    Hi, I believe my answer will be it's possible but I would need a letter from my consultant to say there's no issues but has anyone moved or any agent successfully represented someone who's moved with a pacemaker? do I need to get a letter from a\ specific consultant or would mine be ok? Do I need extra tests etc? Do I need a certain amount of time left on my battery? any advise much appreciated.

    Hi all, I'm confused, I thought I had it figured out but after speaking to ANMAC they said my wife can do a modified skills assessment if shes registered with APHRA and wont need to do the IELTS, does this mean she doesn't have to do the IELTS or does she still need it for the 189 visa?

    Quick question, am I right in thinking once IELTS is passed and a suitable score obtained nurses/midwives etc have to then apply to ANMAC and once the skills assessment is approved then and only then can they apply for a skilled visa? once the visa comes through then AHPRA should be applied to due to the new rules?

    how long they take on average to complete registration? if the visas are taking 7mths and from what I hear and I could be wrong AHPRA normally takes 3mths? we might as well wait for the visas to come through or start AHPRA at month 6, 3mths really isn't a long time, is it just AHPRA or ANMAC as well?

    is this correct? APHRA also regarding certifying docs (below) Outside Australia, the following people are authorised to certify documents: Justice of the Peace Notary public Australian Consular Officer or Australian Diplomatic Officer (within the meaning of the Consular Fees Act 1955) Employee of the Commonwealth or the Australian Trade Commission who works outside Australia. I work for the commonwealth but I guess I can't certify them?

    so as a midwife does she apply to both ANMAC and APHRA? what's the difference?

    I believe Midwifery requires evidence and references, so once my wife registers she has to visit Australia to complete it? that don't sound right surely?

    HI all, Can someone tell me if I have this process correct? Complete IELTS, PTE etc with an adequate grade Register with APHRA supplying supporting docs etc once registered submit EOI receive an invite to apply for visa apply for visa uploading all docs upload police and medical checks receive visa we're weighing up the possibility of applying with or without an agent, I want to find out how difficult it's going to be, not sure if me having a pacemaker will make it too difficult to go at it alone?

    Yeah edge hill was lovelly, but weve found where we want to eventually live and thats kanimbla, we found everyone was really friendly and more respectful than they are in the uk, it is however completley different to the uk and a little less convenient, we unfortunately went over easter bank holiday and like the 80's in the uk everything except restaurants shut for 3 days, all the malls shut at 17:30 as well, but its just a slight adjustment to lifestyle but we all loved it and my wife is starting to study now for the PTE exam we just need to decide if we're going to instruct an agent or do it ourselves.

    Hi all, Posting here as i think ill get a better response, who used an agent to emigrate? And what agent did you use? We're in The process of either instricting an agent or going it alone, we've had family memebers ripped off by agents in the passed and we cant afford to lose any money, so if you can recommend an agent that would be great or ahare your experience (and links) of going it alone.     $3000 pa for a state school wow thats ridiculous.

    Fair enough but also be warned student loan never gets written off and its a government debt so they can and will chase you overseas and can take you to coury in australia.
