  1. Lol, there's loads of signage now, but the population has almost doubled as well, MK is one of those places you don't get until you've lived.
  2. Nothing wrong with MK, but I have lived in MK most my life lol, we were originally thinking Adelaide not sure why it's been crossed of, Canberra was mainly due to work, cairns because my wife has a friend there and the climate, We don't want a London type city but also don't want a Grimsby.
  3. that's really good to know thank you, I may contact you once everything is underway for advise if that's ok?
  4. the plan would be to apply for citizenship after 2-3 yrs
  5. That's almost an entire years wage, that's ridiculous, I guess Canberra is out.
  6. I unfortunately do work in abut I maybe able to get a job in the British Embassy, if not i'll work in McDonald's if I really have to, my children are at the moment 11/9/6 we've been to Florida many times for 3 weeks at a time, it's a similar climate to Cairns and we were all fine with it, aren't the Australian public schools free?
  7. Hi, I have a dilemma, were thinking of moving to oz but going on a holiday there first but only for 1 week (mad I know) but we can only go to cairns of Canberra, my wife is a midwife and in Canberra she can get $6-8k sin relocation money and well paid job they'll sponsor her and help- with the application, how-ever the climate is n't as good as cairns. in cairns she can get a well paid job possibly relocation money but the weather is better more of what we want, the issue is we have 3 children coming with us and need to get the location right the first time as we don;t want to disrupt them too much. please give me the positives and negatives of both plus your personal opinions.

  9. She would deffo want to stay a midwife, what are the working hours? Here she works ridiculous hours and paid peanuts looks like she could get upto $84000 p/y but I think that's doubtful
  10. Does this include the quarentine fees? it's much cheaper than I thought, I was thinking this price per cat.
  11. We havespersians 1 white and silver shaded and 1 blue with blue shading they're 99% indoor cats and only go in the garden (monitored) to eat some grass and then back in doors and this is only 2-3 times a week for 10 mins or so at most and never left alone, partly because persians don;t fare well as an outdoor cat and partly because people steal persians.
  12. Hi all, my wife is a midwife of 2 yrs band 6, what could she realisticly expect to earn in oz, thinking nsw or cairns. cheers
  13. Hi all, I'm Carl looking at moving to Oz in next couple of yrs wife is a midwife so should be relatively easy Anyone know of any good worthwhile expos? Cheers
