  3. <p>Am gibbering wreck. Had 4 days now of solid goodbyes and am drained! Think I'll feel better when I get this week over with. Had my leaving do at work in last night and so at least my hangover is distracting me from how sad I feel! How are you?? xxx</p>

  4. <p>Haha. I don't drive and out nearest supermarket is quite a few miles out. I commute 4 hours a day and am working right up until I go so am flat out for the next week and a half <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Maybe you can get someone you know to post some to you? :jiggy:</p>

  5. <p>LOL! Hi Tony. Afraid there are no Asda's in my neck of the wood so that's an impossible ask mate. Sorry!</p>

<p>Wow, that sounds very scary indeed. Are you still cut off? Are you getting supplies etc. in ok? Its difficult to gauge from the press here what the situation is like up there so can only imagine.</p>

<p>Things good with me thank you. Am a bit of an emotional wreck as have been saying lots of goodbyes over past few weeks but I am very excited indeed <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> xxx</p>

  8. <p>That's a relief to hear. Take care.</p>

  9. <p>Hello you Beaut Old Bloke. You must have had a pretty shocking couple of weeks - I hope that you and Jo are okay. I can only begin to imagine how you are all feeling.</p>

  10. <p>Don't know about you, but I am going about my day, say at work or whatever, and then it will hit me that I am nearly going. At that point I feel sick and excited and completely giddy! Tis a very strange feeling isn't it. Have had any 'goodbyes' yet? They are the worst bit...</p>

  11. <p>G'morning chick! Oh my god, I am going slightly mad I think Em. Its so crazy whenever I realise its literally days away. Think I am sort of in a haze! How about you?? x</p>

<p>Hello <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I am good thanks, but more to the point, how are you? I do hope you are all safe up there, must have been a really scary couple of weeks.</p>

<p>No, not on FB at the mo - may reinstate it at some point but getting addicted to that *again* as well as PIO is not healthy me thinks!</p>

<p>Haha, Steve had no choice but to unpack it as he has no furniture! Though that's a little unfair of me as he's also redecorated the entire house for my arrival so he's been a real sweetie (though he often tells me not to tell anyone about his soft side lol). Ugh, that's really frustrating for you that you you haven't heard anything. For what its worth though, that is also very good news as if there was any problem you would know about it. How long until you meet the 5-6 month wait? You do realise its a matter of when you will get your visa, not if you will get it! Doesn't stop it being excrutiating though hey. At least its Friday! </p>

    <p> </p>

    <p>Love Kat</p>

    <p>xx</p>

  14. Congratulations to those of you who have just been granted your visas! Great start to the New Year!
  15. <p>Hi Chalky. Hope you're doing well and Perth is still treating you well? V funny avatar, haha.</p>

  16. No problem, you're very welcome. I'm no expert, just happen to have gone through the same process very recently (well, similar, I have a 309 Defacto visa). Afraid that being apart makes no ounce of difference to DIAC. I have been apart from my boyfriend for getting on for 7 months (tough) and afraid that it isn't a factor to them and won't speed things up . I think that most people are finding that the time line stated by DIAC is pretty accurate for visa approvals. Not sure I've heard of anyone getting their visa granted earlier than the estimated time. But you can always hope. Though wouldn't get your hopes up too high. We weren't asked to be interviewed at all, not everyone is. But would have thought it would be over the phone if you are.
  17. Hi guys, Sounds like a great dream, good luck with the Cafe! I gather that DIAC waiting times are being processed within 5-6 months at present (which goes for both the PMV and 309 partner visa, as far as I know). The waiting times for these went up after the Australian General Election last year. This can change though, and regularly does. Only a couple of years ago processing times were only a matter of weeks! Your CO should be able to update you on this but don't be afraid to ask. Most people think its a good idea not to hassle their CO too often, but I wouldn't worry about getting in touch if you have any queries. My CO was really helpful. Katherine
  18. Hi guys, Yes, sounds as though that will be your CO. Yep, Melbourne is lovely, I can't wait. I'll be out in the Western Suburbs to start with, then if I ever win the lotto hopefully Williamstown, I love it there. I'm looking forward to exploring far more in the coming months and years! Where are you headed once your visa is in the bag? Hope you get through the next few months wait without driving yourselves too crazy. We're led to believe that the PMV and 309 Partner visas are some of the most straightforward but its still an anxious time, no doubt about that! Best of luck with it.
  19. Hi Ez and Luch, Welcome to PIO. Good luck with your application! I know that Australia house had a shutdown period over Christmas and the New Year, so I really wouldn't worry that you haven't heard anything from them yet. The bank holidays this year have meant that the usual hols period has been slightly extended too. If you haven't heard from them by the end of the week perhaps just give them a call? Presumably you have a CO? Katherine
  20. <p>Happy New Year to you and little one Daisy </p>

  21.

<p>I know all about flaking out early. I was in Thailand for a Full Moon Party about 10 years ago, and decided to have a nap so I would survive the night. Woke up at 9am the following day and missed the whole damn thing. :embarrassed:</p>

    <p> </p>

<p>Hope you had a good night though! xxx</p>

  22. <p>Sounds like you had a much more fun night than me, then! Hope your hangover is better! <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p>

  23. <p>You too eh? lol. Hope you had a good night? Care to share what you got up to? :wubclub:</p>

  24. <p>Hope you had a great New Year! Am still a bit drunk, lol, expecting the hangover to be a corker :arghh::hug:</p>

  25. <p>Happy New Year lovely lady! All the best for 2011:hug:</p>
