm praying I'm not too far behind. Did you call to speak to your CO or did he contact you directly?
  3. <p>Thinking of you on what must be a very difficult day for you and your family. Massive 's xxxx</p>

  4.

<p>Hello: ). I am good thanks. Had a pretty chilled day today spent with my mum. She's been getting a bit upset as my visa grant it getting closer (still not close enough mind you!) so I took her out for some mum and daughter time. </p>

  5. This is so good, thank you! I will give this information to my OH immediately who will be very pleased indeed!
  6. Bloomin hec GeorgeD, I was trying to read that post WAY too fast to find out your news! Its in the bag by the sound of it - so no more worrying and enjoy as you have your visa! Woohooo!
  7. <p>Hey hun. Hope your little one (and mum) get a good nights sleep tonight <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p>

  8. You are so well humoured about it all. I would be going out of my mind! Fingers crossed that Tomorrow Is The Day!
  9. I generally aim to remain optimistic, though I have to say that DIAC have over the months tested this attribute I try to maintain:laugh: Hope you find that this is good news for you.
  10. Might it be that those periods you mention are slightly lacking in evidence on the relationship requirement? Perhaps they are thinking that you may be immediately eligible for the permanent visa, which is great news I would think!
  11. Hi Swifty99, There has been a bit of debate about this (see earlier in this thread), but we believe its from when the application is received to Australia House (or wherever it was lodged).
  12. Wow, just seen your time line - you may have your visa in a week! That would be superb! Fingers crossed for you. Can't believe I might still have 2 more months of this to do. I never imagined it would be this hard waiting. :arghh:
  13. Hi all, There seems to be quite a lot of discussion on here as to how appropriate it is or isn't to contact COs as to the status of applications. Just wanted to pass on that I contacted my CO today to find out whether my medical had been received (was sent to AH 3 weeks ago) and I received a reply on email 2 hours later. This is only the 2nd time I have been in touch with AH, but I have to say that so far I am impressed at how quickly they have responded to me and I haven't got the impression that I am hassling them or putting them out - in fact both responses have been very helpful. Perhaps I have just been lucky with my CO? The email also said that the current processing time for my visa was still 4 months, but that this was subject to change, though they would hope to honour this 4 month time line wherever possible. Of course I undertstand that this could change any time but so far, so good! Hope this may help some of you! And breathe....! Kat x
  14. That's great, you must be so happy! I am dreaming of the day I get that email....
  15. Hi Emmaroo. Yep, I am starting to get that impression too. Just when you start to relax and think you have it nailed, something comes to the surface to worry you. That said, I still think positive thinking is the way to go. Otherwise I think we would all be going stir cray (or *even* more stir crazy). I would like to think that if I have provided all that has been asked of me in the timescales provided that I should be okay. Bring on November and fingers crossed for the rest of you!
  16. Good question. I would be interested to hear anyone's advice on this too! I haven't been contacted by my CO for what feels like an age. I too am hoping this is encouraging but feel myself unable to get too complacent!
  17. <p>Thanks for clicking the chick for me, much appreciated <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p>

  20. <p>Thanks, I will do. Think I am a bit insufferable at the moment, I hate waiting! Have you decided on which Uni you are headed to? Big decisions all round..<img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> x</p>
